Some of you may remember my post last year in regards to leaving law school because I was not doing very well.

Well, I am still in law school and was placed under academic probation. I did not do a good job last semester although my grades improved. If I don’t do well this semester, I will be dismissed. It is hard, I am very bright and even my professors are surprised, they say I am very smart, friendly, happy, energetic and very empathetic...but I just don’t do well on the tests.

In my old thread, some members suggested that the issue may have been mars in leo retrograding, which conflicts with my mars in aqua in the 6th house.

Well, I don’t know what to do. I am going to burst my arse more, as a student in academic probation, I need to attend certain classes and comply with other stuff.

Anyway, I don’t want to give up at all but you know? I never thought of a plan b. I always wanted to be a lawyer. Nevertheless, I am a realist and I understand if this is not what I should be doing. This is ok, it hurts but it is still ok. I will survive if I can’t do it. The issue is that I do want to pursue higher education anyway, but I don’t know what else would suit me.

So, my questions are:

1. Does my chart show anything that may be conflicting with my law education?
2. Will there be any improvements, that is, are the stars more on my favor for this semester?
3. Is this even what I should be doing? Maybe it is not my soul purpose?
4. What other vocation/profession would I be good at according to my chart?

Any other comments and observations will be greatly and truly appreciated. Thanks.

nothing is conflicting with your law education except you. you better do your work, get good grades and graduate.

do it, you will be proud in the future.

First, what type of law is it that you want to be practicing?

I dont understand the bit about Mars in aqua H6, when it's in H10.

1. Does my chart show anything that may be conflicting with my law education?
Your H3 ruler, the Moon, is conj ASC opp Mercury. Mercury at the dsc is actually very good for mediation and debates, but opposed the Moon, esp Moon being h3 ruler, the memory is not as good as it could be, even though its in a fixed sign. As you like to think about others very much Im gonna suggest making sure you have a study partner for the next term if you choose to continue. Someone who could give you feedback on what you know, and where you could to the same for them, so the info could be more imprinted on the brain. Make sure it's someone who isnt flaky who you can trust to show up on time, etc.
The legal profession typically ruled by Jupiter/Sadge/H9, also in part by Capricorn and Libra. Your empty H9 ruler, Saturn, is square to Jupiter. I see where there could be delays there or hardships related to that area.
Are you wanting to be an environemntal rights lawyer or something along those lines, for civil rights, etc? I think those would be great for you in that field, as well as something dealing with malpractice in hospitals or related to abused/neglected children in foster care possibly.

2. Will there be any improvements, that is, are the stars more on my favor for this semester?
t.Pluto is close to a conj to your natal neptune, this is a transit of shattering illusions. It'll then move into your H9, when it does you should be very sure of yourself academically and be charging along, but right now youre being forced to re-evaluate. Neptune has finished with your mars in your h10 but is still passing through. I think youll be a lil fuzzy on your aims for a bit. When neptune goes h11......I think now you should stick with your Mars aquarius and charge forward. Take all that fixed energy inertia and just make it work for you, put it to good use.

3. Is this even what I should be doing? Maybe it is not my soul purpose?
Ooh soul purpose is more NN...NN Aries H12, you're meant to be a leader behind the scenes, instigating (NN ruler mars in aquarius H10) dynamic new changes in h12 ruled areas: prison system, mental health facilities, etc. NN is trine Uranus in Sadge, a plus, it goes along with a sextile to mars as well. You dont really have too much holding you back on that front.
Sun is where you'd feel like your energy is being restored, where youd feel alive, an ideal work environment would incorporate the sun as well..It's in scorpio H7 TIGHTLY square Mars @ MC, I'll bet you need to feel strongly connected to the people youre meeting with throughout your work, developing strong ties with them, and then moving and branching forward into a new territory. You need BOTH dynamics, not one or the other, or you wont feel fulfilled. I dunno, I like the law for you but I see how it could take you away from the strong personal relationships youd like to foster.

4. What other vocation/profession would I be good at according to my chart?
Haha believe it or not I saw sex therapist. Take from that what you will, it just jumped out I didnt analyze it. Well, not just. MC ruler Uranus in placed in H8 sextile H12/NN ruler, and NN itself. Sun in scorpio in H7 along with Mercury, Pluto H7 ruler conj Venus H1 ruler in H6 of health. People with sexual dysfunction too, as a medical doctor. This is where I got the malpractice lawyer and for those in foster care, etc. that I wrote above. I still like the law for you, if you like it as well, and the only thing holding you back is the tests, why not. But like with everything having a PLAN B is a wise choice.

Your Sun,Mercury,Venus in tropical Scorpio are actually in the constellation of Libra. I am not referring to the Sidereal Zodiac but the actual 13 ecliptic zodiac constellations.
That could indicate a strong sense of Justice.

The following is from Bernadette Brady's Starlight:

The Claws of the Scorpion became known as The Scales around the time of the Greek and early Roman empires. Aratus, in the 4th century bce, referred to the constellation as the Claws of the Scorpion and called them "the mighty Claws; they are scant of light..". However, well before Aratus this part of the sky was also linked to a light or lamp representing the Assyrian god Bir. Bir was known as Father and was a god of fire or great light who was believed to be found amongst these stars. Other images see the stars as a lamp held by the scorpion, a type of light and dark symbol linked in more recent times to the yin/yang symbol of the I Ching.

The Romans claimed they added this sign, bringing the number of the zodiac signs to twelve. But it should be remembered that from at least 2,000 bce there were twelve signs with one, Scorpio, broken into two parts: the Scorpion and the Claws of the Scorpion. The Romans saw Libra as a symbol of justice ruled by their goddess, Astraea (Virgo), who held the Scales in her hands. She is still used today to represent the law and courts.

A possible origin of the scales of Libra being linked to justice could well have emanated from Babylonian and Egyptian theology where the souls of the dead are weighed in a great scale. The Scorpion was seen as the gateway to the after-life, or death which is then followed by the scales of judgement. Justice, death, final judgement, this is the essence of this part of the sky.

Hey folks,

Thanks for the encouragement. I will do my best. And I made a mistake, it was supposed to be the 10th house.

Anyways,

I wonder about the conflict between my mercury and moon. I have great analytical skills but I have a problem putting everything down on paper. I don't know...it is hard to explain. But it is as if the transfer does not occur as it should.

Lonake,

When will tpluto move to H9?
Also, when will neptune go to my H11?

quote:
I like the law for you but I see how it could take you away from the strong personal relationships youd like to foster.

Are you referring to my personal life, such as family, friends and children? Because if that is so, then I can see that. I need to enjoy life and I care for my loved ones. I would never want to neglect my joi de vivre or the people I love. I have sort of a double personality, there is the career woman and then, there is the homely-family oriented-adore to cook-funloving person.

There is the analytical woman and then there is the very intuitive-empathetic-emotional person too.

Sex therapist? Funny...

Thank you very much for the insight.

Glaucus

That is very interesting. I would have never thought of that. It makes sense.

Damn! It just dawned on me!

Why not check the asteroid,Astraea and see how it aspects your chart? Astraea was the daughter of Zeus and Themis. Both Astraea and Themis were goddesses of Justice. Its number is 5. It was the 5th asteroid discovered, and it kinda got Ceres,Pallas,Juno, and Vesta demoted from planet to asteroid. It was 40 years after the first 4 asteroids were discovered that Astraea was discovered. That got astronomers going "wait a minute....is this a planet? it can't be...we need to really check this out!"

There are other asteroids that you might want to check for in regards to justice

24 Themis - Greek Goddess of Justice, mother of Astraea
269 Justitia - Roman version of Themis

you can check here

you might want to check the nodes of Astraea,Themis, and Justitia

geocentric nodes - personal karmic connections
heliocentric nodes - collective karmic connections

use no more than 1 degree orb for the nodes

check NNode,SNode boxes to get the Nodes
to get heliocentric, change the center from geocentric to heliocentric
http://www.true-node.com/pos/

I'd check for you, but I don't have your birthdata

also transneptunian dwarf planet candidate Varuna seems to be associated with Justice and Judgment. It's named after Vedic Indian God of the Oceans who was once supreme ruler deity. He was depicted as carrying a noose and he judged drowned souls.

You might want to check its placement and its nodes, geocentric, heliocentric (both are considered collective karmic connections...helicoentric nodes are more so)
3 degree orb for Varuna
1 degree orb for its nodes

Is it stress?
Has this happened before - in high school.. with tests?

I'm in Australia. Our usual set up at Law School (this applies for Melbourne Uni, Monash Uni, Adelaide Uni, Sydney Uni as far as I know.. although the ANU and NSW are a bit different) goes along these lines:

You get one assignment which is 30% (or so.. sometimes 20%) of your mark.. This is not a compulsory assignment.

You can choose to do it or not.

If you do it then the end of year exam is 70% - If you don't, then the end of year exam is 100%

All exams are about 3 hours long. A majority of exams are open book, but you know what law books are like LOL.. It takes an hour just to find what you need..
Most of the questions are in case form. You are given a few cases which are usually extremely strange and convoluted.. They sound like this:

Angie and Andrea were having dinner at Y Restaurant on the 19th of January this year. The waiter, John - who had been ingesting illegal drugs, was inattentive and accidentally dropped a platter of food onto Andrea's lap. A piece of lemon landed in Andrea's eye partially blinding her. Jack, Andrea's husband was enraged at John's actions and in a fit of anger became physically aggressive. As a result John broke two ribs and fractured his right arm, leaving him unable to continue work for 2 months. As this was happening - Andrea's friend Angie found a snail in her drink (just kiddin' - punt on the Donoghue vs Stevenson case LOL, although if you're in US you may not have heard of it). She became ill and felt dizzy trying to walk outside to get some fresh air. In her unstable state, Angie did not notice one of the missing steps at the entry to the balcony. She tripped and fell over the edge onto Mr and Mrs Jenkins' convertible Lamborghini. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Angie lost her life on impact. Unfortunately Angie had not updated her will (as she did not plan on dying lol) leaving her entire estate to her ex husband Carl. Her current de-facto partner, Jennifer is looking to receive at least part of Angie's estate.

Advise Andrea, Jack, John, Carl and Jennifer, Mr and Mrs Jenkins on the legal actions available to them!

I was just curious.. Is this what your exams are typically like?

The hypo is very similar, practically the same. But, we do take a mandatory midterm, which is around 25% and then a final exam (75%). We also get participation points in all classes and small assignments.

I don't know how to check all of that. And I don't feel comfortable with posting my birthdata. However, I think you are a member of tribe. I am also a member of tribe and I have sent you a message with my birthdata.

Please check it if you are able to and let me know.

Thanks.

Astraea in 11'46 Leo - justice
square Ascendant in 12'33 Taurus - self
(this could indicate a strong justice theme, but the square indicates friction, conflict, but it can productive

Themis in 29'21 Libra
no significant aspects

Justitia in 16'38 Leo
square Moon in 16'19 Taurus
square Ceres in 15'35 Scorpio
square Mercury in 17'02 Scorpio
(this could indicate a strong justice theme, but it's a t-square that indicates great deal of fiction, conflict, and odds, but it can be very productive...Ceres involves, there is possibility that caring for other, nurturing could get in the way. If you balance that out, you can be known as lawyer that cares a great deal about one's clients

sextile Vertex in 16'20 Libra - fated relationships
(could have significant encounters with through the justice system)

Heliocentric Justitia Nodes in 6'50 Virgo/Pisces - Collective Karmic connections involving
sextile Venus/trine in 7'02 Scorpio - love relationships
(could indicate how you value justice, love law,and you can find love, relationships, partnerships by getting involved with the justice system

Heliocentric Themis Nodes in 5'59 Taurus/Scorpio - Collective Karmic connections involving justice
oppose/conjunct Part of Fortune in 5'40 Scorpio - an area where you feel fortunate

there are heliocentric Nodes that are always in alignment with Themis

Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'52 Taurus/Scorpio - Collective Karmic connections involving diversity equality
oppose/conjunct Part of Fortune

another thing too

Vesta , the asteroid of service, dedication, work ethic named after the Roman Goddess of the Sacred Hearth is in 2'36 Aries
sextile your Midheaven in 2'29 Aquarius

with Vesta so closely sextile your Midheaven, it seems that you have opportunity to be in a career that involves service

The Geocentric North Chiron Node in 1'41 Scorpio
square Midheaven in 2'29 Aquarius seems like there could be painful issues involving your career. It could also be that you can be a teacher, healer type.

The Heliocentric Sedna Nodes in 24'02 Leo/Aquarius
oppose/conjunct Mars in 23'11 Aquarius
square Sun in 23'13 Aquarius seems like you have a strong collective karmic connection that involves dealing with issues of betrayal, abuse, victimization, but also dealing with compassion, consciousness and awareness....there are evolutionary intensified lessons involve

(just an experimental question in regards to Sedna - anything unusual about the fingers?)- In the myth, Sedna's fingers got chopped off by her father when she was clinging onto the boat after her father threw her overboard. She sank and became the Goddess of the Oceans and Underworld.

My fingers....not really. Other than the fact that the fingers of my left hand gear toward the left, and the fingers of my right hand gear toward the right, just like my father's.

Thanks for the insight.

I wonder, what do you see in terms of the four questions I posted? And, is there hope despite this tneptune?

Thanks.

Hi Hikoro,

I'm not that great at analyzing charts, but I have been in the exact same situation as you. I know that the situation you're in is scary, frustrating and stressful. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. You were accepted into law school! This means that your school believes you have what it takes to become a lawyer. They wouldn't have accepted you if you didn't prove you were worthy. The question is: do you think you have what it takes?

2. Whenever you learn a new concept or study a new case, you need to pause and think: "Ok, how does this new information fir in with what I know?" Make as many connections between the new material and the old material. The more connections you make, the stronger your memory will be.

3. Try to associate a particular concept with something you find funny. Humor can make even the most convoluted concept easy to remember

4. Join a study group with students who are doing well. Pay attention to how they study

5. As painful as it might be, look at your past exams. Try taking these old tests again. Ask a professor to take a look at one of your answers and give feedback

6. If your school provides tutoring, make sure you take advantage of it!

Good luck and don't give up!
