There are endless combinations of interpreting the same chart. Geo-centric v Helio-centric, Natal vs Progressed, Composite vs Davison vs Synastry. It is very daunting... IP: Logged |

Just begin with tropical natals until you really understandf that. Then check progressed, then solar arcs. Then move onto the other versions.

Hey thanks Diana,I understand what you are saying; I guess I am getting rather restless. Sometimes, we tend to crave for information with little patience. That is my current plight IP: Logged |

Hey, I started with only the sun signs... when I was only in primary school.I only started with Natal Charts too, when I was 14. Gradually worked my way up from Sun signs to personal planets, to generational planets, to the rising sign and the houses, then to a combination of all of them. Then a bit of transits too. I tried horary astrology once or twice but that is HARD to do! You basically have to forget all you know about natal astrology to be able to read a horary chart. And let's not even talk about planetary return charts, progressed charts, synastry charts, composite charts (although a composite chart is pretty much the same as a natal chart, you only have to remember it's a couple - or group - represented here and not one person)... the Composite vs. Davison is just the type of calculation you prefer most. I pretty much stuck with natal, synastry, composite and transit astrology since because of what I believe. I believe everyone evolves in their own tempo, which leaves any kind of progressed chart out because they all evolve at the same speed for everyone. Because I believe that everything we need to practice astrology is within our solar system, I can't really follow any astrology which is based on anything outside of it. So that leaves any kind of sidereal astrology out. I just pick what works for me and learn it. Most Astrologers do, if they wanted to learn everything they wouldn't have enough with 50 lifetimes! Not to mention the confusion because some practices of astrology contradict each other greatly! ------------------ Official Conor's Feeding Machine! IP: Logged |
