I know this guy for about three years, im the inner wheel and he's the outer...can anyone tell me whether we have romantic compatability? Thank you

Hi, it's better if you can post the images of the synastry and the composite here instead of the link to astro.com (it will expire soon too). Save the images of the charts to your computer, and then upload them to a free image hosting site (imageshack, tinypic, photobucket, etc.). Yup, that's what I did; use photobucket!

You had excellent sexual chemistry three years ago. From where I sit, and I'm far from an expert, but the energy is spent.This should be a major year in is life, as Mercury, his ruling planet two times over goes direct in his progressed chart. Roughly three years ago I see you had pSun conj his nMars in Scorpio. For me this shows attraction pure and simple. Alongside this aspect you had pMars conjunct pVenus in Libra in an applying aspect. If two people are going to have sex, these are the best conditions for getting it done. If nothing happened, I won't have much hope for the future. Three years hence, now, pMars & pVenus are still only one degree apart, but Venus has caught up to and passed mars. With the faster moving planet out in front this gulf will only get wider. Venus/Mars aspects are more physical (sex) in nature than romantic. As for romance/relationship aspects...from my limited perspective, haven't seen any. . IP: Logged |

This synastry thing is so confusing, his sun trines my moon, his chiron trines my venus natally, these should point to some romantic compatability. His venus on my ascendant I don't understand though...it seems to be all about progressions..but don't they fizzle out? Isn't the natal synastry that really counts?IP: Logged |

The natal is the potential in the background, but the progressions will show what is in the centre, in the NOW. I am still undecided if the natal on its own keeps some strength in bringing people together (without progressions), or if it really is the progression that triggers the natals and provides a starting point, and without it the most beautiful synastry would remain pretty useless. Maybe your right DD, I know lots of couples who had amazing natal synastry and it didn't work out in the long term, one such couple had mutual progressed moon squaring the others saturn, it all must have gotten a bit draining. As for my synastry with this guy, my progressed mars is in a 2 degree orb conjunction with his progressed venus in libra...does this progression need to be exact I wonder? IP: Logged |

DD, I have a nice synastry with a friend of mine (like his Moon and Venus near my Moon/Venus/Mercury - which is my chore center for me), and I guess that back then we had a light crush on each other, while as I remember, there was nothing special in the progressed charts (we had pMars oppose pVenus applying, but wider than 3ºdegrees). But then, I suddenly felt a stronger attraction without knowing why, just to later notice that there was something in the progressions (I guess that I've felt the effects after it was less than 3ºdegrees, possibly less than 2ºdegrees - I'm really not sure about my friend thought).I would think that without progressions, we might not have that "sudden heartbeats" intense attraction, but if the synastry and the composite are good, the affinity and good feelings can still be felt. Like in my case, I've always felt an emotional affinity and admiration for this friend even when I didn't feel that heartbeat attraction.
In return, I might think that without a good synastry and composite, the relationship doesn't have enough solid base when the progressions ends. IP: Logged |

You just wrapped the hunch / feeling I`ve had into perfect words. 
I think it may be the difference between (sudden) attraction (progressions) and affinity (synastry)- "In return, I might think that without a good synastry and composite, the relationship doesn't have enough solid base when the progressions ends."
Agree on this, too. Isn`t that boring? I seem to agree with you all the time.

Im not sure whether or not progressions or natal synastry is king but I heard today from this guys best friend that he has been obsessed with me for about three years now lol, maybe it's not romantic compatibility I should be searching for here but signs of obsession. This guy (outer wheel) is already in a long term relationship but according to his friend wants to leave the girl he's with for me if he thought he had a chance with me. That's why I posted this...it's a strange situation as I work with this guy aswell.IP: Logged |
