It was in Taurus for the same amount of time from 2005-2006. Thats what happens during a Retro period. IP: Logged |

Oh really? No wonder I really disliked that time. It was near my saturn, conjunct my AC, and maybe square my sun. It was also quincunx my sag planets. I'm curious, so I am going to look up the degrees to see where it hit. Leo is better for me. It trines everything. But it opposes my sun at certain degrees and squares my saturn at higher degrees, but I'll take the square over the conjunction anytime.

Both times have been majorly irritating for me. Last time it was love issues, this time its certain lazy people at work. Odd, considering its in my 7th house.IP: Logged |

That is odd, but it's the house of others -- not just partners, so it makes a little sense. I wonder where your 7th ruler is and how it's aspected. I looked. It rx'd right on my AC and saturn and quincunxed my stellium. I actually remember that time well, but back then I didn't pay attention to transits because I didn't understand them. I remembered it so well that I was dreading mars in my 1st this past summer, but it wasn't that bad. Probably because I knew what to expect and modified my behavior too. I dislike mars in my 1st a lot. It feels aggressive.
Now it's in my 4th and it's been ok. I think half the battle is knowing what to expect and preparing oneself for it. Aside from that thread earlier, I haven't had any disputes with anyone in my life. I did have someone start with me, but I just let it go. I think a big part of it was being prepared for it to happen, knowing it would happen, but just going with the flow.
I wonder when and where it will rx next. Anyone know? Does it happen every 4-5 years?
ETA: It doesn't usually stay rx this long. I thought I read that but then I wasn't sure. It turns rx again in 2012 in virgo. It only lasts maybe 4 months. It'll be in my 5th house then. IP: Logged |

My seventh house ruler is the moon and it falls in the 8th house, sextiled by pluto, trined by neptune, and sextiled by mercury. I work in a hospital though (a place of healing---falling under 8th house/scorpio/pluto domains) so I guess it kinda makes sense. Though in terms of the love life, I have felt kind of *stuck* and I live in a place where people are more quick to couple up/settle down, therefore I've been grouchier than usual (especially with T-Pluto currently opposing my Juno and Mercury...the ruler of my Venus). Maybe that's the 7th house issue? *shrugs*

Yeah, its never retrograde for 7-8 months. What happens is that it spends a month in the sign, then goes retro for a good 4-5 months, then it goes direct and is practically on speed. IP: Logged |

That makes sense about the 8th house. The frustration of not having a partner is classic mars rx in the 7th. Your ability to take action in that area is stymied. Here's something on mars rx http://www.zodiacarts.com/whatsup/MarsRetro.shtml
This one is current and really good.

Back in 2005 when it went rx was about 2 weeks after I got married to my ex. Mars was going through my 1st house and things seemed kind of quiet. Calm. Maybe too calm lol. I've had Mars rx in my progressed chart for some time now. It's direct in my natal, however. IP: Logged |

quote: October 4, 1994-December 12, 1994 and January 22, 1995-May 25 1995 Mars was in Leo. The second period in 1995, Mars returned to Leo. Mars also spent extra time in Virgo.
It was around this time, that I sold my first painting - I was 19, and I think that Uranus and Neptune were squaring my 6th house Sun, from the third. At the end of that October, we adopted a stray cat and her kittens, that we'd been feeding and given shelter to, in the old house we had a tiny-weeny apartment in. My parents were looking for houses to rent,so that we could move into a decent place before Christmas. At the last minute, they found a real fixer-upper, and we were driving back and forth, between Garrettsville and Cuyahoga Falls, whilst preparing to move in. Throughout the first half of 1995, I suffered through anxiety attacks every single day. I was also still absorbed in art - drawing, painting, and loving every minute of it. I have Leo spanning parts of my 9th and 10th houses, with the cusp of the 10th being at 14*Leo. I'm trying to remember what happened in 2005, when it was in Taurus (my 7th house). IP: Logged |

MVM i would think your natal first house is taurus, or mostly? that would be enough to feel the retrograde especially...how is it for your aqua?(i don't know enough about draconics to hazard a guess about the effects from that!) IP: Logged |

I didn't even think about my Draconic chart, in which I have several planets in Leo. IP: Logged |

Kat, yes it's Taurus 1st house, as is Aqua's as well (so are both of our Mars, but in later degrees). My rising is about 5 degrees. So yeah I guess it would be sq my damn asc in regular chart and conjunct it exactly in draconic, to add insult to injury Not too good for Aqua, we had to put his cat to sleep last week, which was a companion of 17 years. It's been really a hard time for him since kitty had cancer since late November and we were taking care of him nonstop the final month IP: Logged |

My rising is 2 Leo so transiting Mars has been all over it for a while now. I can hardly tell the difference tho as I know 3 people close to me who have their Mars on my ASC too! It's high energy time, esp. being all about FIRE. I'm happy now since my progressed Sun is Aries trining my ASC, feels a lot better.IP: Logged |

I just remembered it actually retro in the beginning degrees of my 8th house, and then it backtracked into my 7th. I have been having issues with my bank.
