Everything about this guy has always given me the creeps. He seems like a pompous a-hole too.

Also, i think he looks like my aunt (she's a lesbian).

I rarely do Leaping. lol.

Really T? Really???? OMG, you stabeth me in the heart on Valentines Day? I thought you and I had a thing going on? LOL.

I have Mars in Libra, guess that's the appeal, and my Moon is there too. But, seriously nobody should wear a mankini, I can't believe that was ever marketed.

*He does say some odd ball stuff though. I was watching his recent Storytellers on Vh1, and he was discussing his song "Daughters." Anyway, he is going on and on about the fact that he wrote the song about a girl who could never love him because her Dad didn't love her, yada yada, and then he pops off with, "or maybe I wrote it because someday I will kill my daughter." I was like, "huh???"

It's on youtube.

I could write a novel on John Mayer's chart, even without knowing what time he was born. Also, what's happening to him and what he did.

There was nothing very strong or tight happening in the transits so I checked the transits and Solar Arcs to his Midpoints and BOOM!

Transiting Pluto=Mars/Neptune – "Apparently irresponsible attitude; selfish pursuit of one’s objectives; devil-may-care attitude."

That's the one that got him into trouble and looking at the key words such as "selfish" and "irresponsible" and "devil-may-care" are things that he admitted to in his apology on stage in Nashville on February 11th.

Transiting Saturn=Mars/Neptune – "Being taken advantage of; reticence; the sense of futility; persevering in spite of fear."

That's what he was experiencing and also admitted to in his apology that he thought he was being persecuted in the press, even though it wasn't really happening at the time. And now he is definitely persevering in spite of fear.

Transiting Pluto=Saturn/Uranus – "tremendous fear of loss; upheaval to protect assets; rebellion."

I think that one obviously explains itself right now.

Solar Arc Mars=Saturn – "The clash of hot and cold, action and control; stalemate."

This one is the one that scares me, because even more than the explaination above, it can suggest violence, broken bones, and brutality. Whether at the hands of himself or others, it just suggests a very difficult time.

Whenever John Mayer goes into his D-bag mode by saying offensive things, it's usually been about relationships. His Libra Sun-Mercury conjunction SPEAKS VOLUMES to the point where even HE knows it's a problem and he's talked about it many times before. He has great difficulty balancing his communications and that's what Libra is all about - balance, relationships and social issues which encompasses all three issues he mashed up into an inappropriate ball and spit out at that interview.

His Sun-Mercury conjunction might be a good example of Mercury Cazimi that people talk about so much. Mercury being very close to the Sun burns Mercury, perhaps giving it too much strength or sapping it's strength or causing it to careen out of control. John Mayer is very aware of this. If you've never heard his song "My Stupid Mouth" check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSEYOpI985s

What I love about the lyrics is when he says, "Another SOCIAL casualty." THat's exactly what he's got going on right now but on an Atomic Bomb level. So he's got a not so happy history with this problem.

There is no denying that he is HIGHLY intelligent but he loses his ability to be WISE much to much of the time. But if he TRULY realizes THE NATURE OF HIS TRANSGRESSIONS this time and apologizes for all of them, we will definitely see a different John Mayer from now on.

I am one of his African American/Black female fans who was highly offended by his remark. I am/was (who knows) a HUUUUUGE fan. I'm also a musician who knows that despite his behavior that his musicianship is top notch, no matter what anyone says or thinks and I'm sensitive enough to say that as a fan, I need to hear that he truly understands the things he said. I actually really want him to spin his way out of this intelligently because I trusted his intelligence in his music, lyrics and in his more mature moments of conversation or correspondence.

But it doesn't look good, especially now that Holly Robinson-Peete has rejected his apology because he only addressed his regret that she was dragged into the media storm, he did not apologize for the rest of what he said. That leads me to believe that he doesn't understand the nature of his transgressions and this doesn't look good for him. There are many videos on YouTube showing his apology that night of February 11th, but only a handful show his 2 black female backup singers crying as he is making the apology. They had to stand there and represent him, despite the fact that his words in the article suggested that black women are worthless.

Oh what a tangled web he has woven by "trying to be clever" Mercury rules clever.

One last thing, he has a wide orb QUINDECILE between his Chiron and Mercury. I've been wondering if that may be his problem with communication and anxiety and panic attacks through out his life. Even if that's not the culprit, I found that in his Solar Arc chart for Febuary 11th he had this:

Solar Arc Chiron=Mercury - by Sesquiquadrate which is more than valid when using Solar Arcs. It would suggest a wounding of communications or nerves or whatever Mercury rules.

Yeah, Dude's chart is screaming psychological development at high volume.

Thanks, Glaucus!

I'm so glad you responded, and I'm so glad that it came across with clarity. I'm experiencing Transiting Saturn RX moving back toward an opposition with my Mercury, I was hoping it wouldn't block me, instead it gave me clarity. Oops! That's a John Mayer song. LOOOOOL! I love the song, but not loving him right now.

At least I know the music comes from God, that's how I'm dealing with this situation.

Yes, I'm loving his new CD, also. I just won't be giving him any money for it.

"Hello, LimeWire? Yes, I'll download the John Mayer CD for free, please. Thank you."

My fave is 'slow dancing in a burning room' describes my love life to a T.

I was very impressed by your insights too, Geo, you have a way with words that make things very understandable, and I never feel like you are talking over my head. You are a great communicator.

I have built in sh it detectors and as soon as I saw this kid and heard his sh itty music I instantly put him in the not important file and burned the not important file so I forgot about him. I guess a few of the more dense human beings were persuaded by his mickey mouse charm and didn't really care about how plastic the music was. I guess his 15 minute alarm clock just went off and thats why I noticed him again.

No need to dry your t-shirt, Gypsee. I'm sure that John would prefer it on wet.

Hi Geocosmic,
That is one of the most clear and educative midpoint transit analysis I have read in quite sometime.

Let me reveal a secret about John Mayer that very few astrologers know. He belongs to the "1977 Club". My batchmates. I want to call us "Chironites", we were born in the year Chiron was discovered.

Notice that the fewest succesful men as a percentage who appear in media, will be born 1977.

Search all celeb databases you want.

We have a confused John Mayer. A hopeless John Gosselin. An injury prone Andrew Flintoff. A seriously injury prone Orlando Bloom. Only Brock Lesnar and John Cena have achieved something worthwhile, and Lesnar nearly lost it when he dumped WWE for trying out NFL, a typical 1977er decision.

There are no Federers, no Mcenroes, no Stallones, no Bonos no Obamas no Bill Gates types from 1977. This whole 1977 batch is meant to focus on occult teaching and healing, but being in denial of this leads to an obsure life for almost all of them, and a fame in shambles for the few who achieve something. Think about this the next time you meet a man born 1977.

Saturn in Leo was magnified the most in the year of Chiron's discovery.

My best friend's older sister graduated the same year in high school as him. Apparently, he sat alone at lunch, played his guitar, and didn't really socialize much with people. He was guarded with a lot of sarcastic remarks actually. Also, I work A&R with Universal Music Group now, and a few at the office tell me that he's a great guy - fantastic musician - but you hate to love him because he's very arrogant. Confident and very intelligent, but cocky as hell. *shrug* or so I hear around. If I ever meet him, I'll tell you guys my assessments lol. Also, he hasn't gotten any for a long time if you read his recent interviews and tweets on Twitter.

Show business is nonsense anyways...

I just read the interview. Total Douche!!! OMG, I am so disappointed because I really liked him. I've even defended him on LL before, but that racist cr@p he spewed in that interview is the type of stuff that makes me (in real relationships) never talk to people again.

Ugh!!

I'm off to unfollow him on twitter as we speak, and I am never supporting him as a musician until I am convinced that he has seen the error of his ways. How I will ever see that is a mystery.

Ugh!!

edit: maybe I'll calm down as I have just read it.
