re:
** '9 and 17 degrees of Gemini; 9 degrees of Virgo and Pisces are degrees of homicide.' **

my natal mars is 9.32 gemini
and moon is 17.02

i've yet to commit homicide and certainly don't fancy the idea ..

maybe don't get worked up 'n worried about the things you might read about astrology ..
although .. i must admit that last night i read thru saturn in 3rd house by Liz.G
and ended up feeling quite depressed about it ..

although my current mars transit ( square to natal pluto ) .. and merc transit ain't helping
.. am starting to link 'anger' and feeling 'trapped' with depression ..
( ongoing noise situation with a neighbour .. it getting me seriously down and angry )

~~~~~~~~~~~
i've vesta at 22 degrees in 8th 'n trans bm.lillith is now conjuct ..
do asteroids count ?
natal sun at 23.52 .. saved by a whisker ;-)
Okay, your taking these fixed stars waayyy too seriously..for instance about 60% of these stars have in their descriptions, "suicide, death, violence etc....don't take them too literally..on the grand scheme of things they're irrelevant unless exactly conjunct one of the angles/sun/moon natally. If you are depressed then its shown in your natal chart or else you have a long term transit/progression that's doing this to you. Care to post a natal chart?
lol
A very good example how you can carry statistics too far.
Personally I find that ridiculous. But that is just my opinion.
I have mean NN on 9 Sag, so beware of me!
I don't know.....the case some astrologers make for Algol is pretty compelling.
Bernadette Brady doesn't believe in using ecliptic projections.
She uses the paran method
when a planet and angle are on angle simultaneously
That was the oldest way of using the stars
The use of ecliptic projection didn't come to being until astrologers use Ptolemy's fixed star calculations in his astronomy book and used them for Astrology.
Brady uses mythology for insight into the stars.
Therefore, her delineations are far different from the delinations of the ecliptic projection. They are not gloomy,fatalistic.
According to Bernadette Brady, Algol is just mainly female passion.
I have her 2 fixed star books and her software,Starlight.
My Mercury is at 17 Gemini. Yes, I kill people. With VERBOSITY!!!! Grrrr. I know many words! Some of them very big too! Fear me!!!!
In other words, I find this sort of absolutism in astrology to be pretty ridiculous. Astrology--good astrology that is--is based on nature, not dogma.
I've read about this before. My Asc/Des is 9*24 Virgo/Pisces with my natal Pluto@10 Virgo. I have one hell of an evil eye but I'd never kill anyone.
My Sun/Moon MP is 23 Taurus but I do like Glaucus' reference to Bernadette Brady saying Algol refers to female passion. Assuming it's a positive reference
I have Uranus at 22 degrees Libra. Not sure what I'd be looking for as far as it being bad. It's a good placement in my chart, though, as it relieves the stress of my primary opposition.
I have my Mars at 9 Leo and a ton of planets/asteroids at 22 degrees and have never experienced any misfortune. Quite the opposite, I'm rather lucky.
I prefer Brady's interpretations as well.
"Glaucus - 'Bernadette Brady doesn't believe in using ecliptic projections. She uses the paran method when a planet and angle are on angle simultaneously'
I'd never heard of the paran method. Is this the method you use?
When you say 'planet and angle are on angle', do you mean in a natal/transit chart?"
I actually prefer the paran method. It's the oldest method, and it's connected to astronomy. The other aspects are just symbolic.
the ecliptic longitude projections were not even intended to be used by Ptolemy. They were changed over the years that they are not using what Ptolemy used. Therefore, they might not be valid any way.
just natal chart
