Off the bat, what is a progressive chart, and how do we know when it will take it's effect upon us? I recently checked mine, for the first time, and noticed that in my progressed chart I am a Libra Sun with a Sagittarius ASC and Cancer Moon. I am none of those things in my natal chart. Can you explain how and when this will come into effect in my life?

I guess that the progressed chart shows our progressive evolution. It is calculated by each year we pass representing a day passed since birthday, so that for example if you have 20 years old, then your progressed chart would be the chart of 20 days after your birthday.
I guess that you can use this chart to check for the current trends of your life. One of the things I've noticed is hat a change of AC or MC in these charts can show major changes in life/career.
Also, you can compare the progressed charts of two people to check for the current attractions.
