I once had an astrologer tell me that if your solar return chart wasn't looking good, that you just had to celebrate your birthday elsewhere and the energy of that year would change. Do you believe this?

If that's true - which one of these years looks "better"?

I been so confused to change SR AC from what ever I been when I have birthday. I've allways birthday in the summer on my holiday. I now always use the place there I been born. I use SR from the place it in start was meant to be.

I read somewhere that changing location isn't that effective because its like your trying to cheat and make things go in a way thats most favourable to you, so its self-defeating. Even though it would change the ASC, house positions and planet positions, you'd still have to go back home and if there are things in your life that need attention, then you gotta address it sooner or later. I dont think changing your SR location would impact on the big things in life.

I use the place, where I live at the moment. It works.

It didn't work twice:

1. Once I was in the first half of Solar in three different places (pretty far away).
2. The second: I was on my birthday in the plane over Atlantic. Maybe I should find some place on the sea (water)?

Any Astrologer telling that to his client is a liar. Solar Return shows also our death: in that case many people would try to run away from the place they live at the moment of SR.

Beside that I am not a millionaire to fly to Rio de Janeiro for my birthday to have a better SR..

Thanks IQ & bonadea33..if it were that easy i'd be going to the sunny sunshine coast in Queensland but it looks like i'll have to spend my SR in my hometown, at the bottom of Australia where its the most cold and depressing in the country at the end of June lol

so what happens then when you can't be in the place that you live - like popcorn or bonadea?

I was actually planning to spend my birthday where I live but then I got called for a meeting overseas (actually in my hometown). If I hadn't known about the solar return change, chances are I would have gone without a second thought.

So is the point that you can change your solar return but shouldn't? Or is it that you can't change/run from the lessons and I should just take the free trip to NY?
