Hello,

I know I've been a bit missing in action lately--most of you know I've been reeling from my breakup earlier this year

BUT...the good news is, things are looking up! Some great things have happened. So great, I took a peek at my solar return again to see what was up and was amazed at how accurate it's turning out!

I won't keep you in suspense, I'm just too excited. Here it is:

Can you see my:

*Career change/new job?
*VIP promotion and MAJOR salary increase--$$$$$$$?
*Relocation (I'm moving in a month)
*Increased interest in the occult and enhanced psychic sensitivities?

The only unknown is that Mars in the 8th...it's even accurate to the point that this just wasn't my year for love...not a thing going on in any of the romance/love houses.

Perhaps I haven't given up on astrology after all...I'm feeling better than I have in weeks. As long as nothing disastrous is lurking with Mars in the 8th (natally it's on my 6th house), I think I'll look at 2010 in a whole new light. I have been driving myself like a slave...think I'll slow down a bit now that I know things will be ok.

Congratulations!

I am very happy for you!

As for not being a year for relationships, There is the Venus-Neptune opposition, but you have to make sure that you don't get too idealistic and dreamy. It can be a very romantic time, and you might meet somebody and feel that you're on Cloud 9. That's not necessarily a bad thing. You can avoid the negative Neptune stuff by going for the positive Neptune stuff like inspiration, the mystical, and compassion. You can be with a partner with those traits.

Again, congratulations! I wish more great things for you!

peace

Hi Raymond,

Thanks! That's a positive way to look at it, although I've found for me, Venus & Neptune together tends to be less about idealism and romance and more about Neptune googles. I get sucked into the dark side of Neptune (delusion) really easily So while I've got several months left in this year's return chart, I dunno...my gut is telling me it ain't happening before the fall.

My next birthday in September (or actually the solar return period beginning in late summer) might be my time for romance though! Next year's solar return is looking like a whole new ball game! Here's that one:

2010/2011 SOLAR RETURN CHART

It's so interesting...usually I am super relationship oriented but at the moment I can honestly say it's the furthest thing from my mind...perhaps because I'm still licking my wounds, but I suspect I'll also be far too busy with my new career. I'm just giddy and excited and can't believe how things turned around. That's Pluto for you. It was either going to bring me to the depths of despair financially (layoffs were a possibility like they have been for everyone in this economy) or to heights I'd never seen...glad it chose the latter, especially as I enter my Saturn return!

StarrofVenus,

I couldn't get over how your Solar Return chart really played out. It's amazing! It seems that the house placements of the Solar Return played out big time!

It's something that can't be ignored. House placements work! If they work, so do the signs. I guess I better start paying attention to my Solar Return the mainstream way again. I really do like using the whole sign house system, and so I will stick with that. I will stick with the tropical sign house system because we're so linked to seasons any way.

but yeah.....you're an excellent example of how Solar Returns play out.

Thank you for opening my eyes. I wish skeptics, critics would open their eyes too.

again, I congratulate you on your success! May more success come to you!

I am very happy for you!

HUGS

Raymond

Yup makes me think about how i have been looking at SR till now:with houses and natal.

but on looking at only the sr chart, seems that house placements worked big time!

it is everything there!hihihih

i looked at mine and of my bf still till our birthday of this year( includes from no till then)and we have similar placements:

-URanus in the 3rd
-mars in 7Th trine uranus
-Venus in 8th trine Plut/ASC
-Jup/kiron/nept in 2nd trine MC
- Stellium in 9th:Union/saturn/merc/mora

but his Sun is in the 9th while mine is still in 8th
-His Pluto/moon in 1st as mine, but his Pluto cj his ASC while my Moon/Pluto are both cj in 0 CAP.

Glaucus,

"It's something that can't be ignored. House placements work! If they work, so do the signs. I guess I better start paying attention to my Solar Return the mainstream way again."
I have nothing but the greatest admiration for you.
It takes a really open mind to allow different perspectives simultaneously.

Starr of Venus,

I don`t know if I told you. But I am sorry about the hard year you have had. But you really handled it well. Admirable.
And I am glad how it all plays out for you right now, you deserve the best.

And of course I am glad to see how your Solar Return works for you.

You know, I never really believed in Solar Returns, but last year I have had SR Moon and Saturn in Virgo in 6th house.
Saturn was squaring SR Mars in my natal 1st house.
And SR Moon was squaring my natal Mars.

Well, Virgo - 6th house is associated with the digestive system, right?

At the time transiting Sun (and Saturn) were transiting over SR Moon and Saturn, I suddenly developed problems with my digestive system, which peaked around the time Tr Saturn was conjunct my natal Mars-Saturn-mp and squaring my Sun, which then led me to change my eating pattern very much.

It was clear to see from the SR Moon in Virgo in 6th house (and trine Pluto) that there would be things I will have to "digest", emotionally as well as physically (Mars in 1st house is very physical); I didn`t believe it at the beginning of the year, but it happened.

EDIT:
Well, I guess I really have to take care of myself this year, as I have:

Sun, Pluto, Moon, Mercury and NN in the SR 6th house. Well, int he whole sign houses system it would be the 7th house.

Hi darlings,

Yes, this SR has definitely made a believer out of me. And it's also why I'm going to be patient with the universe and see what next year's SR brings on the romance front. That Sun in the 7th looks very promising. And that Venus/Mars conjunction in Scorpio in the 8th house is sending shivers up my spine LOL!

The move I'm about to undergo will also put me a lot closer to some very good friends so I'm excited about that Moon and NN in the 11th house for next year...I'm hoping my friendships will grow super strong and that I'll make lots of new friends in my new city

As far as this year, yes the interpretations were right on point.

Sun in the 10th House: This is a year for hard work, progress and advancement. Your ambitions will be high, your will to accomplish very strong, no matter what difficulties you may face, you should be able to resolve your problems to your advantage and satisfaction. Ambitious plans important goals fill your thoughts as you make confident decisions about where your life and career are headed. This is a good time to push for advancement. You will find yourself in the career spotlight this year, which means that you are likely to be recognized for professional achievements, and to receive honor and prestige in recognition of all your hard work. Taking on responsibility and authority, you might get a promotion along with a raise.

Saturn in the 10th House: Although you may be in a stable situation at your work place, you will not be completely satisfied and will want to look for a new position.

Sun conjunct Saturn in SR: You will have to organize your life during this year and tackle situations that you have put aside before. This astrological conjunction forces you to see things realistically. It is important that you become aware of this because, the more realistic you are, the more profit you will gain this year. You will probably have to forego, or limit, the time you normally spend on amusement and entertainment. You will have a more serious and responsible attitude; this will be a year of maturation.

Pluto in the 2nd House: Pluto in the Solar Return second house denotes dramatic changes in one’s finances, whether favorable or unfavorable according to the aspects to the sixth and tenth houses. The important message of Pluto in the second is not whether we gain or lose, but rather, will we make the necessary dramatic changes in our lives for a better future - OR - This year will bring profound changes in your economy. Possibilities for new means of income will appear that will overcome your expectations, but at the same time presupposes radical changes in your way of living.

*North Node in the second house of the SR indicates a radical change in finances also.

Jupiter in the 3rd house: Can point to possible travels and much movement. It may announce a new job, or a new love affair, or a new therapy involving commuting – usually, a happy and easy commuting. It further portends much communication...good news arrives to you by letter, by cable, by fax, or by telephone. You experience good luck in your education.

*This relocation dramatically improves my daily commute and the new job will pay for my graduate school 100%.

Uranus in the 4th house: Uranus in the solar return 4th house is a likely indicator of moving to a new one.

Venus in the 9th house: An emphasis on spiritual, philosophical, and perhaps legal matters. Trips to foreign countries, interactions with foreigners.

*This job has the possibility of foreign travel and there is the spiritual evolution that I've been experiencing, which is also indicated by the critical degree of the Ascendant in Scorpio.

Moon conjunct Midheaven: Increased visibility and authority at work, emotional involvement with one's work, recognition for one's achievements, etc. Public handling of an emotional situation.

Diandra's interpretation of a female helping me move up in my career was also good--my ex boss gave me an excellent reference for the new job.

I thought of you the other day ~ glad to hear that things are looking up for you.

I can't remember much about my SR ~ except for the retrograde Venus, conjunct Uranus and Mars, and square Pluto (bad year... bad, bad year).

Diandra,

They are snippets from all over, not any one place, I used Google to find descriptions of the aspects, probably the place that had the most descriptions was Cafe Astrology.

BUMP!

I can't find my 2010/2011 SR thread, but my birthday is tomorrow and I want to look at the chart again, which is in this thread. Plus this thread discusses the accuracy of house placements.

Ok, so this bad boy is shaking out already!

Pluto is in the 10th this year. Boy oh boy. Hello Pluto!

My job is still wonderful but I am feeling him already. This week I received a promotion at work that is already proving stressful. It was kind of a "hostile" takeover. Someone was fired and my boss gave me their whole department and those employees are all very resentful. Morale is low, etc. Lots of new projects, stress, etc. But lots of increased power and authority. I've also become a workaholic.
Pluto will either make me or break me in my 10th house this year.

I also was wondering how that Moon in the 11th would shake out. I can't believe how quickly this has manifested. This birthday week has been hectic. Some of my strongest and longest friendships are being heavily tested. I'll leave it at that. Friendships will be a very tender area for me this year, I see that already. The North Node is there as well. I'm a bit heartbroken about that.

The T-square is hitting my first house and the Uranus/Jupiter conjunction is there as well...I already know this is a big year for me. I feel myself evolving and changing. I'm also turning 29. Saturn Return. Not really looking forward to that, this week has been hell, is this what I have to look forward to? Shoot me now.

Other than that, it's probably too soon to tell, but I hope there's some love and romance in this chart because it's a doozy so far. Not all bad, just trial by fire.

I'm also curious if others who were going to study house placements in their SRs have found them to be accurate as time has passed?
