I have limited Astrological knowledge but I could take a stab at a few things. If I am wrong, I stand corrected.Moon square Mercury is a sense that your emotions and your thoughts seem disconnected. IOW, it is hard for you to take an emotion and translate what it feels like in to words.
Moon square Ascendent can be similar in that you find it hard to connect with your emotions. They can seem lost to you like a foreign land inside you.Your Ascendent funnels information with the lens of that sign and reflects that sign from you out to others. What is your Ascendent?
Moon square Sun would strengthen the sense of disconnection from your emotions cuz the Sun is your basic essence and the moon is your emotions. The Square is a lack of coordination or a working together of these two essential parts of you
