Since the phone disappeared and reappeared during Mercury Rx (as discussed in Diana's Mercury Rx thread), I decided to do an horary. The phone was set down somewhere, picked up (stolen), and after a week has now appeared in my GPS tracking software, so I can see it and have a general idea of its location, but have no idea who has it or if I will ever be able to get contact with that individual and recover the phone. Chart:
I see some arguments for AND against recovery here. I'm no good at horary, I use online interps a lot BUT I will say that the last 2 horaries I've done have come out dead on, including the one for whether I would get the job I have now, so I'm inclined to consider them reliable.
My significators are the Moon and Mercury, the phone's significator is the 2nd house ruler (Venus) as it is a portable, luxury, item. It's natural significator is Uranus (technology?)
*The moon is in the 2nd house--I'll get it back, yay!
*The moon is aspecting the ascendant ruler, but it's a separating aspect--I'm not going to get it back.
*There are a couple of indicators that it was stolen, which of course it was: 2nd house ruler is separating in hard aspect from the ruler of the 7th house, and I'm also going to reach and say that Uranus, which rules technology (?) is also in the 7th house.
*I also think the object's significator in the 9th house shows it has traveled out of state, which it did.
*The Moon and Sun are aspecting each other, which is generally positive--maybe I'll get it back after all.
**My significator is "cazimi"--this is supposed to be highly fortunate...perhaps there's really hope?
*The only applying aspect to the Moon is to the True Node in the 4th house...maybe it will find its way home...
So while I see some positive signs, there's a lot of negative.
Am I anywhere close or have I made it way too complicated?
My source for the interpretations is http://www.skyscript.co.uk/wit.html which has some awesome horary info.
Edited to add: For those who like to study horary, other accuracies in the chart include the fact that I was very worried about the object (Saturn in the 1st house) and that this is a serious money matter (a general interpretation of Moon in the 2nd)--the phone wasn't cheap and I spent another small fortune to replace it with an inferior used one.
