Hi all, Can't seem to find anything online about what effect this would have in synastry so wondered if anyone's experienced it?12th house I would suppose, might make for misunderstandings or hidden depths perhaps, and would maybe mean one person constantly finding secrets or unknown aspects to the ascendant person??

Hmm. I have this with my boyfriend. My asc falls into his 12th along with my Mars (his Mars is also in the 12th). I was also wondering about it, and I *think* it means that the 12th house person can see the asc person in a more nebulous, watery way... in extreme cases, they might not see them clearly at all or even see them as untrustworthy somehow. In a good way though, they would romanticize the person, even idealize them because they seem somehow 'mysterious'. I think this might go both ways actually. If the asc is how we put ourselves out there in the world, and it's stuffed in someone's 12th, then maybe they don't always 'see' our outer mask. Maybe they see more of our core as a result? I hope more people can chime in and speak about this IP: Logged |

Well try having someones Sun,mercury, mars, ceres all in your 12th house. My sun, moon mars hits his 9th house Yes Ive been told it makes me watery to him, even though Im all fire. In a way he seems like he can do no wrong, even though he's a pisces.. (go fiqure) Makes me wanna please him and do what ever will make him happy. IDK I dont even care if that includes me or not..lolol (shrug) Im a Leo and damn totally not me....LOL Take a look at the opposite person 9th house. See if that house is full of personal planets as well. The 12th house can mean, psyhic connections, repression, healing, while the 9th house can show, teacher, healer, spirtual experiences. See if they match up.

I think if someone has planets in your 9th, they see you in a jupiter/sag way, so they are more non-clingy, more sagittarian in behavior.the person with someone's planets in their 12th sees and acts in a pisces/neptunian way towards the other. Planets in your 12th are powerful, but confusing. IP: Logged |

I've seen a number of long term relationship swhere one partner's ASC falls in the other's 12th. I think there must be some degree of beneficial overlay here, so don't simply assume it's all negative. This could indicate a merging, or a yearning to merge, with one another, to not become so much two people together but one person. One might think the person the ASC in the other's 12th would be more submissive, but actually I've seen cases where that person was the leader in the relationship. I think that may have to do with other placements in the charts.Another theory I have about this is, if you have two people who's ASC are not that far apart, only one sign apart, then in the composite, the composite ASC will not be very far away for either their own native ASCs. So this may create an affinity for each partner in how they feel about themselves within the relationship, with both persons feeling like it's a good, comfortable fit for them. IP: Logged |

That's really helped - I posted this because my mum is the 12th house and her husband is the ascendant person and the interpretations and experiences given seem to match their relationship perfectly from what she's told me and what an outsider can see looking in.Re the 9th house, my mum's is empty and her husband has his neptune and chiron in the 9th. His Venus falls into her 9th. That seems to affirm the jupiter/sag theory of the 9th house because he's very non-clingy and yet she's completely focussed on him almost to the point of obsession at its worst. I've sometimes worried about her to be honest because I felt she was getting swallowed up by the relationship at times and losing her identity (which thanks to her Leo asc used to be incredibly strong!) but now I feel they've managed to balance things a little better and we're seeing the merging aspect rather than one of domination. Thanks everyone IP: Logged | |
