When a thread talked about mental health being reflected in Neptune's aspects to the MC, I freaked out and checked my Neptune lol
How does the MC show our mental health or grasp on reality--which probably IS mental health.
Please share any information from friends, family etc.

Thanks so much,

Ami

Neptune-Midheaven can just indicate an extremely sensitive, idealistic, imaginative person in general

most astrologers view the midheaven as career

but cosmobiologists,Hamburg School/Uranian Astrologers view the midheaven as the ego consciousness, the "I",soul. They viewed it as the most important thing in the chart. They looked at transits to the Midheaven when it came to rectifying charts.

Cosmetologist Eleanora Kimmel wrote about the Midheaven having to do with the brain proper

there are so many manifestations of Neptune-Midheaven aspects and all aspects for that matters

There is nothing to freak out

there are no cut and dry indicators for certain things because planets are associated with many things

Like I said before in another thread, the indicators for psychiatric disorders can be the same indicators for neurodivergence because their symptoms/traits overlap. More complicated is there is often co-morbidity (that means co-existing conditions in the same person) between them.

It's always good to consider the whole entire chart and not just focus one or a few aspects.

In Medical Astrology,
hard Neptune aspects can indicate misdiagnoses as well as oversensitivity to drugs/meditations due to being an extremely sensitive person.

A person with hard Neptune aspects can be easily misdiagnosed as having psychiatric disorder. It could be due to their extreme sensitivity which may be looked down upon as a psychiatric disorder. It's not like the psychiatric community recognizes psychic sensitivity either.

Amy, you misunderstood me. I have NOT said that Neptune to MC means "mental health".

I did say that NO one aspect means anything, that the whole chart AND the real life situation must be considered for any conclusion.

The following is from Uranian Astrologer Ruth Brummond's Rulebook on Neptune-Midheaven which can be used for Neptune/Midheaven midpoint

There are numerous possiblities

MC.NE.*
+ intuitive. sensitive. empathic. highly imaginative. tender. mediumistic. daydreams. future-oriented. interested in metaphysical factors. impersonal. objective.
To be prepared for the future. Personal sacrifice. The unknown or unrecognized. My sensitivity. Metaphysical factors and me.
- deluded. unstable. insecure.
overly delicate. easily swayed. elusive. unreliable. vulnerable. needful of protection. weak. prone to feelings of inferiority. unrealistic.
Inward confusion. Personal uncertainty or disillusionment. To refuse to accept something. To deny. To go astray. To be deluded. Deceit.
Personal loss.

I am just a new astrology student so I am trying to piece things together slowly.
I understood what you meant, Sweetie.
