shiiiiiit, I got Mercury in the 4th, ruled by Cancer..soooo does that mean I'm gonna die by ppl talking and making up rumours about me thats gonna lead to my death??Gives a whole new meaning to sticks and stones.. IP: Logged |

I have been doing some research on the asteroid Atropos (273). In the charts of my family members who have passed away, Atropos was aspecting the Sun, either by conjunction, square, opposition or quincunx. Or it is aspecting the North Node (your purpose in this incarnation) or the Vertex (point of destiny/turning point). Look at both the natal and the progressed chart.My boss's wife died unexpectantly last Friday. When I pulled up her chart, and added Atropos to it, there is was...transiting Atropis conjunct her Sun. Here is something about Atropos, just to show everyone the part she played in the myth and what her job was: In Greek mythology, Atropos was one of the three Moirae, goddesses of fate and destiny. Her Roman equivalent was Morta. Atropos was the oldest of the Three Fates, and was known as the "inflexible" or "inevitable". It was Atropos who chose the mechanism of death and ended the life of each mortal by cutting their thread with her "abhorred shears". She worked along with her two sisters, Clotho, who spun the thread, and Lachesis, who measured the length. Maybe it's when the door opens, it's a turning point, and the oversoul decides to pull the physical body because you have completed everything you came to do in this incarnation. That you completed all your contracts. That you did everything you came here to do.

what matter of death for me with using whole sign house system:
4th/7th house ruler Jupiter in Sagittarius and 7th house ruler Neptune in Sagittarius in 4th
in opposition to retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 10th
square 11th house ruler Moon in Pisces in 7th
(T-SQUARE) my death is connected to my t-square

In 2012 SA VENUS which rules my 8th will conjunct my ASC.My 4th house ruler jupiter will also trine venus from my IC Maybe ill give birth then.. IP: Logged |

Better to be quick and over with and you'll probably die in some rare, unusual way too...better that way, going out with a BANG as opposed to it being long, torturous and prolonged :PMann, i got no idea why i'm so comfortable talking about something as morbid as death as though it was something trivial like the weather. It's my chart ruler. I am a taurus AC.
What should I watch out for...? It's getting in orb to conjunct my natal sun. Leo rules my 5th house and my sun is in the 10th conjunct my MC. It will touch off a host of other natal sun aspects. My sun is very aspected by trine and sextile. No squares or oppostions, but one conjunction to the MC.
In the progressed, it was actually very active up until recently. It was part of a grand trine with p.moon, p. pluto. It is now sextiling neptune. So, it's pretty inactive in the progressed now. It was conjunct my natal MC, but is moving away now.

Hmm, VIG, I hope you are wrong about Atropos, at least in the sense that it will announce death invariably.I am having SA Atropos exact squaring my Sun as we speak. pr Atropos will be conjunct my chartruler Jupier and squaring my NN in 2015. Oh, and it is widely conjunct my Moon natally (2,5 degrees).
Can it relate to a psychological death, too?
EDIT:
Well, Leonardo Di Caprio had pr Atropos squaring his Sun during the last year. Didn`t his grandmother die last year?
I also noticed, that my Mum had exact conjunction of pr Sun and pr Atropos, when her mother died.
