If you, like me, are just a wee bit intimidated by Horary charts, this link should help.

Horary

I put my hand up & say YES! I am Horary handicapped.

That's a great link, thanks for posting!

I did a Horary (my first) on 12 January.. looked at it and thought.. huh?? lol

So this thread has come in handy and at a good time!

I can't really interpret it properly except that the conclusion will come in either 18 weeks or 18 months (they don't tell you which significator you are supposed to use to choose the house from. One was cadent and one was succedent) and should be good because the moon's last aspect as it comes out of sign was a sextile to Jupiter. (Well, I am taking that as a good thing).

hmm let's see if I can do this (I hope you don't mind me posting it here).

Significator of the Querent is conjunct Sun and NN in 9th.
Significator of the Quesited is 18 degrees away. The Significator of the Querent is parrallel to the Significator of the Qesited by 2 degrees. This means that the chart is readable (I think). ASC is 16 degrees of the sign, so smack bang in the middle. No doubt the question was ask-able

No planets conjunct the ASC.

Moon makes a separating trine to Mars(indicating that a confrontation has already taken place) and an applying square to Uranus (sudden/unexpected developments). The next aspect it makes straight away is sextile to Neptune (idealism/compassion or illusion/deception/confusion) I hope the sextile means it's more positive than negative X) Then the last aspect is sextile Jupiter which is how the query will turn out. {Can somebody tell me whether this gives the final outcome/answer?} Hopefully this question will end well with growth, prosperity and good luck.

I'm not sure if this gives me a Yes / No answer (I asked a Yes/No question) but this is telling me, Yes .. but only after some weird stuff happens lol

Other planets made aspects but the site doesn't really tell you how to interpret those XP

Thanks again for posting .. this has been very helpful

No worries MsCandeh

We could all use some help with it I think.

Horary is a scientific art unto itself that requires a Uni degree imo.

Post away cherub. I don't mind at all.

Thanks

I am going to see if I can figure out how to read aspects that are not to do with significators, and write my thoughts back on this thread

I wonder if we can include points like the Vertex and asteroids into the chart? Because the Vertex is conjunct the Signifcator of the Quesited for this question.

quote:
In lost object horaries, which house is the 2nd house ruler in? This will often show you right away where your lost object is. Is the 2nd house ruler placed in the 9th house? Try the upstairs study. Is it in the 10th? You might have left the object at work. In the 6th? Check under your washing machine or out in the tool shed!

I did a lost object horary. The 2nd ruler is in the 7th house. Where on earth would it be?? Does it mean someone has taken it? I have The Rulership Book which indicates theft (can't see who would have, or why, or if this was even possible?) but it also indicates close friends, and friends of sisters in law (I live with my brother and his SO). I can't see any places it could be that is ruled by 7th Maybe I have left it at a close friend's house? (again, I don't see how this would be possible as I only wore it a few times and remember coming home after each occasion)
Also I read in the book that "clothing, general" is ruled by the 6th house. Well the 6th house ruler (Jupiter) is in the same sign/house as the Moon (the signficator to the querent) but the Moon is separating from Jupiter, 13 degrees and counting. Does this mean it's lost forever? I've been looking for about 4 weeks for this item of clothing.

The next aspect the moon makes is an applying conjunct to uranus. Maybe it will suddenly appear in 10 days/weeks. But if you take into consideration what else the horary information has been saying, it's do do with the degrees between SOQuerent and SOQuesited which is a 13 deg separating aspect. I last wore this shirt in early-mid December. (So 13 days, hours or weeks is incorrect).

I'll post the chart:

Any ideas where my shirt is? lol

Going by this means that Virgo is the 2nd house & it's ruler Mercury is in 6th. How does this change the way you look at the question/chart?

Um well if I am correct and clothing is ruled by the 6th house, then the lost object ruler (I thought it was the Sun/Leo?) is in the 6th house of clothes.

Maybe this means that the object will be found? Though, it's a separating sextile aspect of 67 degrees.

I'm confused

I still can't find it.

My brother needs to sort out his clean washing from a few weeks ago though.. I had an idea that Merc can represent siblings.. and it being in the 6th house could mean that it's caught up in all of his washing (which could also be represented by 6th house).

I did ask him but he didn't look! ergh. I'll report back hopefully with one lost object re-found

For the SOQuesited, you used the Sun, right?

I've read that the ruler of the handicapped sign in the representative house isn't really relevant:

No I haven't! but that night I got distracted (but I managed to look in the 3 tool sheds and around the washing baskets/washing machine - no luck) and last night I was out after work and flopped into bed as soon as I got home!

I was just studying the horary chart then and I had an idea:

Sun - 2nd house ruler .. is conjunct Venus.

Venus rules Libra and Taurus.
LIBRA is the ruler of the 3rd house (siblings)

I reckon he has it!

I am so doing a raid tonight! I'll report back.

Sorry comica I havent had a chance to read the link.. but I will tonight!
