is it more common to discredit wide orbs in trines? or is it more often accepted that wide orbs (less than 10?) are simply lesser felt/recognized?or are they supposedly Non existent in being felt between two? wide trines to pluto from venus/moon, and a wide conjunct to mars? orbs of 8 IP: Logged |

I think personal planets may still be felt in wide orbs.I definitely would not use an orb as wide as 8' for outer planets though. Yes to the Mars -- No to the Pluto IP: Logged |

I agree, 8 is too wide for an outer planet aspect. When im looking at charts or synastry I always list the aspects in order from most important to least...as in the tightest orb between personal planets first with hard aspects, then soft aspects and so on so forth until you get to the outer planets with soft aspects and wide orbs..i usually ignore those though.IP: Logged |

Only for the harder aspects, and even then they're questionable. That's when you have to consider things like whether it's applying or seperating, and so on. You may still feel the energy of the two compatible or incompatible planets but its definitely not as strong. IP: Logged |

Really wideorbed aspects will still be somewhat felt through their signbackground - and sometimes midpointpictures are simultaneously working here, too.I see it as some kind of "noise/music" - the exact aspects are the loudest, and the wider the orb, the harder it is to hear the music. Probably in a chart with no exact aspects, the wider orbs might be heard more easily, while exact aspects "trump" the wideorbed ones. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't use an 8 degree orb for a wide trine to Pluto. That's really stretching it. Pluto is just a dwarf planet. I only give it a 3 degree orb compared to the planets which I give a 5 degree orb. I am talking about natal. if we use an 8 degree orb for Pluto, then we can do the same for Eris,Makemake,Haumea which are also transneptunian dwarf planets. The same orb could be used for Sedna,Quaoar,Orcus,Varuna, and Ixion which are transneptunian dwarf planet candidates. there are over 70 transneptunians that meet dwarf planet criteria. We can use 8 degree orbs for those too. You probably have other transneptunian aspects tha make you relate to tha wide orbed Pluto aspect. You might have Moon trine Pluto within orb in Right Ascension. There could be a midpoint picture. ------------------ Raymond Supporting the Neurodiversity Movement A Different Mind Is Not A Deficient Mind. http://people.tribe.net/4b0cf8c4-1fc3-4171-92d3-b0915985bf95/blog IP: Logged |
