I've been looking at name asteroids a lot! I have mostly noticed them to be meaningful in natals (like someone else's name in exact aspect to your angles, planets, important asteroids) and between charts if exact. Mostly, what I've found is that they describe the nature of the relationship and the significance in your life. Also if you don't find the person's exact name, pretty much any and all asteroids that SOUND like the name will do. IP: Logged |

YES they mean something and I always look in to them. I cannot tell you how many couples that are truly in love, have their name asteroids conjunct their planets and the others name asteroid as well. I only use conjunctions maybe 2 degree orb. I use last names, middle names even nicknames, shortened names too if I cannot find first names! IP: Logged |

Hi Aquarius, when you look at name asteroids of couples and they are conjunct planets, is it usually personal planets or outer too? IP: Logged |

I knew there was an asteroid with the Latin root of my first name, but when I went to look it up, I was very VERY shocked and surprised to see an earlier asteroid that is my birth first and middle name combined. Wow-sy!!!! And they're both retro and conjunct in my 5th house in Aqua. Hmmmm. Not sure what to make of that. However, the guy I'm totally crushing on has both these asteriods conjunct less than one degree to his moon natally. Weird. If only he was crushing on me back, but alas, not only he's seeing someone else, the rumor is he's going to propose to her anyday now. IP: Logged |

OK, now I'm officially freaked out. I went digging around the asteroid list further. The above mentioned guy with whom I have the unrequited and hopeless crush on, there's an asteroid with his first and middle name combined too, and it's smack between my 7th house Pisces moon and my Pisces DC, all of which is conjunct his Venus. So, synastry-wise, his name asteriod in my chart is conjunct his Venus, and my name asteriod in his chart aspects my Sun (quincunx), Eros (quincunx), Saturn (trine), Moon (quintile), Pluto (trine) and Jupiter (sextile). His name asteriod in hi chart, on the other hand, forms teh apex of a t-square with my Venus-Neptune oppostion, and my name asteroid in my chart forms a mystic triangle with his Mercury and Neptune. All tight orbs here too. That IS rather weird, if you ask me.

my name and his name in his chart conjunct my descendant, juno and vertex (all less than 1.5 degrees as my vertex and juno are very closely conjuncting my desc)my name and his name in both charts conjunct each other by 1 degree in our composite, my name and his name conjunct each other (1 degree orb) in the seventh house, conjuncting very tightly the moon, adonis, pluto and vesta etc. guess it works?

I believe name asteroids are significant..but typically only the first name that each person goes by. Your name really does vibrate some energy , it is what people know you by. I have never found any good essays on what name asteroids could mean, but to me...a name asteroid in another person's chart shows how they perceive you (sign) and in what area of life you may show up or make the most impact (house). I think aspects between the name asteroid and personal planets act similar to if you were comparing a combo of your Sun/Moon/ASC with your partner's personal planets.
My name in my boyfriend's chart is exactly conjunct his Moon. I know he feels a very deep and emotional attachment to me. I'm in his 6th house. We met at work and have worked together for over a year. My name in his chart squares my Mars..perhaps he feels competitive or more aggressive around me. Just one example.

I think name asteroids work. In both our charts, our Destinn is conjunct both our names. And his first name in my chart conjuncts with his last name in his chart, so when the charts overlay, the name reads together. His name also shows like that in my daughter's chart.IP: Logged |

la_sexorcisto, i totally agree and have observed the same things. I've also noticed in exact aspect to angles it can describe a significant impact on your life's course, apart from the particular energies of a planet. In the charts I've looked at this seems to hold up. I've also noticed a lot of significant people in one's life whose names make exact aspect to one's Sun or Moon. Something I'm still not clear on how to "read" is personal planets between charts aspecting someone's name asteroid. For example, if my Moon aspects YOUR name asteroid in YOUR chart. I have, and it seems others have too, noticed this to be significant in charts but am not quite certain how to read it yet. IP: Logged |
