Venus and Jupiter aspects between two people can make them very comfortable and fun with each other. I think that conjunctions, trines, quincunxes, and sextiles may make them more prone to romance, whereas squares and oppositions (which I think I see in your synastry) may make them 'just friends'.IP: Logged |

..And I want to add that the Venus person may be the one who feels the love more, as the Jupiter person makes them feel good.IP: Logged |

Hard aspects are needed in romance to get the "juice" going. I think everyone can attest to having very difficult yet passionate romantic relationships with lots of squares in the synastry.IP: Logged |

nodsand oppositions aren't necessarily bad they correlate with Libra and the 7th house. especially if they are Venus and Ascendant oppositions. I wouldn't want opposition involving Saturn,Uranus,Neptune, and the transneptunians though. Raymond

I think you need to take a look at the house overlays. You've got MOST of your planets in his receptive houses-- the influence you're having on him is heavy with feelings of security, dependency, and emotional neediness.

Interesting how you say SHE tries to control HIM when she is Venus and he is Pluto-- it's normally the other way around. And not to hurt your feelings, but their connection seems deep. Just looking at their house overlays alone... i mean, her Venus EXACT conjunct his ASC... Plus many other things. There are definitely some issues, don't get me wrong (Neptune opp Moon!), but that doesn't mean there isn't love there. IP: Logged |

One hard aspect might be okay, but any more than that and the relationship becomes a Drama-Rama. And those get emotionally exhausting after a while. Passion comes and goes, but once the fires burn out, there is usually nothing left. This is where the easy-going trines, which are needed for friendship and true compatibity, comes in handy. I think it depends on which planets are making those hard aspects. For example a Venus-Mars-square will be very different from a Moon-Saturn square. Even though I agree, the Venus-Mars square could maybe lead to a "war of roses" after the initial passionate attraction has burnt out (and the energy may be expressed in different, not so nice ways). But it also depends on the natal charts involved. There are some people who want and need the Drama and intensity in their lives. The question is: when is it too much? IP: Logged |

Yes but you said that hard aspects = one sided attraction. That isn't true in most cases. Squares and oppositions can create magnetic attractions. I agree with Meta that it's obvious in the house overlays. IP: Logged |

lol I never said that. Maybe you're confusing me with someone else? All I basically said was that when someone's Jupiter opposes someone else's Venus (like it does with raspberri here) they may be friends rather than lovers, with the venus person feeling it more. But that's because of the energies of the planets involved, in this case Venus and Jupiter who are both benevolent planets. The results of oppositions involving other planets depend greatly on the energy of the planets involved. An opposition involving, say, sun and mars, or even worse pluto and mars, would NOT be a sign of friendship or love. And if I saw that I had a mars opposite or square pluto synastry aspect with some potential lover, I would RUN. :P IP: Logged |

Once upon a time I fell hard for someone whose pVenus @ 17 Virgo conj. my Asc. I've had many brief attractions with pVenus conjunct pMars, all with waning aspects.

I think it depends on what else is going on in the chart. I have my boyfriend's Venus/Mars conjunction squaring my Pluto by 1 degree but we have trines and sextiles other than that. It's a very good relationship, and I think if there wasn't that Pluto square, we wouldn't have sex lol. Now, my ex, on the other hand, had Venus square my Pluto and his Mars opposing my Pluto. We didn't have a lot of trines, and his Saturn was exactly on my Mars. I pretty much hate him. IP: Logged |
