Okay, so I'm new to astrology, but I want to learn SO bad... I'm taking it in little by little and find astro.com to be such an awesome site for doing just that.So here's my odd question... I've heard the terms squared and conjunct.. How can you tell if you are squared or conjunct someone's....other info..? Is there a place on astro.com that tells you this or explains it better? I've been curious about comparing other people's charts to mine and how to do so, but not sure where to look... so thought I'd toss that out there Sun Moon ASC IP: Logged |

I am right there with ya WinkAway. There is soooo much to take in, it must have taken these guys years. I am hoping it will come to me like a flash of light, but I am guessing that it will take a little more effort than that! IP: Logged |

a square is 90* give or take a couple. conjunct is in the same place. you can either compare placements by looking at individual charts or go to the extended chart section and choose "synastry chart" from the selection of types of charts...astro however does not give the numerical values on synastry charts so best to look at the individual charts as well so you can do the math!! which unfortunately is a part of astrology no matter how you do it... Squares: one of your planets makes an angle of about 90 degrees with the other person planet or point (Ascendent, descendent, midheaven). conjunct: angle of about 0 you can go to astro.com and run a report name synastry and u will get the report. the symbols are explained in one part of the site. enjoy the journey!
