Mercury in the 9th by transit isn't that significant or telling of a good love life about to unfold.

It's more about your mind and what your thoughts are going to be focusing on. The 9th house represents everything that is special and distant; things we have to work hard for like higher education, traveling, the legal system. It represents the things that people cherish such as awards and recognitions, and diplomas.

I have Sun, Mercury, and Venus in the 9th house and I live without my family in a different state. I haven't traveled to any other countries yet, but you better believe I will travel the world one day. It's my dream and I would like to do it with someone I love (Venus).

So yeah it's a short transit, not as heavy as the outer planets transiting the houses I think.

Transiting Mercury is in my 9th too

Mercury is stationary retrograde now in 12'36 Taurus. That's in my 9th house and trining my Ascendant in 13'27 Virgo. Well...going retrograde in my 9th, it will be a time to reflect about religious, philosophical matters, belief systems. It's time to go back to church. I haven't been there for over a couple of months. It is also a time for me to go over my big plans about my new nonprofit organization. In my current lunar return which started on April 10th, I have retrograde Saturn in 9th oppose Uranus in 3rd,and that squares Ascendant. I believe that also fits with the theme of retrograde Mercury in my 9th.

Checking out the lunar return might help a person see strong themes.

Mercury Transits the Ninth House

Not content to focus on mundane, practical affairs just now, your mind turns to bigger visions, thoughts, and ideals. You are open to expanding your knowledge base during this cycle, and communications from or with someone far away may be part of the picture. You are putting everything into perspective now, rather than compartmentalizing. Instead of simply shooting the breeze, you are more inclined to discuss broader philosophies now. Your inclination during this cycle is to think about the "big picture" rather than the mundane circumstances and details of your life. Missing appointments and other forms of forgetfulness could be part of the picture now. http://www.cafeastrology.com/mercury_transits_houses.html

glaucus-i have actually been looking for a home church alot recently. i have tried various types of churches, such as the new type of church where you can drink coffee and eat donuts while praising God. its also strange to look on a screen while in church for me. but for me i am more comfortable in the traditional black church. or any church that is more traditional. i am very interested in the basics of church.
i havent found my church but i am yearning for a home! i want to find somewhere that is close knit. i feel kind of awkward though because i dont hoop and holler like alot of other people. even though i know im not the only quiet one in the church, it feels like it especially in the black church or a pentacostal church.
so yes i see this happening in this transit.
i hope i can find one. but with me being so sensitive (probably that 12th house moon) i will leave immediately if im not getting a good, safe vibe.

Yeah..it's definitely a time that you can consider going back to church.

The church that I am member of is an interfaith unity church. Therefore,it's not a traditional church. Even though the church is in Sacramento,California which has 14 percent Black population, the percentage of blacks that go there is below 2 percent. It's not an ethnically diverse church.

I want to make friends and fellowship in the church as well as use it for support for my new nonprofit organization. The church was actually one of the presenters of the Children Of The New Earth Conference which was mainly about Indigo,Crystal Children stuff. I became a member of the church May 30th of last year. The Conference was held around that time too.

I never felt comfortable with traditional churches nor Christianity for that matter. I am of Roman Catholic roots on my mother's side. My mother told me that my father was a baptist.

I think that it reflects my t-square of Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd.

The spiritual,religious restlessness.

The retrograde Mercury transit in my 9th could be a time to go back to church and get acquainted with some people there again and even make new friends. I also will inform them of the nonprofit organization too. Some of the members work in special education field.

glaucus, my mother was of Roman Catholic roots, too! i actually did the first communion, cathecism (sp) and everything else. i do kind of miss it sometimes. i honestly dont know what aspect of chrisianity i want to be but at the same time i dont think i have to choose. but i love to watch the holy ghost parties in the black church and the singing with all your heart. i just feel more at home there, i dont know how to explain it.
yes i remember last year when you joined and you were very happy and excited about it.
im glad now that i am a true believer in GOd thanks to astrology. i had doubts before. now i just want to put down roots somewhere and begin to serve Him in His house... i just dont know where. and being i did not grow up being active in church, it makes me bashful that i dont know the role/part/duty that people play in church or what to say, etc.
even though i did have some religion and church going when i was young, i never attended regularly. my mother was so tired and worn out from working, etc that we were not able to make it every Sunday.
