anyone do this, or heard it emphasized particularly? mine is conjunct my eros (within 1 degree), and it's got me thinking..it's in my first house, conjunct my venus (and venus is the mp of my AC and eros). my venus is an aries point. i'm an artist, and even though i don't do explicitly sexual art (except privately), all my art has a very erotic/venusian quality to it. i had never really made that connection until now, or given much thought to it BUT i wonder if the mp of sun and its ruler can give a clue as to how to direct one's energy in life, to be happiest? cuz for me, art has always been my life and the only thing that ever made me truly happy, but i sacrificed it for other things and i just feel in tune with myself and my 'purpose' when i'm doing it. what's yours and does it offer any insight into your life and what makes you happiest? my best guess is that that would be what that midpoint would represent (if i'm not taking too much liberty by putting any stock into it) since sun rules happy leo and its ruler is an added dimension to that aspect of self, and the one we most relate to. of your natal sun. mine sun is aquarius so its ruler is uranus. so i'm taking the midpoint of my uranus (20 scorpio) and my sun (15 aqua) which is 2 capricorn. i guess since my eros and venus conjunct it (both within 3 degs), it's easier for me to see if my theory fits. i'm not sure which aspects apply to midpoints. my guess is only conjunctions and oppositions? maybe squares and trines do too, though. not sure. but still in itself (without any aspects), it might be a significant point, i'm thinkin.IP: Logged |

I think it's an awesome theory in general actually, but my Sun and ruler of it/mp is really not getting aspects. It's a peregrine Sun and remains that way even after (like 27 degrees Virgo for my Sun/Mercury midpoint). The ruler of my Sun is Mercury, my Mercury is in Libra, part of my Libra stellium.Oddly, I connect more to my midheaven in Capricorn. None of the standard Capricorn MC crap is what I am talking about though. I take it to mean other things. Like, I am happiest in a structured environment learning more about what I love. Incidentally, my NN is also in Capricorn, in the 9th. So maybe this has significant bearing too. I love traveling in gene ral. But more importantly, it's that I NEED some kind of structure to pour my creativity into in order to feel happiest, like I am working toward something greater. That Virgo 27 degrees mp just kinda sits there, much like my sun. The ruler of my sun (Mercury) conjunct Pluto. I wonder...maybe midpoints with the midheaven will color things in a little more? Again, I think people associate MC with career. I associate it with life purpose, regardless of whether or not that life purpose IS career. IP: Logged |

Oh, I see, the ruler of the sign in which the sun is positioned. Well mine is the moon so Sun- Moon midpoint is at 29 Leo. It is not an important part of my chart, no planets, no aspects. It conjuncts fixed star Regulus, maybe a need to be important, I don't know.IP: Logged |

Would the midpoint be found in the gap that's the smallest between the two planets? IP: Logged | |
