What do you make of this Gemini chap:

Gemini Sun with Libra Asc.
Capricorn Moon
Mercury in Gemini
(Mercury Square Jupiter/Saturn, opposite Neptune and trine Pluto).
Venus in Gemini
Mars in Taurus

I need either some advice or some warning, if you get my drift. I usually stay clear of Gemini men as far as dating wise, but they make great friends, my Venus is conjunct this person's Mercury, so we both have Gemini Venus.

Hmmm, I'll take a stab at it.

Let's see, very friendly and sociable. Likes to go out and about.
Serious in love though, may be slow to committ, but once committed is very devoted.
Talks very fast, probably uses alot of hand gestures as well.
May have some superficial romances with more then one partner, like a friends with benefits situation, or maybe an ex that pops up now and again.
Possibly gets him/herself into trouble with the things they say, I think maybe they say things which are off the wall. They may be a bit morbid, and in essence only joking, but it doesn't come across that way.
Has a slow and steady way of walking. Probably a bit of a workaholic.

most guys I've known who have hard aspects between mars and pluto tend to be sex addicts (womanizers). He has the quincunx so I don't know. But like all the guys I've met w the square, opposition, or conjunct have had these tendencies. (not exes) but co workers and such who love to tell me their stories of conquest.

mercurian ^ I agree for the square and opposition. I've met both and they fit your description. The conjunction is very different. I knew a guy who had this in Scorpio - I much *prefer* the conjunction - personally.

The quincunx is a small aspect though.. There may be some tension, but I wouldn't think it would come close to the opposition or the square.

Dear Vertiver
Jon Bon Jovi has a Pisces Sun and a Cap moon. He is the head of the Bon Jovi empire and seems to manage it with great skill. If you see him interviewed, he is very grounded despite all the fame and hero worship which would have corrupted most people. He has been married to the same woman for over 20 years, too.
It is like he has a slice of practical, grounded earth amidst the sensitive Pisces water.
My guitar teacher is the same way.He is a sensitive musician but has that very grounded earth sense cuz of the Cap moon ,I think. Ami

PS Does this man have an unaspected Venus in Gemini?
If so, it takes a long time to trust.

Plenty is positive in the chart.
Let me highlight one Red Flag:

Neptune exact opposition to Mercury, which with a Libra Ascendant, Gemini Sun and Retrogade Saturn in 12th can lead to lying and deceit, especially due to sex. Pluto exact quincunx Mars in Taurus, this can lead to emotional stress from mental obsession with sex. He might have a sudden fling to relieve this stress and lie about it.

I am not insisting that he is certain to do this, or that all other men are saints but chances are higher than average.

Thanks for all the feedback. Especially the redflag, IQ.

I know that he has been married which weirds me out a bit, just because it heightens the age gap between us, but I think this Gemini with Gemini Venus might get a taste of his own medicine with a fellow Gemini Venus opposite Saturn/Uranus and his Venus is opposite my Asc. (14 Sag.)

I've never been interested in someone with so little fire in their chart, and the Libra Asc. people that I do know happen to be sex addicts, granted they are both Leo Suns with Leo Moon, but I've noticed that Libra Asc. sometimes is very prone to self gratification.

At least this person has Capricorn Moon to ground all that air and its well aspected, but what about that unaspected Venus?

I am learning about unaspected venus's on the other threads.
I can tell you what it FEELS like. You feel very aloof. You need a special person to touch you in such a way that you start to have deep feelings which break through the aloofness.
Do YOU aspect his Venus?
For me, someone does and that is a very crucial thing with an unaspected Venus.
I think the unaspected Venus will not really bond without it.
I thought I had bonded before and I DID in an outer sense but my heart was still aloof.
Ami

PS Look on my thread---"Someday My Prince Will" Come cuz we are discussing the Venus's

Ami Ann, I read your post and I couldn't help but noticing that Diandra's advice is a bit generalized in reference to Gemini Venus.

I can personally back this up by the fact that like yourself, I have Gemini Venus in the 7th house and it is only aspected by two planets - Saturn and Uranus, and to add to this conflicting combo is the fact that Saturn and Uranus are both retrograde. If we use wide orbs in consideration of my natal Venus, it is technically trine my Moon and opposite my Asc.

I either want a relationship when I feel alone and then when I've liberated myself from my past loneliness I meet someone, I want to commit but they somehow disappear, I guess you could say my relationships have been very short lived and there seems to be a conflict between being friends and lovers.

So my point is to look at your Mercury, its aspects and where it is located, that will really explain how the mercurial energies work with your Venus.

For instance just looking at my Venus and its aspects you think I would have a rather detached approach to love and my general tastes but looking natal Mercury, it is in the 8th house in Leo and trine Mars, sextile Jupiter and square Pluto, all this explains more of how I elaborate my affections for someone. I am very generous and have a tendency to be more intense than I intend to be due to the plutonian energy and I end up getting very close to the ones I like very fast and then it ends... Hopefully this phase of unfulfilled love will pass soon.

I have a LIBRA ASC at 12'47
MERCURY in GEMINI 19'3 in the 9th
and VENUS in GEMINI 14'22 in the 9th as well!!!!

Crazy.

What I look for is sophistication, intellgence, virtue. Anything related to higher education etc... professors are a complete turn on. Makes me weak in the knees when I have a good looking teacher.

No brains, no luck with me.

Oh and good looking, smart foreigners are a really big turn on as well. Makes me tremble with excitement. Like the Doctor type; their air of authority is soooo hotttt!!!

For me, what they said about my Venus is true.My Mercury is well aspected but my Venus has been unattached since my Grandmother died.
It is very strange to feel my cold Venus warming up. It is like I am getting my life force back.
They say my moon needs help ,too, but I will tackle that another day lol.

Well nothing is set in stone, Ami Ann, and if your Mercury is well aspected, then you haven't anything to worry about. I do aspect this persons Venus though, it is opposite my Ascendant.

That is reassuring, Nine.

Not that I really will judge him if he is or not, I think others were referring the sex addiction to Mars quincunx Pluto, but this person seems more in tune with the spiritual side of Pluto than the sexual side, but who knows, anyone I like I tend to immediately put on a pedestal, good ol' Pisces Moon!
