this post is about venus/moon aspects and sign placement (or elements)...

i wonder if people who have their moon and venus in harmonious aspect or signs (elements) fair better in relationships than those who have hard aspects or signs between their moon and venus.

referring to the article in the previous post...
venus is our taste preference. lawer said it is what type of behavior was approved of when one was a child. venus in leo would be someone who's independence and self expression was strongly encouraged. venus in pisces could be the sponge of the family, empathy and maybe even taking on the problems of the family would be approved of. maybe venus in aquarius wasn't encouraged to express emotion and intellectual prowess was expected.

any thoughts on this...where is your venus?
mine is in capricorn. i was definitely expected to be responsible and orderly. till this day, i am the one who will "get things done" in the family. pragmatism over emotionalism...

now to the moon. the moon represents one's deepest needs. what makes us feel secure. what makes us feel intimate and close. so a leo moon, being the center of attention and SHOWING love would be what makes them feel secure. a woman with a leo moon would not be a good candidate for being part of a polygamist family. pisces moon has got the urge to merge. may be a bit smothering, but good for mutual spiritual interests.

with all of that said. i could really see how having one's moon and venus in hard aspect to each other difficult. my moon is square venus by sign. i've got an aries moon that loves spontaneity, freedom and living it up. but my venus in capricorn is so serious. it takes relationships very seriously. on one hand, it tames my aries moon's impulsive nature. but its a wet blanket most of the time. it makes me think about the practical implications of every emotion. who cares about that stuff? LOL i have a hard time dating casually if i don't see any potential in the relationship.

i am very hard to please because i can't figure out what i really want: firey fun, or earthy security? both, but how?

what is your venus sign and your moons sign?
how do they relate? how do you think it affects your relationships?

Difficult for me to answer.

I have Venus at 4 Gemini, in the 9th house. It's conjunct my Saturn at 29 Tau. In between them, I have the little love asteroid Amor at 1 Gem.

My moon is ate 20 Pisces, in my 7th. It's quintile my Venus within a <2 degree orb, and quintile Amor as well.

If that's not confusing enough, I have the paradoxical love asteriod Diana exact conjunct my 7th house Pisces moon and quintile my Venus as well.

My Venus and Amor is also trined Black Moon Lilith, and this seems to be pretty significant in my case, as BML is exact trine my Amor alomost to the minute. Of these two seemingly clashing descriptions Amor and BML, I can say BOTH greatly color my Venus expression:

quote:
AMOR: This ones has imagination, & subtle innuedos, with romantic aids, producing a deires for physical gratification. One needs to clarify & honour boundaries with this one tho, one maybe exciting or mysterious, rather than just an extension of the self. Soft & gentle lovemaking & fantasies....

BLACK MOON LILITH: A darker & more hidden sexuality, a promise of high levels of sexual satisfactionby allowing hidden self/ fantasies to emerge in sexual expression. This one can take you to the best sex you have ever had, yet vereing toward the more positive energy of this is advised, so treat each other with respect.

So I'm conversely attracted to men who seem to either appeal to my Amor-influence Venus side or my BML-influenced Venus side, but ALL in this sort of hyper-cerebral Gemini way, PLUS with that fussy, "no second rate jokesters need apply" discriminating taste of my Saturn..all the while yearning to find someone who can live up to all that...AND connect with my mushy Pisces moon, that's conjucnt Diana, so I have this fear of being "trapped" and "suffocated" by a love partner, yearning for that Dianan satefty-through-freedom that would paradoxically allow me to expose my vulnerabilities within a relationship:

quote:
DIANA: Free-flowing, sensitive sexuality, with a strong need for individual expression & freedom. Making love in sheltered natural places in the open will suit diana. Initial shyness, so imagination & sensitivity to understand & cater to physical & emotional vulnerabilities will help. Music or wordscan also be halpful, & ensuring safety.

*sigh* I'm...complicated.

The saying "the heart wants what it wants" definitely applies to me. At least there that quintile between my moon and Venus, so they seem to want to cooperate in finding me a partner who can appreciate my utterly fickle, ever changing, Mercurial yet deep desires.

I allways wonder about that my self.
My Venus is in Aries at 27 degrees in the 10th house conjuct the Sun at 27 Aries, my Moon is trine this at 27 degrees in Sag in the 6th house and this is trine by Saturn at 29 in Leo in the 2nd house, so I have a grand trine in fire, my seventh house ruler is Saturn trine Moon, trine Venus trine Sun, trine Mercury, sextile Ascendant, sextile Uranus, but my relationships have allways been very painful, I don't think that I have been happy for a long time, I allways have my heart broken, my Venus don't have challenging aspects they are trines and sextiles and the conjuction with Mars, with good aspects I think the problems is with Jupiter in the 7th house, Jupiter has squares to my planets in Aries and an inconjuct with Saturn, when I love a do it with everything that I have, I am a very responsable person and I really try, but not matter what my heart gets broken and Venus & Moon have very good aspects.
I don't try to understand any more.
