I dunno, it might count, Dragon. I usually wouldn't say Mars alone for sex either - I count mine because it's part of a T-square tho with Venus and Jupiter, so it feels very prominent. However, I have Eros conjunct Venus in my chart, and Eros squares my Midheaven, widely conjunct my Uranus also. So I don't know. I think the theme is similar to my Mars though, which is interesting. IP: Logged |

I wonder about the 8th house as well as the 1st. Wouldn't those 2 houses and their rulers have to do with sex and sexuality in general too? For instance, my own 1st house ruler which is Venus squares my 8th house ruler, Jupiter/Sagittarius, by 0 degrees. Again, it's part of the t-square. I think the 1st house and 8th house rulers should count for something IP: Logged |

LOL @title hahaha It's interesting though because i have eros @4' libra and my sun/mercury/mars is also ruled by venus (taurus) - so it definitely makes sense as to why people see me as so sensual/sexual. hmmm IP: Logged |

Well, you know Kim Falconer swears Eros is a key indicator of it all; of what you want and how you want it. "By studying the placements of Eros by sign, we can better integrate the diverse needs and drives of this body. In an archetypal sense, the signs have a distinct way of relating to both inner and outer experiences and acknowledging those distinctions is a step towards becoming more complete." My Eros is in Aries, conjunct Mars, and the interpretation is pretty accurate. Eros in Aries Eros' forms are many and sometimes terrible, and in full strength he comes to us winged and gleaming and muscled like an athlete, with a fury and will that overpower our own and drive us before him as would a storm. --Peter Marin Eros in Aries says, "Play with me, right here and right now!" In this sign, Eros wants action, competition, confrontation and of course, he wants to win! Eros in Aries can make a game of love complete with points to score and visiting teams to defeat! The more impossible the relationship, the more ardent he becomes. As the first of the FIRE signs, he spends and consumes tremendous amounts of energy in the pursuit and capture of his quarry. All this fiery rabidity makes Eros in Aries a very active and perpetually busy lover. Eros here, whether in the chart of a male or female, can exhibit traditional romantic behavior not unlike a knight of old. He is robust, gallant and ever dashing off to slay dragons or rescue damsels, or helpless men, in distress. Here are the rest of the signs and houses: http://www.falconastrology.com/natal_asteroids.htm

Happy Dragon - personally I think men with Aries influence *anywhere* in their chart will identify a LOT with that particular influence.I've often noticed this.. I attract them being an Aries Sun and I notice them being extra Aries-like - even if it's just Venus or just Mercury - or whatever.. My explanation is that Aries is a highly masculine sign.. and perhaps men relate to these placements more. Or maybe they want these placements to *show* and be -out there- to get female attention. But - it is interesting that your Eros is in Aries.. Maybe it has more of an impact because it is conjunct your Venus. My Eros is in Aquarius and doesn't aspect anything. I can't say I relate to it much. My Mars-Neptune are conjunct Lust in Cappy. I relate more to that. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the link Venus in Gem!I can relate to some things... Eros in Aquarius says, "surprise me, shock me, amazement me!" This position of Eros carries a high voltage charge with stimulating encounters that need a lot of air space to conduct electromagnetic charms. Eros in Aquarius desires the weird, the wonderful and the unusual. He thrives on the unexpected and luxuriates in situations that make the more traditional signs squirm with embarrassment.
Eros in the sign of the Water Bearer has a disposition bordering on the bizarre. He crosses boundaries as if they did not exist and skips the lines of gender and protocol like a child playing hop-scotch. (True! I was unimpressed with their constant use of "he" in these interpretations). If it is unusual and invigorating, he is probably interested. HE - again!!!! ^^^ Hello - women exist also.. The third of the AIR signs, Eros in Aquarius gets bored with routine and needs intriguing conversation and somewhat unconventional themes to keep his interest aroused. He also needs a lot of freedom. The bolded parts suit me most lol

I have Eros in Aries too, Venus in Gemini, and its conjunct asteroid Lust in the 4th house. But I think it definitely helps to look to Psyche as well, it is conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 11th... IP: Logged |

Interesting read, thanks Venus in Gem. I could definitely relate to the Eros in Gemini description:"thrives on the interaction of ideas, and the intellectual stimulation found in sharing observations, data and little understood facts." "uses these intellectual instruments as a bastion against the pain and suffering of the emotional world." "The first of the AIR signs, Eros in Gemini has a sense of mental objectivity and a distinct need for space. Although drawn irrefutably to the depths of intimacy by the nature of Eros itself, in this sign he may at times do more talking or reading about emotional closeness than going out and experiencing it." I had a therapist say years ago my problem was that i intellectualised my emotions lol. I love my books and whenever I'm upset i just start reading through them for hours. I'm a big nerd at heart. And nothing turns me on more than when there's a hot intellectual debate going on and the energies are just flying lol i do get stimulated with sexual energy. Weird. IP: Logged |

aqua eros sag psyche conj mars virgo moon (8H) sag merc arian lilithlibido's average.. ._. whateva i've done is with clothes on. once i lose my virginity, i won't mind hving 1 night stands(if em single & starving). it takes time to work me up & em always unsure if em horny/not... i find the deed really funny. shagging frm behind makes me numb while group x fascinates me... i talk/do bullsh*t out of nervousness...the 1st time i got intimate, i was like "u're my brother!!!"& laughed throughout. nyplace is fine - right now it's pubs. the idea of being dominated appeals 2 me. role play looks childish & disgustng. aggressive men r prefered who won't take a "no" for an answer. i enjoy being tightly squeezed against a man's "bald" chest with his asset rubbing mine & need loads of wet kisses . i luv being nuzzled & nibbled too.... >... Oh man...I just re-read the Eros in Aquarius aspect, and it's my guy. So yes, the Eros in Aries fits me, and the Eros in Aquarius description fits him. It's this very electric connection...I think they do call it "electric sex". Where we just transcend and see the "thousand petal lotus", as they say. I also think that even though my Eros is in Aries, that it's my Uranus in the 8th house that matches with his, "surprise me, shock me, amaze me!" I remember reading somewhere that Uranus in the 8th is the sex from the chandeliers placement. Yup...I am easily bored. IP: Logged |

Eros in Gemini knows all about that lol. But its intellectual wise. You bore me mentally, i'm looking around for something to catch my attention. Even reading the menu is more interesting at that point lol.How about you. What bores you instantly?? I'm interested to know from a NON gemini Eros perspective LOL (u can blame my Eros Gemini for that..intellectual stimulation and reading and learning about interpersonal sex skill-ling instead of being out there doing it hahahaha) IP: Logged |

I've got Eros in Pisces in the 11th Placidus or 10th Whole-Sign house system. It makes a t-square with my Saturn opposite Mercury (unless you insist on using just a one degree orb).Either house description sort of fit. I thought the 10th house description was a bit more apt. With my Mars also in a water sign, I guess I'm going for something deep; deeper than I could probably articulate. IP: Logged |

Just so the Duke knows I do take note of what he says, I checked out where Psyche was on my chart as well as Eros. They are both in the 8th house. He is in Gemini, she is in Cancer. Mars in air signs are meant to like a bit of chat. I have Mars in Aqua, in the 3rd Trine the Sun in Gem. Also Trine Eros in Gem if you care for the asteroids (I don't). I like a bit of crass sexual humour, smutty stories, etc. I've not even got in the bedroom yet, have I? Well, some people are all talk. IP: Logged |

I have eros in 8th in taurus.. I think sex is the most important part of a relationship but i dont experiment with other partners and prefer to sleep with 1 person forever than have to change to other partners. MY 5th house ruler is cap too. Mars in cancer. Theyre both too similiar to compare. IP: Logged |

quote: Eros in Taurus says "Hold me, touch me, kiss me, take me." Here Eros has little interest in the aggressive ardency of Aries. Taurus is not responsive to getting up at 6 a.m. to do fifty laps at the pool and he would rather not have to compete with anyone to get what he wants. Eros has a different orientation in this sign, namely, an orientation towards pleasure. That means pure and natural, undiluted personal and sensual gratification. This pleasure-seeking eye of the bull is ever on the niceties of sensuality whether they be in the dinning room, on the massage table or in a king size bed. He finds joy in tangible pursuits that revolve around making the body feel good as well as the pleasure of acquisition. Taurus can also become ferociously possessive of those pleasures in an extremely dogmatic way.
LOL I thought the part where it says "he would rather not have to compete with anyone to get what he wants" was a trait of my venus in leo.

My Eros is in Pisces(9) but so is my Mars (23) so it's hard to distinguish whether it's my Eros or Mars (or both) playing a role here. Though the descriptions do reflect me pretty well. I like to "melt" into my partner, I'm very adaptable and will try anything and everything ..the "chameleon like" sexual style is very evident in myself and that's how both Eros and Mars in Pisces are described. I feel a LOT of Scorpio energy in my sexuality, too. My Venus is there, as well as my Pluto and ASC..both my Pluto and Venus conjuncting my ASC in the first house. The Scorpio energy I feel makes the sex act intense, strong emotions involved, power play and anything taboo. Again, it's hard to pinpoint just one factor as I believe it's a boiling pot of all these things. However, one of my ex's has both Venus and Mars in Aquarius but his Eros in Pisces. His sexual style was DEFINITELY Piscean...though his emotional nature and attitude about what sex should be were definitely Aquarian (detached..ugh!!) My current boyfriend has Mars in Libra and Eros in Scorpio (conjunct his Venus in Scorp). While he's cheesy romantic (Libra talking!) when he's getting physical he is aggressive, squeezes me tight, focused on me, almost smothering but in the sexiest way ------------------ Capricorn sun :: Sagittarius moon :: Scorpio ASC IP: Logged |

Both my Eros and Mars are in 2nd house Capricorn and I like it nice and simple. Just sex. Just two people. Very traditional. Typical Capricorn. To me that's enough. Not that I ever thought about finding my shagging style in my chart, sex isn't that important to me. I enjoy it, no doubt but it doesn't rule my life like it does most people. And to think I'm a Scorpio sun! ------------------ Official Conor's Feeding Machine! IP: Logged |

I have to add, my boyfriend has Mars in 8th house Gemini and Eros in 1st house Sagittarius with Scorpio rising. Not sure where the influence comes from, but for him sex is important. Good thing I don't mind having it Since he thinks sex is important, I'm more tempted towards saying that Eros is the greater influence, because it is in his 1st house, and I of all people, with 4 planets there myself, should know how a 1st house influences you constantly. But then again, his mars is in the 8th house... Hmm, tough call. ------------------ Official Conor's Feeding Machine! IP: Logged |
