Hi Taurus I had a similar thing. I thought I had a Libra ascendent BUT I never fit my chart. I thought I was a failure cuz I had an upbeat cheerleader chart and I was a deep, soul searcher lol. When I had my chart done, they would see me in a way that never felt true. I felt estranged from myself. When an experienced astrologer who also cared about me found my Ascendent, my whole chart fit. I had it done last week and just cried cuz now I can go forward with the real me,now. My answer to your question is to try to look within . Think about Taurus and Gemini. Which fits you better? Which feels more like home? Of course, you will need a professional to help you but when you hit the right one, you will know. Also, the houses and planets in the houses will change and that is a big shift ,too.I have an 8th house Stellium in Gemini rather than a 9th house. This fits cuz I feel more of an eighth house person than a ninth house one. Good Luck with it. I think you will be rewarded in the end . AmiPS Every day I see more and more that I have the right Ascendent. My Venus went in to the 7th house. That feels like one of the most "right" things in my chart cuz I have always felt comfortable with my Venus,if that makes sense. It has felt like a comfortable energy inside me. It is in the 7th house with Libra on the cusp, it's ruler and in it' own house--the 7th. When you find your right Ascendent, things like that will fit. IP: Logged |

HiThe only way to figure it out is to input your place of birth and exact time. If you don't know the exact time you can rectify your chart by trying a few variations based around the times you suspect you were born. See which chart 'fits' you better. Which one do you identify with more? If you were born with Taurus Asc. remember it will naturally progress into Gemini anyway. And if you Asc degree is toward the end of the sign then you will progress to a Gemini Asc very early on. When this happens (during childhood), which are very formative years, we tend to adopt many of the traits of the pogressed sign. So you may well be more like a Gemini Rising anyway. namaste Johnny IP: Logged |

Gemini ascendant generally has a hairline that looks like count dracula.Face bones are more prominant especially around the jaw line. IP: Logged |

When he saw my pix, he thought I was not a Libra Ascendent but a Scorpio. There is a website where they show famous people and tell their Ascendents. I could see that the Libra Ascendents were too "cute" for me--perky type of cute LOL. AmiIP: Logged |

The only good way to do it is look at Solar Arcs/Progressions. You have to pick 3-5 major life events (marriage, divorce, birth, surgeries/illnesses, etc) and then play around to see which solar arcs fit those events the best. Which is why it's good to get it done by a professional. You can't rely on the looks descriptions alone because a lot of them are not accurate for today, as in the descriptions are eurocentric. Like, a lot of them say stuff like "blue eyes" or "blonde hair" but there are plenty of black and asian people that have that ascendant and don't have blue eyes or blonde hair.I'm a Gem rising but I don't have a dracula hairline. I don't think you can tell at all by looks. There may be another reason you don't feel like your AC. I've seen this a gazillion times. Most times the person feels like some other sign. If they feel like scorpio, they have planets either in scorpio or the 8th house. Same for every other sign people ID with.

Mercury in the 1st would make you feel very gemini-ish. Mercury's ruler is gemini. IP: Logged |

I know 3 Gemini risings. The thing they all have in common: they never stop talking. Never. My 5 year old son (one of them) opens his eyes in the morning and starts blabbering. This goes on all day until the second he shuts his eyes at night. No breaks, ever. I don't know how he's going to survive in elementary school. If I recall correctly, you have to listen to the teacher every once in a while. I wonder if he's capable of shutting down his own mouth for long enough.Same for a 27 year old Virgo with Gemini rising female I know. She has to take over every conversation, always. But she's witty and interesting, at least. Her stories involve lots of detail and mimicking of other people's mannerisms and accents. She, too, has no "Off" button. Don't know if this is universal to Gem risings, but thought I'd throw it out there in case you can relate to it. IP: Logged |

Dear Taurus When I looked on the website which showed Ascendents, I did not study features--per se--but the general sense of the Ascendent. For example, Libra was sunny, wholesome, kind of cheerleader--rah-rah. Scorpio was intense and more exotic.Scorpios look like if you messed with them they would get you .Al Pacino was a Scorpio Ascendent--nuf said-- lol. Scorpios looked like they could discuss deep things in to the night while Libras would want to be lighter. Try looking at it in a more global way. If you do, get back and tell me what you think. [sorry to disturb you amy again but can you give me the link when you saw those asc/]You are not bothering me at all but I don't remember the site. Search for how astrological Ascendents look or something similar. Ami IP: Logged |

I'm a Gem rising I think there's a big difference between Gem rising and Tauras rising in terms of appearanceAccording to my informal research, the appearance of Gem rising would be : (only applied to female) (1)with big and clever eyes; looks cute and a little bit naughty, much younger than the actual age OR (2)eyes,nose and mouth are all not big; looks delicate and comfortable, not beautiful in the typical and traditional sense IP: Logged |
