Hi I had a question about this aspect in synastry--When I was younger I met this guy and had a mad crush on him.I am a true-blue Cancer and he was this light-hearted,don't tie me down Gemini. He had that restless Gemini curiosity and was always on the go.I was always more security oriented. So I figured we were basically mismatched. Then later I looked at his astrology chart and our synastry and found out he had a lot of Cancer( Venus/Jupiter conjuncting my Sun/Venus) and Capricorn (Mars and NN)His Sun in Gemini also squares my Pluto in Virgo in the 12th house. This would seem to represent a deeper level of intensity.Another one is his Moon in Taurus in my 8th house--- My Saturn in Capricorn also sits right on his NN in Capricorn in my 4th house. That seems rather heavy, maybe too serious, and might drag him down. But isn't it also a very binding contact? He always struck me as the carefree, somewhat superficial Gemini who got bored very easily and didn't want to stick with anything/anyone for too long, and that I just wasn't his type. This relationship happened when I was a teenager and is in the past, but I always wondered--- IP: Logged |

If that's how you felt and nothing happened between you, then NN contacts don't mean anything. You don't have a binding contact with everyone who has NN to you. Other things need to be present. You also don't know he isn't carefree just because he has cancer placements. He could be very uranian or have aspects that suggest it. And he is a Gemini sun, after all. A lot of people on this site really disregard the sun, which is hugely important.Everyone born around the same time as you will put saturn on his NN.

I've got a Saturn/NN double whammy with my boyfriend (and my Saturn is also on his Vertex to boot). I don't really know...ask me in another year, and if we're still together, I'll tell you if it's 'binding' LOLIt's implied that Saturn binds... is it 'too binding'? I don't know, how good are you with your Saturn? If it's his NN then he's growing into it (I've got Cappy NN as well). If he was a teenager then that would explain his restlessness maybe a little more than his sun sign lol. KNow what I mean ? The Pluto square Sun would be waaaaaaaaaaaaay more intense than the NN stuff, IMO. In fact, to me, that would kind of eclipse some other placements. But if the relationship never got off the ground and was just a crush, I don't really think any of this applies completely because it wasn't a relationship. Astrology isn't going to tell you if a relationship is going to happen and be set in stone or not, imo.

I didn't mean to say nothing happened.Actually a lot happened, all in a short period of time.It wasn't just a crush,we were involved. Maybe part of his 'hesitation' came from the fact that I was 16 and he was 22.At the time I had no idea that was illegal The point is that I mainly saw the Gemini, and didn't see the Capricorn and Cancer influences--there was some Scorpio in there too(Saturn in Scorpio which made some nice trines to my Sun and Venus in Cancer)---these would add a different dimension to your average everyday Gemini. But of course there is no 'average everyday' Gemini! My mother has Sun in Gemini, and she's definitely not a typical Geminibut she has Mercury,Venus,Jupiter,Uranus, and South Lunar Node in Cancer ,and their dispositor Moon and Saturn are in Scorpio and she is extremely emotional, sensitive. She will get upset very easily. The more you try to reason with her, the more irrational and upset she will get until she explodes like emotional meltdown. She has both strong Cancer and Scorpio traits. When I was a skeptic of Astrology and read about the Scorpio mother, I thought that I was reading all about my mother. It was to her a T. Then I went to look in the moonsign tables in the book to see if she was a Scorpio, and I was right. heh Her Sun is in 12th trine Neptune in Libra in 5th, and well...she seems a lot like a Pisces...especially with her past issues with drugs, alcohol, and people taking advantage of her when she helps them. She is highly imaginative. She has Sun sextile/parallel Pluto (Sun-Pluto bilevel),and so she has affinity with Scorpio which is her moonsign. She is very intense, passionate, and somebody not to anger or she will really go off on you.
Her Sun is parallel its dispositor,Mercury. So she has Sun-Mercury double whammy. She has Sun parallel Jupiter, and so affinity with Sun in Sagittarius. She has Sun parallel Venus, and so affinity with Sun in Taurus and Libra. She has Sun parallel Uranus, and so she has affinity with Sun in Aquarius. Her Sun in Gemini could be seen as her restless, bored easily nature, and curious nature. That stuff could be explained by the aforementioned aspects and placement. She wasn't that talkative. She even told me that she was shy about talking because she was afraid to say something stupid.

Aswith most saturn aspects it acts as a kind of glue, but usually more intense as the saturn person is connected with your past or future(nodes) or vice versa.IP: Logged |

Once I read this on cafeastrology; quote: Saturn conjunct the Nodes can be a separative aspect. I am not as yet certain of exactly why this is the case, but I have seen it time and time again where Saturn conjunct the North or South Node in a composite chart or in synastry is present in romantic relationships that don't get off the ground properly.
..and I thought: Wow yes! In my 2 longest 'relationships' (a few years both) I had this aspect. In the 1st; His Saturn conjunct my NN In the 2nd; His Saturn conjunct my SN But... no one else did survive the time I spend with THEM, so ...

I forget how to post a chart here but I have a synastry with a "missed connection" I'm sorta obsessed with. Double whammy NN/Saturn and of course many other wonder and awful aspects lol. Boo. It's been over a month and he hasn't returned to the scene. Guess I should assume it'll never happen. Glad I saw this so I can quit obsessing! Thanks! IP: Logged |

Staph - I see the NN as a point that the person is fascinated by... attracted to... interested in.... but not all that willing to actually 'dive into".. If that makes sense. It's kind of like a person who likes to watch extreme sports on the telly on a Sunday afternoon.. but if they had to actually board a plane and jump out of it (sky diving) - they would probably chicken out. So it's a difficult point for a person to master... When someone has Saturn in this sign - they have in many ways mastered that sign.. The Saturn person is like an experienced sky diver... So this can be a bit intimidating for the NN person. They could learn a lot from Saturn... but they can also feel kind of inadequate.. or like they're not "good enough" for Saturn... This is a double whammy so there are times when maybe you both felt this way with each other.. What signs/houses is this happening in - and what are the orbs? IP: Logged |
