See whether the general description of jupiter in the first or second house fits your personality best....does this change when you change the house system? When I use placidus my venus lands in the second house....im not into posessions/money etc...when i use equal house system (apparently the oldest and most accurate for any longitude and latitude) my venus falls in the 1st...i'd say the first is more accurate cause my diet is 100% pure surgary goodness and im soooooo lazy it hurts What planets are aspecting your jupiter?IP: Logged |

i have my uranus on the cusp of the 8th and 9th house.literally. my cusp is at 1 degree cap and my uranus is in 1 degree cap. i usually can relate to both of them. i just try to read both interpretations to get a feel.. but i sorta have a hard time choosing. so i figure that its both influences. i would think that venus in the 2nd house would give you an indulgant streak and like you said lazy. and you would like your possessions to be nice and aesthetic. youd like your creature comforts too when i use different house systems my planets change drastically. my saturn goes from the 9th to the 8th. uranus is fully in the 8th. my jupiter goes to the 2nd and my sun merc goes to the 5th house. i really dont know if which i side with more. i guess placidus but i can see a bit of correlations with the equal house way. Equal house system is not the oldest Whole sign house system is the oldest.Other house systems came into being based on interpretation errors of Ptolemy's text. Then came the problem with intercepted houses which tend to be a problem mostly in the higher latitude regions. Houses get very uneven in those areas. Lot houses which were based on looking at houses from the Part of Fortune were used with the whole sign house method. Robert Hand wrote a booklet about all that. If I see a planet in a house and close the cusp of the next house, I interpret it as both houses. In a whole sign house system, it will be in the next house any way. ------------------ Raymond

Thanks, everyone! The interpretations of Jupiter in the first and second seem to both fit me. I tend to be optimistic (usually) and I'm really generous with people. IP: Logged |
