Hello all. I've been thinking of making some radical changes in my career. Tech support is not cutting it for me anymore. I need to help... more people on a bigger scale. Thinking of going into nursing and eventually becoming a dietitian. Actually nutrition and sustainability, small scale farming, eating organic food, living closer to nature are all issues I am concerned with. Any nurses out there that can give me some sound advice? Am I completely off my rocker? Hmmm. Maybe conventional nursing is not for me. But what then? Aghh! Here is my natal chart with progressions. What do you think? ------------------ Know Yourself IP: Logged |

go for it! looks like you'd make a good writer of childrens' books. you have definitely got the creative bug. also looks like you may have a bit of a problem focusing on one thing. with that saturn in the 7th house, a business partner may provide the structure you need to stay focused. IP: Logged |

OMG, do I EVER know what I want to do?! LOL. The only thing I know for certain is that I want to be of service. The more, the better. I'm screwed about writing - English is my second language - I gave up writing when I moved to the US. So. What's left? A million other things. LOL.IP: Logged |

Yin, helping people heal naturally via superior nutrition seems to be gaining momentum. I really do believe this is the near future. Body wisdom will always have to be taught to those for whom it is not inherent. Rising health care costs are opening the doors for alternative methods. Home remedies may become popular again thanks to the economy. Your desires are very noble and necessary for "evolving" the culture. Jupiter in Cancer correlates to food and nursing. It appears a good fit that will allow you to labor with love and earn your daily bread. I don't know much about nursing, but I copied the following from the WomentoWomen website for an example of a nurse guiding women via a more holistic approach.Marcelle Pick, RNC, MSN, OB/GYN NP Marcelle co-founded Women to Women in 1983 with a vision to change the way in which women’s healthcare is delivered. In her practice, Marcelle undertakes a holistic approach that not only treats illness, but also helps women make choices in their lives to prevent disease. Marcelle earned a BS in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire School of Nursing, a BA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, and her MS in Nursing from Boston College–Harvard Medical School. She is certified as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Nurse Practitioner Association and American Holistic Nurses Association. Marcelle has served as Medical Advisor to Healthy Living Magazine, lectured on a variety of topics — including “Alternative Strategies to Healing” and “Body Image” — and appears regularly on television to discuss women’s health. In April 2009 Marcelle’s first book The Core Balance Diet was published by Hay House, the premier mind-body-spirit publisher in the world. The book focuses on weight loss and the metabolic obstacles that keep women from achieving and maintaining health weight. IP: Logged |
