It's so spot on, even according to house, that I am floored. You all don't need me to tell you how merc rx screws with technology. It messes up computers and other electronic devices, yada yada yada. Well, my internet went out. Second time in a few days. That has never happened to be before ever.
I attempted to fix it, hehe... let's just say I am not computer impaired but I am NOT a computer whiz, either. I'm that dangerous in-between person who can sometimes tool around and fix stuff, but runs a HIGH risk of really messing crap up. So I tried. I could tell that it was most likely a service provider problem, or an external problem, because my wireless connection was fine. I reset the modem, check the modem, rebooted, etc. All the standard stuff. So I looked at the properties of my wireless connection and I then found it: My wireless was OPEN!!! "Holy mother of God!" I thought. It was most likely like this the entire time I had the computer.
So what does Ms.-in-between (aka "no-nothing" about computers) do? Oh....guess!
That's right. I tried to reset it myself. Couldn't resist.
Aahahaha. Epic fail, of course.
So then I try a system restore to wipe away all evidence of my idiocy. Doesn't f-ing work. &^%$ I don't know why that didn't work. I have to manually back up, I suppose, for next time.
So, I called my provider and he showed me how to access my pass for the wireless and of course I reset that.
Where, you ask, is merc rx in my chart? This is the kicker.
12th house. House of secrets and self-undoing. My computer was wide open. I found out during rx in my 12th and I fixed the threat to my security. If my internet hadn't gone down, for whatever reason, I would still be open, but since I went to try to "fix" it, I found a stealthy little threat to my privacy. Yay. Perfect.

Well, it was in my 9th and then quickly moved back into my 8th. I can't say it's affecting anything except maybe the fact I'm not getting work tutoring right now. Which means I won't be getting any extra paychecks to supplement my meager part-time teacher salary that barely pays my bills. And not only is it Mother's Day next month, my mom's b-day is in May. It seems I'm always broke during May, because of that double blow to my budget, but this May I'm going to be really broke.I can't wait for Merc to go direct and move back into my 9th. I'm in the middle of a big literary research project, and could really use some 9th house Mercury transits about now! IP: Logged |

Effing power went out. Most of yesterday. It never happens here. Ever. It came back on and on top of that the damn internet has been more batsh!t than ever in its slow responses. Cable is out too. And one of my (Gemini) sisters is being an idiot but it's only more noticeable now since I've had time to think about it when the power was out. IP: Logged |

What a nightmare, Diana! I would hate it if something like that happened.Mercury RX is in my natal 5th house making an exact Yod with my neptune on my ASC and my Pluto on my MC. Pupils have been a nightmare lately! I guess I am asked to find a balance between the lenience of Neptune/ASC and the authority of Pluto/MC EDIT: Mercury rules my 9th house (intercepted Virgo) and 7th house. IP: Logged |

It's retro in my 7th house. My computer has been on the blink in various ways, since April 15th (although I initially lost my wireless connection, just after Valentine's Day).I'm on edge. I wonder if that's partially due to Mercury being the ruler of my Moon/Venus (Gemini), and not just PMS. *edit. I'd forgotten about the Full Moon in my first house tomorrow, and Chiron square my Moon/Venus. IP: Logged |

Like teasel, Mercury Rx in 7th Full Moon in 1st...Where do I begin... 'Love of my life is going back to Korea for some other girl (he said he hopes), and he views me as just a friend. Errr... what else? Well, this makes him an open enemy at the mo because I'm cutting him off until I am sane enough to deal with him as a human being. I swear... April was a month from hell! All areas of my life are challenging... ALL, and then now Mercury RX... Mr. Aries said, "I hope we can forget about this conversation on May 11, when Mercury goes direct." I said, "do what you want." Communications are hard for me during this time. So, I think I am taking a vow of silence (typing being an exception) lol ------------------ Blog IP: Logged |

Unmoved, it was cruel of him to keep you hanging. I'm sorry things turned out the way they did.I'm thinking of taking the month of May off, from the internet. I would miss so many people, though. My computer has been so dodgy, but I keep fighting it, when I could use the time away from misunderstandings and arguments, as well as getting lost in blogs and message boards of anything that interests me. For the moment, I'm going to try to stick to an "I can avoid threads that [might] bug me" affirmation/rule (something I picked up from another board, years ago), so that I can keep my blood pressure at an even level, and do my best to avoid raising that of somebody else. I'm exhausted, procrastinating on things that I need and want to do (partially because I'm so tired); knowing how much I used to get done, before I had regular access to the internet (at least, on a DSL/wireless connection), I really think that a month or so off would be a good thing. (Of course, my best friend of twenty-four years would have to pick now to start using Facebook. Her updates make me laugh, and I miss her terribly.) IP: Logged |

I've got a Virgo Moon and a Gemini Venus and Mercury Rx is always an epic fail for me. I'm having a terrible time at work right now because I'm being floated everywhere under the sun like crazy (mercury rules my 6th). I'm not even sure if my present ever reached my grandfather (mercury is retro in my 4th).....but I did send it before mercury even slowed down. I also once made the mistake of applying for/starting a new job while Mercury was Retrograde. I lost that same job 3 months later. And let me tell you that it was Virgo Mooner's HELL while working there: so much disorganization...arrrgh. So now I really take it seriously when astrologer's warn not to sign for ANYTHING during these periods.

DD -- It actually sounds a lot worse than it was...Unmoved, that was mean of him. He should've told you sooner. Teasel, I also am weird with the internet right now and have been for awhile. I feel I need a break. Lately, I just lurk here, and hardly post, because I think the internet is making me tired. Or I am already tired and the internet is making it worse.
BM,
I once took a job during a rx and it was awful! Complete disorder as well. Worst job ever. That place was a mess. IP: Logged |

Transiting retrograde Mercury is in my 9th house.I went back to church for the first time in over 2 months. I also have to look for a treasurer for my nonprofit organization. The one that I chose wasn't the right one for the organization. I decided that I was going to do it, and then I realized that a person can't both President and Treasurer. Now I am looking for a Treasurer. I have talked to one person already. He's the friend of my Vice President/Secretary.

Unmoved,I agree that was really nasty of him. I actually have been informed today that a colleague is trying to, well, I am actually not quite sure what she is trying to do. But apparently she has told another colleague that she will not teach any pupils coming from my class (we sometimes transfer pupils to other clsses, if there are big problems in the old class or they just do not get along there), because she can`t get them "to her standard". Because I am not working according to the guidelines and other crap like that.
Well, the thing is I am actually keeping to the guidelines; I just don`t feel it is fair to let pupils fail a whole class just because of my subject, which is an ancient, dead language. While she is making it out as if it is a personal affront towards her, if her pupils do not learn what she has said during lessons, word for word. To sum it up; she is more stern than me. Anyway I thought that was a really arrogant thing to say, as if she is a better teacher than me. Actually she told another colleague, who wants us to talk it out. But I feel there is nothing to talk about. We are both keeping to the guidelines, but using the "free space" there still is in different ways. Besides several pupils have been transferred from her class into mine (partly on their own or their parent`s wish), and none of them fulfills even "my standard"; but actually I did not expect that. For a 14 year old boy there are far more interesting things in this world than differentiating between a subject and a verb I guess. Anyway, this really leaves a nasty taste for me (I did have a bad feeling about her from the beginning, so it is not really a surprise). And I think she is doing this to "make career" (well, being a teacher she definitely picked the wrong profession for the big career). I actually wanted to get rid of my position as "official speaker" of our little team of latinteachers at our school. But now I think I might consider keeping that position. ACtually another colleage asked me to do so, cause she does not want HER to get into that position. Jeez, I hate things like this. I just want to do my thing, teach my pupils, do my job well and not get into these muddy waters of envy and powerplay. This is childish!
I wonder what in the sky was responsible for that nuisance. Well, tr Pluto is conjunct my 6th and 10th house ruler. So maybe it brought some powerplay? Damn it, I had so hoped tr Pluto conjunct 5th house ruler, which is Venus, would bring some intense passionate encounters with a handsome male into my life. It goes never as I plan it!

It showed up on GPS today. Spot on! The locator application hadn't been working and suddenly it started working (it actually started working Monday but I just bothered to check today, I had stopped checking so frequently). So the thief is wandering around downtown with my phone I am weighing my options on trying to get it back. Trying to confront him/her seems a bit dangerous, it's in a bad neighborhood. I should do an horary to see if it says it will be returned to me...but I wanted to let you know you were right that it was "found." ------------------ My Chart IP: Logged |

I think part of my retrograde Mercury in 9th experience is told that I am a primary example in a 95 percent racist voting block that voted for Barack Obama because he's black and that I am wrong about USA not being a Christian nation but a secular one. racial matters, religion, viewpoints, beliefs are 9th house matters
I just don't like being falsely accused of something and being told that I am wrong because I express views that diverge from another another person's. Transiting retrograde Eris is quincunx my 9th house ruler Venus in 3rd with 2 minutes of arc right now too. that fits with ideological views (like I am right, and you're wrong) which I believe Eris is about : in Eris' discovery chart, Mercury-Venus-Pluto conjunction in 9th. ------------------ Raymond Supporting the Neurodiversity Movement A Different Mind Is Not A Deficient Mind. http://people.tribe.net/4b0cf8c4-1fc3-4171-92d3-b0915985bf95/blog IP: Logged |

I doubt I will confront the person directly Diana. It ended up in the worst possible part of town, undoubtedly sold or something. Everyone has been telling me not to interact with the person directly, so I'm going to heed that advice, the horary was moreso to see if it would ever end up back in my hands. Thanks for being worried though IP: Logged |

when it turned retro, it was in opposition to my Uranus, my 3rd house ruler. now it's gone back and opposing it at about 10 degrees wide.last night i bought credit for my Skype account, for the first time. i've been using Skype to chat but never to call other phones, which i have to buy credit for. i live in Europe, and i bought 5 EURO credit with my European account. i received receipts that i bought 5 euros. but for some completely unknown strange reason, on my Skype window, it said 610yen, *Japanese yen*. WTF??? i contacted the customer service, and the guy responded me with the idiotic answer, "We understand your issue. According to our logs the currency of your account was automatically set to Japaneese Yen. As you purchased for Euros the system automatically converted it into Yen." but just WHY? what do i have to do with Japanese yen!? i have NO idea! and i actually lost some cents because of the exchange rate. this is a total rip off!!! i emailed them requesting a satisfactory explanation and a refund. lets see what happens now... The a couple of evenings ago I was putting together a new wall-mounted media/book cabinet I bought, which is to help me better organize some of my stuff that is in boxes and piles on the floor. I was quite happy with how smoothly it went together. It actually was a lot more complicated than I expected, so while I had not problem, it still took forever to assemble. Then I had to wait to mount it because I needed a stud finder and didn't want to pay out the nose for one of those unreliable electronic ones. So I had to order an old fashion magnetic one online, since no one in town had them in stock. Well, the stud finder came, but once I cleared the wall space for the new cabinet I realized how badly I need to repaint the walls in that room, which really should be done BEFORE I hang the cabinet. *sigh* So tomorrow I will go get paint and stuff to paint that room, because my car is in the shop for inspection today and I'm without transpo. Meanwhile, this fabulous new wall cabinet is sitting int eh middle of my living room, in the way and collecting dust. So typical Merc RX for me so far. I have the patience to do things the right way the first time around, but it just seems to FOREVER to get a simple thing like this done and it all just seems kind of annoying. On the bright side, I have been offered a chance to write a short article on the research I've been doing that could end up getting published in a journal of literary criticism if accepted. No deadline either, just submit when I'm ready and if they like it they'll publish it. Yeah! IP: Logged |
