Hi gang. I got curious about the Rx planets from a few conversations at astro 2.0 & found this article.

http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/retrogradeplanets.htm#juprx

My Rx is Mars & I found the explanation 100% accurate.

Interesting!
I have natal Uranus (Libra/5), Neptune (Sagittarius/6), and Pluto (Libra/5).

I am not sure if Pluto still counts, but I found the information partially applicable to my approaches and feelings.

Will have to look into this, particularly how it relates to houses, aspects, and such. Thank you!

Welcome running bull.

It's uncanny to say the least. I recently had a big taste of swallowing my anger & let me just say it was hard.

Hi Spanky - personal planet retros (mercury/venus/mars) are always pretty obvious to me.. they almost overtake the sign influence.

The only one of these I find difficult to deal with is Venus retro.. but that's probably because we expect some socializing from Venus.. and it feel uncomfortable when the person seems very removed.

With Mars Retro - it wouldn't affect your relationship with others as much as it affects you personally. For example, perhaps you find it difficult to take physical action (whatever that may be) - inertia.. but you could at the same time be very artistic (since the sign is Taurus).. and direct the energy towards something inward/spiritual.

Just curious - what degree is your Taurean Mars? I would guess *early* - I'm feeling the love LOL I always do with early Taurus.

My Venus may be in Taurus - One of the reasons I was leaning towards Taurus is that I attract Taurus Mars men like it's the end of the world and I'm the only woman left alive lol

:edit: pssssssssssst I'm not calling you a lesbian btw I'm feelin' friendly *love* LOL

ROFL@U VL

Yes I'm early Taurus Mars. Around the 4 degree mark I think.

My trouble comes in regards to standing up for myself around pushy people. I am one of those unfortunate people who believes that they don't have to raise their voice or stomp their feet to get the point across. I'm such an idiot, lol.

I can't stand the whole song & dance routine that follows after I speak up. Drives me freaking bananas.

Spanky Butler, I have to deal with the same thing. I've had problems standing up for myself until recently. Now I have no tolerance for people that lack common sense which makes sense because I have RX Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in the first house. These retrogrades are starting to have less effect on me, but RX Saturn is the most prominent or I've noticed it more the than others (its closet to the ASC).

The hardest problem with having RX planets especially in the first house is you tend to come across to others as very subtle and not have much of a personality even though to me I feel like I'm trying really hard to be a charming and approachable person.

If you had anymore personality I would have to break out the hose. What rubbish!

PS I did say the with love. Hard to tell I know but it's in there somewhere.

HUGE FREAKING EDIT

Apologies Vertiver. I cannot read it seems & I mistook you for Vapor lash.

Now if you will excuse me I have an appointment with my wall.

I think we all might need a reminder as it's getting feisty around these parts kids.

2009 Planet and Mercury Retrogrades

Astro-Tip:

When Mercury is Direct

Communicate: A good time to write important letters, sign contracts, express yourself, buy a car, get your car serviced, publish, advertise, make important phone calls, plan or take a trip.

When Mercury is Retrograde

Use an extra dose of clarity, caution and care pertaining to travel, especially by car, communications of any kind, contracts, sending letters and publishing.

If you can avoid the above until the retrograde period ends that's even better.

MARS Rx

Mars Retrograde
* reconsiders before expressing anger
* finds competitive situations hard to handle
* tends to repress and so ....
* can become depressed
Mars represents direct energy, physical expression, individual action and assertiveness, as well as anger, desire, sexuality, competitiveness and motivation for self interest. Mars energies tend to burst forward exerted in short duration. Every two years Mars goes retrograde for two to two-and-a-half months. What often results are upsets and frustrations in daily life as emotions which should be externalized becoming internalized, a kind of chewing up one’s self. When you finally explode, it is likely as not that in doing so you will be acting out aggressively against your own self interest.

If you have Mars in retrograde in your natal chart, you may find that you are waging an internal battle causing you difficulty in asserting yourself because you are afraid of the consequences of releasing your anger. You may tend to over think before you act. You may find that you have a tendency to hold back. In karmic terms, you are likely to be attempting to make up for some vaguely recollected but deeply influential past misdeeds you now regret. Whatever the cause, you are holding yourself back instead of standing up directly for your own interests. This works directly against the life lesson that you are here to accomplish. Your are learning about yourself, defining who you are by what actions you take. You will need to let go of timidity or a lack of direction in order work out how you can initiate actions without creating a chaos of needless destruction. Here is a key indicated by your 7th House Sign and its natural ruler Venus.

Shown for time zone 0 hours. Exact time will vary depending on the time zone.

I have Mars/Saturn/Pluto stellium conjunct, all Rx. I hold back many times because the anger takes hold so strongly I physically feel that I will end up killing someone. My body starts shaking so uncomfortably its horrible. To me I can't see myself letting out just a bit, it's impossible. And many times my anger is used against me I believe because other people see that. Issues like this are ones that make me want to know what a professional astrologer's take on this would be since its a unique configuration.

I feel the same way about many retros. Almost like a veil over the personality. Edit: I think the veil can be seen both ways, looking outward and then through noting other's reactions.

That's a bad set up you have & I feel for you.

I do wonder how you hare coping with the current Rx's at the moment. Specifically Mars & Mercury?

Normally during a Mars Rx I actually feel quite fine but since December I have Tr Pluto op N Saturn & Tr Saturn conjunct Pluto adding to the mix & let me tell you I could kill anyone right now. Everything is annoying me & I'm constantly apologizing to my son as we speak.

Thank God he's the forgiving type lol.

Hi Spanks

Actually there was one who took a brief look, not in depth tho, and stated Martial Arts would be effective for me as well as Kundalini Yoga, of course the conj is in Libra since the last stellium was in Leo and Im definitely not Hilary Clinton! I really think any help I get for this is going to have to be physical, because we know the energy's gotta go somewhere

With the current Rxs Im seeing the ramifications of holding the energy in, whereas in the past I had a vague idea but with Saturn and pluto added I had much resistance. My Sun is actually going to progress into Aries in March and I'm wondering how that, or if at all, may help with that side. Also...I've noticed t.Mercury especially squaring or opposing my stellium is just, nightmarish in terms of facing the energy "out there."

So you know about Saturn/Pluto action too!The boy will love you regardless...It's all they know to do Talk about close family as soul mates huh!

As a quick afterthought regarding Mars Rx I think you begin to see after a while just how many people misuse their anger, how quick they are to look for a fight (this is probably related to past life mis-use if one follows reincarnation train etc) - and I think it may add resistance to releasing anger in an unhealthy manner since there is fear of being what one notices all around.

Wish I knew more Mars Rx's..we'd probably get along better

I would go with Yoga Lonnie. Mastery of the mind/body/spirit is the key for people like us I think.

My guides have been nagging me incessantly about yoga/vegetarianism etc for the loooooonnngest time & I keep Rx-ing my Mars a$$, lol.

My Moon progressed into Aries this year & woo hoo for you. I think you will like it. The interesting thing for me about this is I always put myself last over everybody & this progression has changed my thoughts/actions in a good way.

I have too, recently become aware of how others act in the grips of their anger & I'm feeling the need to end a few friendships over this very issue.

Transformation has hit Spunky town for sure.
