lol @ the chocolate statistics. Wouldnt that be because depressed people eat? and not chocolate depresses people? I am so sick of these ridiculous statistics they come up with. Im also sick of hearing everything causes cancer :P

Oh by the way Chiron is square my Jupiter at 1 degree SAG.

I don't feel depressed about the future..

I feel ok actually. Saturn is also on my ascendant square my moon, my feelings were worse last month but this month I feel content though I have no reason to be

I think people who are less alkaline are more depressed and at risk to medical problems than people who are in a general sense anyway.

It's not just chocolate.

I keep the orbs small for Chiron transits. I use only 1 degree.

I only monitor the transit from 1 degree applying to exact. That's it. No more Chiron transit.

There are other centaurs too,and I monitor those. There are over 60. Pholus and Nessus are no joke.

As for my Chiron transits for 2010 to 2011

Transiting Chiron will square my Neptune in 1'48 Sagittarius on May 15th until Neptune goes retrograde on June 4, 2010.

Transiting Chiron will square my Neptune from Feb 20, 2011 to March 7, 2011.

Transiting Chiron will square my Neptune from Aug 30, 2011 to Sept 21, 2011.

Transiting Chiron will square my Neptune
from Nov 28, 2011 to Dec 29, 2011.

Transiting Chiron conjunct my Mars in 25'54 Aquarius from Sept 25, 2010 until Chiron goes direct on Nov 5, 2010.

Transiting Chiron conjunct my Moon in 3'11 Pisces from March 12, 2011 to March 28, 2011.

Transiting Chiron conjunct my Moon from Aug 1, 2011 to Aug 23, 2011

Transiting Chiron square my Saturn in 5'08 Gemini from April 15, 2011 to May 12, 2011

Transiting Chiron square my Saturn from when Chiron goes retrograde on June 8, 2011 to July 5, 2011.

Transiting Chiron will square my Sun in 5'20 Scorpio from April 20, 2011 to May 22, 2011.

Transiting Chiron square my Sun from when Chiron goes retrograde on June 8, 2011 to June 25, 2011.

these are the periods that Chiron stations

Chiron stationary retrograde on June 4, 2010 in 00'59 Pisces
Chiron stationary direct on Nov 5, 2010 in 26'04 Aquarius
Chiron stationary retrograde on June 8, 2011 in 5'29 Pisces
Chiron stationary direct on Nov 10, 2011 in 0'38 Pisces

Well before they were saying chocolate is good for us and that it helps with stress.

Then for how many years they convinced us that eggs were bad for us and high in cholesterol and now apparently they're not.

well my personal lifelong study has not corroborated theirs. i eat chocolate and am rarely depressed!

in fact i have heard that people who drink coffee (in moderation) are less likely to commit suicide than those who don't. the main ingredient coffee and chocolate share is caffeine, which in large doses can let you down after the buzz, but that is large doses...

perhaps the excess sugar is the culprit. chocolate itself without nasty additives is supposed to be extremely good for you!!

however chiron is currently squaring its natal place in my chart, conjuncting the moon and opposing mercury(activating the natal t-square between these three). i will admit to passing moods like the one you describe, HD. passing, though, not pervasive...

My moods have been coming and going, as well.

My mother mentioned the chocolate study to me, and I thought the same thing as Belgz.

I try to pay attention to how certain foods make me feel, and am consuming more of the healthier foods - making vegetable juice and smoothies (occasionally - I should be doing it more often). My mood dunked around 2pm, and now I'm making home-made pizza. I hardly ever used to do the comfort food thing - if I was upset, I couldn't eat. This afternoon, I noticed that a little while after my mood sank, I felt ravenous.

Anyway, so far, the transit has been better than I expected.

The Chiron-Neptune conjunction will figure strongly in my next Solar Return

Solar Return Chiron in 25'56 Aquarius R
Solar Return Neptune in 26'06 Aquarius R
conjunct Natal Mars in 25'54 Aquarius
square Solar Return Midheaven in 24'49 Scorpio

Solar Return Chiron-Neptune conjunct my Natal Mars will be like having that as a transit for the whole year.

This year on New years I quit chocolate for 3 months. I was depressed. I did it because someone sent me an email saying chocolate is bad for me and gave a million reasons why. So being Virgo rising I cut it out immediately. I ate alot of chocolate everyday and after i stopped honestly I wasn't the same. I substituted with arnotts biscuits and felt yuck.

I recently started again and I love chocolate im never doing that again

I experienced Chiron transits profoundly. It marked some experiences who have shaped the person I am today.

Chiron opposite Venus in my teens: a boy I used to be in love with became violent and disfigured me physically and emotionally.
t-Chiron square Venus in my 20s: most painful heartbreak so far.
t-Chiron square MC: lack of ambition regarding career goals; almost quit medschool.
t-Chiron square Chiron: depression, pure and simple, but it also started a healing process that is currently manifesting through:
-tChiron sextile Moon
-tChiron sextile Neptune
-tChiron sextile Mars
-tChiron trine Nodes
-tChiron trine pluto
and soon to come tChiron trine Saturn.
I am beginning to see the past in a new light, to forgive myself and others for the emotional trauma we inflicted upon each other.

You must be born around the same time I was because I'm having those exact transits. How are you liking it so far? I can tell you that I am not enjoying it. I'd rather not focus on my inner junk, thank you.

It's squaring my mars, nep, jupiter in the 7th.

Eventually, it will square my moon and venus. Oooh, I can't wait!

I don't even have a reference point because I don't know when it would've squared or opposed anything before, if it ever even has...

ETA: I looked and when it was last square these placements I don't recall things being too bad.

I will get a break later in the summer because it will rx and move out of orb for awhile. I looked at the ephemeris.

diana its orbit is app 51 years. but like pluto etc it goes faster through some signs than others...this link has a table that shows its passage over almost the last century:
http://www.cafeastrology.com/chironsignstables.html

while looking i found lots of different sites on chiron, more than ever before! but beware, they are not all equal...one claimed it takes 4 years to go thru each sign which is VERY inaccurate and could screw up any off the cuff calculations you might try.

i think my earlier years were dogged by my chiron t-square, but synchronistically about the time it was discovered i was learning to live with my chiron issues, and it gets easier as you go along (like a lot of things).

Well none of those chiron transits affected me. I feel fine.
Lots of people give birth during hard aspects with chiron and venus.
