For instance, my brother has Uranus conjunct his 1st house and he has a thing about changing his hair constantly. So Uranus on the Asc is going to like change (probably) as far as appearance.

I have Mars conjunct the 1st and despite all that 'Taurus rising tends to move slowly' slowly stuff, I actually tend to move quickly, with a quick determined walk. Mars asc sometimes has a scar on the face or head - often it's from birth trauma (I was delivered by forceps). Noses are rarely small and perky. They are prominent. Usually facial bone structure is with Mars on the rise, I've seen.

Neptune on the asc would probably make you blend in well if you wanted, standing out whenever you choose. Most Neptune asc people have something kinda dreamy/luminous around the eyes.

reasons i think this? it is evident in my chart. here are some examples..

first house ruler: Pluto. placement, conjunct ASC. I've gone through extreme appearance changes all my life. there is an "intense" serious, p*ssed off look on my face when i'm not smiling (even when i'm content).

aspects to Pluto: trine Eros (0), trine Jupiter (8), sextile Sun (2) and Neptune (4). I have a sexual appearance..not overtly but I do like to put some out there. guys tell me i "look like i like sex". that's the Eros thing i think. Jupiter has helped me in my many weight changes in life...i was at two different times very overweight. not sure how the Sun and Neptune work here..they're both in Cap so i'm guessing it makes me look more goatlike

in the 1st house: Venus. i do have a feminine quality in my appearance. since my Venus and ASC are Scorpio it's more of a dark look but still feminine. i love makeup, doing my hair, putting time into looking nice. i think this placement helps cut back on the Pluto thing. i would scare people off if it didn't.

Moon: Sagittarius. i think the moon shows through the eyes. i have noticed similarities between my eyes and other Sagittarian Moon eyes.

Sun: Capricorn. this may add to a stern appearance. i have good posture and tend to walk tall with my head held high. i think this is Cap talking.

see, so it all works out for me in my chart..i am willing to bet it does for many others, too.

it doesn't have to be only conjunctions nor only planets

for example

I have Virgo Ascendant...yeah..I look younger than my age.
My Mercury sextile Ascendant with 47 minutes of arc in Right Ascension...that could be it too

I have asteroids, Brown in 13'46 Gemini R and Larry in 13'36 Gemini R square my Ascendant/Descendant
and my skin color is light brown/dark tan (actually have significant yellow tones...I was born with pale yellow skin that got darker) because I am part black from my father who had medium brown skin (the average skin color of an African American), and his name was Lawrence aka Larry. My mother told me that I look at lot like my father. I have a mixture of his features and the features of Portguese relatives on my maternal grandfather's of my family.

I have asteroid, Niger (Latin for Black)in 13'47 Scorpio sextile/trine my Ascendant, and that could reflect my looking part black.

I have asteroid, Hawaii in 16'10 Virgo in my 1st house conjunct/oppose my Ascendant/Descendant.
I have the dwarf planet,Haumea in 11'17 Virgo in my 12th conjunct my Ascendant (I have Haumea Rising). Haumea is named after the Hawaiian fertility creation goddess.
So I have both Haumea and Hawaii conjunct my Ascendant. My Ascendant is actually conjunct the Hawaii/Haumea midpoint within 1 degree.
I have been mistaken for Hawaiian or some other Polynesian ancestry.
Keep in mind that Hawaii is a state for known for being having many multiracial people. It's where President Obama was born.
As a transneptunian dwarf planet,Haumea conjuncting my Ascendant can indicate nonconformist,otherworldly persona strongly modifying the practical,grounded persona of my Virgo Ascendant. It adds a femininity to my Virgo Ascendant too.

My Sumeria (as in Sumer,Sumerian) in 13'48 Cancer sextile/trine my Ascendant/Descendant. Maybe I look Sumerian.

My Mesopotamia in 11'35 Sagittarius which is in my 4th (family,roots,mother)conjuncts my oppose my Midheaven/Imum Coeli in 11'14 Gemini/Saggittarius is square my Ascendant. Maybe I look Mesopotamian.

according to mitochondria DNA testing which tests my maternal line, my mitochondria haplogroup is J (my ancestor is Jasmine)and my subclade is J1c which means that I not only Middle Eastern roots (haplogroup J originated in the Middle East and is 2nd most common haplogroup in Europe), but very possibly Ashkenazi Jew ancestry. I found a person with the same genetic mutations as me,and he told me that most of his matches have Jewish surnames,and they are mainly in Eastern Europe. Yes..he is of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. It's very possible that I am actually the descendant of Sumerians and Mesopotamians on my maternal grandmother's side.

some believe that Abraham,the ancestral father of the Jews, father of Isaac,grandfather of Israel(originally Jacob) (originally Abram) was born in Ur, and that it was located in Sumer in Mesopotamia.

also I have Galahad in 13'17 Gemini square my Ascendant. In Arthurian Legend, Galahad was the illegitimate son of Lancelot and Elaine, who was raised by nuns, achieved the Holy Grail because he was the perfect knight. He was a virgin too.
So Galahad square my Ascendant could fine-tune the virginal appearance of my Virgo Ascendant. I also grew up with a strong interest in Arthurian Legends.

also I have Astraea in 12'11 Sagittarius in 4th house oppose/conjunct my Midheaven/Imum Coeli and squares my Ascendant/Descendant axis. Astraea was Greek Goddess of Justice. She was a virgin goddess. It is said that Virgo Constellation signified her.
Astraea square my Ascendant could also finetune the virginal appearance of my Virgo Ascendant

I have Atlantis in 12'18 Sagittarius in 4th oppose/conjunct my Midheaven/Imum Coeli and square my Ascendant/Descendant.

maybe I have Atlantean roots/appearance. I don't know. I don't know what an Atlantean looks like. There isn't any strong scientific proof for Atlantis yet. I guess with Atlantis associated with New Age, I come off as strange to others in my appearance..especially with my Haumea square it.

but my Atlantis-Mesopotamia conjunction in 4th oppose/conjunct Midheaven/Coeli makes me wonder if Atlanteans are connected to Mesopotamians in some way or maybe I am a descendant of Atlanteans and Mesopotamians that mixed with each other. Who knows....

I befriended a young woman at Reno Psychic Fair October of last year. She is on my facebook.

She has soft,demure,sweet,otherworldly look to her. She is that way too.

It turned out that she has Neptune trine Sedna-Ascendant conjunction.

She also looked like she was of half European and half Asian ancestry. I didn't want to assume. She looked like she could be Eastern European. I told her about my impression of her. She turns out to have a mother of Asian ancestry and a father of European ancestry. I was right about her.

I grew up with half Japanese stepsisters. I have half Filipino maternal 1st cousin.

Then again, could half your chart in a fire sign give you fiery hair? Just being random here.

It would be a nice touch, though.

Steel blue eyes, which I still don't know where they come from except for the obvious being my father. High forehead, I blame it on Mercury conjunct rising. Don't know what I can blame on my Uranus conjunct Mercury/rising, but I'll find something. Then there's the moon and Chiron opposing the lot around my rising... How do they fit in?

And then my rising's ruler, Jupiter, standing all alone in Capricorn. Well, Mars is in Capricorn too, but Jupiter has no major aspects. They're in 2. So does that mean that my appearance isn't in proportion with the actual anatomical measurements of my body?

Anyway, I'm interested to find what you guys make of it. Stats: Rising in Sagittarius conjunct Mercury (1st) and Uranus (1st). All opposite moon (7th) in Gemini and Chiron (7th) also in Gemini. Just to state the obvious. Rising's ruler Jupiter in 2nd Capricorn (2nd cusp is in Capricorn too) and no aspects.

• Sun's dispositor
  
• A planet in the 5th trine the ASC: it's as strong an influence as a planet conjunct the ASC
  
• If you have 3 or more planets in one sign, that sign should be strong enough to color both your personality and physicality, especially if they're all conjunct in a stellium
  
• Any planet conjunct the ruler of Sun/Moon/ASC
  
• Keep in mind any planet that is angular no matter the cusp, a planet conj the IC will still register
  

I see these as being strongest. If you have a sign or 2 that dominates from the list above that/those sign(s) should stand out in appearance. Most charts will have 2 or 3 that stand out. And the energies are interchangeable, so if you see someone with 1. Venus rising 2. Libra Moon 3. Jupiter in Taurus in H5 trine the ASC, you'll find the person embodies a lot of Venusian/Libran/Taurus energy. Those could all be seen as the same in essence as Venus is the ruler of Libra and Taurus so they can all be grouped together.

This last bit is my experience only, that it's common to see 3 certain dynamics merged together in charts,

1.
Sun/Leo, Neptune/Pisces, Jupiter/Sagittarius (Mercury's Gemini and Venus's Libra here, too, sometimes)
= creative, big-picture types, that can get lost if not enthused about a new project, they're going to have the more expressive features, eyes that are further apart, broader cheekbones, etc. They're quite artistic and philosophical and caring, enthusiastic, emotive. Mostly, they want people to get along. They want everyone to find their place in the sun and get a strong dose of what it means to be a vital being. They tend not to be about cutting others down and wish for everyone to act with dignity and with good deeds/intention. The optimists.

2.
Venus/Taurus/Libra, Moon/Cancer, Mars/Aries, (Pluto/Scorpio)
= Big on gender identity. They're concerned about day to day present issues, their concern tends to be them and theirs, and they'll protect very strongly, they want to make whatever environment youre in the best they possibly can because what matters is "getting together" as a family or more generically merging into a romantic union, they're going to have the fuller lips, the more languid expressions, round faces, they'll be more stubborn than the above group, and incredibly protective. They are the ones to rest your shoulder on and they want to talk all about what happened. Nice curvy/inviting physiques, mostly. But all of them will stand out as being very feminine or very masculine, not much in between. The funny thing is that even if, say, it's a woman who comes across very masculine, it's only perception to the person who's not attracted to her, the one who is will think she's the most feminine he's ever met. That's what I mean for this group, no matter the gender they are seen as one or the other, nothing else, as this group seeks to align itself strongly and to see themselves strongly in terms of how feminine or masculine they feel on a given day, and the same person could completely change the tides from one day to the next. The realists.

They are mixed Portuguese,Spanish,Puerto Rican

My Uncle Dino and Aunt Isabel have Sagittarius Ascendant, and they have light brown/dark tan complexion and brown hair
my Uncle Dino is 5'8 and Aunt Isabel is 5'3.
Uncle Dino has curly hair, and Aunt Isabel has straight hair.
My mom used to compare me to Uncle Dino a lot when I was growing up.

My Aunt Dede has Scorpio Ascendant, and she has light brown/dark tan complexion and wavy auburn hair. She is 5'3.

My Uncle Eddie has Leo Ascendant, and he has
tan complexion with yellow overtones and curly-wavy brown hair. He is 5'9.
He is the only one that doesn't look he could be part Black. He looks the most Spanish,Portuguese out of all of them.

According to my dad, she was born at a time that would give her a Pisces Asc.

I have a Sco Asc, Neptune tightly semisquare it. (Neptune is also cnj my Sun and trine my Moon.)

So from my one example , Sun, Moon, and Asc work together to sculpt my look.

Besides Neptune aspecting my ASC, I have a Pisces Eros and SN trine my Asc. Maybe a narrow aspect to the ASC brings not just the planet's influence but also that planet's sign.

My Leo Moon forms a tight quintile with my Asc. I think this contributes to my face being so expressive. This can be annoying. Unless I'm deliberately controlling my expressions, they show everything.

I don't have any planets cnj my Asc, but I do have Lust and Angel cnj it. Dirty sweet.

I looked again at my aunt's chart.

~We both have Venus in Cap trine Jupiter in Virgo.
~We both have our Asc ruler and Sun/Moon mp in Libra.
~Our Asc's are trine.
~My SN is cnj her Asc.
~She has Pluto cnj her Moon and trine her Sun; I'm a Scorpio Asc. This is similar to how I have Neptune cnj my Sun and trine my Moon and she's a Pisces Asc.

Very true about the gender identity, not that I've ever had real issues about what gender I've felt on the inside. Its more to do with the fact that I was raised by males and only had my grandmothers, mum and 1 aunty as female role models. Also, my aunty bended those gender rules by divorcing at 19 and never remarrying, instead becoming a world winning bodybuilder and marrying her career as a personal trainer to the UK's A-list. She taught me that girls can be just as strong as boys and that you dont have to rely on a man for anything and that success is yours to take, if you have the balls.

As for myself, being so Venus ruled along with the femininity that comes with Cancer..i guess everyone sees me this delicate little thing that a bit rough around the edges and, as a friend puts it..has bigger balls than most guys (HAHA!) I am a girly girl, i love clothes, makeup, high heels, anything glittery (I was a stripper for 2yrs and that was like playing dress ups for adults lol) but at the same time, i like hanging out with boys more sometimes and like stuff like cars, soccer and p!ss farting around like a guy.

The boys are work include me in their male exclusive conversations, knowing i wont get upset. They even go as far as to say, "pffft dont worry about her, she's one of the guys..dont even consider you a girl"

As for looks, feminine and venusian looking i guess..long blonde hair, full lips i guess (bottom one for sure), dont have a round face, more angular and sharp looking, short but taller than average, thin, body in proportion, long legs and arms, used to be toned haha, always was very muscly (like Madonna) but since i quit dancing and haven't done any active form of activity in 2 yrs, i'm a lot more softer and feminine now.

And i dont align myself with any particular gender. I'm very compassionate about gay/lesbian/transgender issues (despite being considered heterosexual), describe myself as "Straight as a bent arrow". Some days i feel like putting on a nice skirt or dress and feel like looking attractive and other days i feel more comfortable in jeans, sneakers, tee and a hoodie.

I don't know my father's birthtime,and so I don't know his Ascendant. My mother has a Gemini Sun,Scorpio Moon,Cancer Ascendant. She is said to look like a lot like her Aries Sun, Virgo Moon, Taurus Ascendant biological mother except she had light auburn hair and was 5'9. My mother has dark brown hair and is 5'4. My mother looks Italian,Spanish,or Portuguese. She's also been mistook for Mexican. Some Mexicans are very lightskinned due to probably just Spanish ancestry and no Native American ancestry. Most Mexicans are a mixture of Spanish and Native American. Mixed white and native is known as "mestizo".

Her father had an olive complexion with strong yellow tones. He had long trunk,short limbs, very hairy, and he had straight black hair. He looked like he could be an Arab. He also has been mistook for Mexican which annoyed him. He had Cancer Sun,Pisces Moon, Scorpio Ascendant. People in my family have said that I look like him. My mom compared me mainly to her half brother,Dino when I was growing up. He has Scorpio Sun,Cancer Moon,Sagittarius Ascendant.

I really think that's more about ethnic stuff in my case. I can't speak for anybody else.

I do think that ethnic heredity is a factor in how one looks. With multiethnic people like myself, the astrological indicators aren't so cut and dry.

Of course, I don't look like that blue eyed blonde hair lady who has the same Scorpio sunsign,Pisces moonsign,and Virgo rising sign as me.
