On January 15th, we welcome the New Moon Solar Eclipse. This eclipse continues the transformational energies of the lunar eclipse of Dec. 31st. Our relationships and belief systems take center stage during this cycle. Some of us are feeling disconnected and disoriented as our lives, relationships, and beliefs take different and unexpected directions. Breathe! Eclipses shake up the status quo. They help to unearth the illusions, dependencies, and beliefs that blind us to our true potential. Coupled with the New Moon, this eclipse empowers us to end what no longer nurtures or supports our soul journey. To fully utilize the energies of this 2 week timeframe- address unfinished business.Put your past into perspective to clarify your gifts and limitations. Explore your potential and learn new ways to grow beyond challenges. This is a learning period. Do not judge yourself by your external progress. There may not be immediate reward. Have patience. Most importantly, let down your defenses and allow Love to enter.Share of yourself. Accept and give love. It fortifies us so that we can weather any fear or frustration. Love gives us the power to make Miracles of our lives. In 2010, we will be working predominantly with the energies of the Divine Feminine and healing our hearts. This year offers opportunities to rebirth ourselves and to bring the world into a higher octave of Love. In Light, Diana

“A drop of rain dripping from the clouds Felt ashamed when it saw the vastness of the sea: ‘Where there is a sea, what am I! If it is there, then I am nowhere.’ When it saw itself with humility An oyster adopted it and nourished it with heart: Fate carried on its work to such an extent That it became a celebrated pearl, befitting a king. It attained sublimeness when it humbled itself; Knocking at the door of non-existence, it became existent.”– Saadi

One of the brethren had sinned, and the priest told him to leave the community. So then Abbot Bessarion got up and walked out with him, saying: I too am a sinner!~ The Sayings of the Desert Fathers IP: Logged |

Love is the scariest thing. Loves makes you defenseless, trusting, and more concerned for your attacker than yourself. Love renders you a child, innocent of every teaching. Love confuses you, and makes you wonder, "What is love?", until you test, examine, and squeeze everything, and everyone, to see what kind of love, and how much love, is there. Love has you living for others, and dreaming your dreams in secret. Love puts out the flame of individuation, and ushers you blind into the service of every individual other than yourself. Until you grow so weak in soul that you have to pity, and finally love, yourself. Love tolerates your sins like a sucker. Love takes simple joy in you, as in a child. Is so patient with you, and regards your trespasses only for reasons to love you more. Love sees what nobody sees in you. ~ Valerian Silenus Valus

I think about this subject from time to time, especially around Christmas when I visited Elvis' house as well as when I watched some old Danny Kaye movie. Years ago, when there were less people it was easier for people to make names for themselves. There was less competition, and the circles of contacts were smaller. Seems like a danger to expand the community too far. IP: Logged |
