Weekly Weather May 3, 2010Ya got trouble right here in River City! As the lyric from Music Man goes:
Well, either you're closing your eyes
To a situation you do not wish to acknowledge
Or you are not aware of the caliber of disaster indicated
By the presence of (insert the ‘gift’ that Saturn, Neptune and Uranus is bringing) in your community.
Ya got trouble, my friend, right here,
I say, trouble right here in River City.
We now enter our final approach to Saturn’s station at the end of May. It will be combined with lovely Neptune’s station a day later. Uranus is still in the mix, opposing and semi-sextiling them respectively. We get to face our own fears about our lives over the next few weeks. Face our fears about the things we didn‘t do yet. Face our fears about the things we wanted to do that didn‘t work out the way we wanted. Face our fears about the lack of time, talent or opportunity left to us. Face our fears about our habitual patterns that always seem to repeat themselves, over and over and over again. Face our fears about what we actually WANT to do but which we are fearful about.
One of the ways that Saturn teaches us is via fear.
He’s got those rings around him that help ring in his efforts to reach out and help. He scares us instead with his lack of affection. When I say Do Your Saturn, this is one of those months when and where you REALLY want to DO YOUR SATURN with capital letters. You want to nestle up and hug the old fellow even if HE winces and pulls away. Hug your Saturn!
Why? Well Saturn and Neptune will be dancing with each other for the next two months. Last September, the 12th to be precise, Saturn and Neptune were inconjunct to each other. On Sunday, May 2, they were inconjunct to each other at 28:29 in a Scorpio style form asking us to make a PSYCHOLOGICAL adjustment to the old or previous structure of our dream because Saturn is retrograde and Neptune is direct. At the end of May, Saturn and Neptune reverse positions. On June 27, they inconjunct each other again at 28:30, with Saturn direct and Neptune retrograde. At that time, they will ask us to create the NEW structure that supports the REVISED dream.
Take a second look at the degrees above 28:29 and 28:30 ~ separated by 56 days. Essentially Saturn and Neptune will be pushing on each other for the next 56 days. For 28 of them, Saturn will be reversed and sending fear or sadness of our dream not coming true. Then, on Memorial Day Weekend (end of May), Saturn goes direct and Neptune goes retrograde. After that Saturn will be full steam ahead to his new life and pushing on Neptune to revise the dream to suit the new reality of Saturn. That is a LOT of energy essentially sitting on one degree for almost 2 months. Pushing it first one way, then the next way.
All last week, various and sundry celebrities, friends, clients and students talked about the dreams they were afraid would not be coming true ~ Saturn Neptune inconjunct. We saw Sandra Bullock resurface, with a new adopted son in her arms and divorce papers in her hands to talk about the changed dreams for her life. Conan O’Brien appeared on 60 Minutes to talk about the changed dreams in his life.
In some cases, my clients regretted choices not made about love, relationships, jobs, children, work, or school. Others wondered about why the same kinds of people or situations kept recurring in their lives despite their best efforts to change. Still others despaired at ever being able to move out of the situations they found themselves in such as unhappy after 25 years of marriage. Others were moving out of their situations into uncertain futures and starting new chapters in their lives because they had to change such as leaving New York after 28 years of living here.
We will be reviewing the past with an eye open to see what works for us and what doesn’t work any more.
The MOST IMPORTANT THING is not to despair or give up on your dream. Your dream isn’t dead. It might be wearing a new outfit or wrapped in a slightly different shawl than you remember. Know that as long as you are alive, your dream has a chance of coming true.
And, as the cardinal cross starts a series of new cycles as a series of OLD cycles end, make sure to hold onto the edges of your dream to allow it shape shift before you.
And don’t be afraid to MODIFY your dreams to suit the new shape of your future life.
In the weeks ahead, Jupiter ends a 12 year cycle as he leaves Pisces to launch a new zodiacal cycle in June. Jupiter was last in Aries February 1999 to 2000.
Uranus ends an 84 year cycle as he leaves Pisces to launch a new zodiacal cycle. The last time Uranus was in Aries was March 1927 to 1935.
Saturn leaves Virgo to rise above the horizon, starting a 14 year journey above the horizon of the Anima Mundi ~ the alive world~ September 1980 to August 1983.
And last but certainly not least, Pluto is at 2 Capricorn, last visited between January 1762 to December of 1778, culminating a 246 year cycle.
In each case, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are starting major new stories by sign or zodiac. Major endings mark shiny and sparkling new beginnings.
Jupiter and Uranus will be at the dregs of the zodiac waiting for their turn to jump into Aries ~ to descend below the horizon to form a rebirth of sorts and enter a new hemisphere. Pluto is in a new quadrant, the fourth and enters the eastern hemisphere. Saturn is in a new hemisphere, above the horizon and enters the third quadrant.
So look at what Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are dredging up for you in your own River City of Trouble with a capital T.
In our week ahead, Mercury continues to go retrograde in earth, grounding our thoughts and asking us to delve deeper. Mercury is going to be talking the secrets out of the closet and showing them off, telling the stories. We can have ghosts from our past reappear. Sun and Mars have difficult weeks as their aspects are harsh and argumentative. Some times you have to be frustrated to really get it. Venus is actually pretty content and happy. She’s flirting with the Node of Destiny and Pallas Athena and forming a Finger of God. Venus in Gemini is the Apex of the Finger ~ moving everyone forward with the duality of choice presented by saying “Okay ~ if you want it, you have to have a plan or strategy to get there!”
Monday Moon in Capricorn has lovely closing aspects to Saturn ~ a trine ~ so projects begun today and Tuesday go great right out the box ~ yes even though Mercury is retrograde! Remember Mercury, the ruler of Saturn is retrograde as is Saturn so a double negative creates a positive. Admittedly, it is a positive that you have to check the paperwork and details on, but still a positive. Capricorn Moon will make you a bit cautious but that is okay too. Mars fights a bit with Saturn so dreams last night were kind of restless and not too happy as you were annoyed or irritated. Mercury has a trine to Pluto so a positive Grand Trine in Earth helps us create and get things out the door. Mercury works with Neptune to reveal a secret or propose something that is unusual or different. You don’t have to actually DO it. You just have to TRY it! Or only THINK about it ~ it will jumpstart your brain and get your juices going. Jupiter is inconjunct to Vesta so you need to have a master plan for organizing your house, office or space ~ one the plan is in place, you can go full steam ahead. Offer to revise the strategy. Or announce a NEW strategy as a way to get the energy moving and out into the office to create change. Some times we think we have to pick between two choices when it is obvious to everyone watching us that yet ANOTHER choice would be better. No penalties for changing your mind. At least not right now. So change it if you need to. It is a good day to get a lot accomplished. Sun has a serious disagreement with Saturn and is NOT happy ~ you have to let that light shine even IF Saturn says nope.
Tuesday, the Capricorn Moon works until mid afternoon when it migrates into Aquarius. Sun is opposite Pallas offering strategic dreams or ideas as you drift off to sleep. You can connect with your inner being via the dreams tonight. Watch who you meet today and collect cards to follow up. Venus is feeling frisky and a bit wild ~ so give her permission to fly and express her heart’s desire. Sun is square to Mars so fights can appear out of nowhere. Actually, the situation from mid-November is up and active and wanting to be resolved. So resolve it! Mercury is united with the change energy of Uranus as the Sun fights against it~ you want a change. Do you want the change to be supportive of who you are? It is a change that needs to happen. Give yourself room and permission to ask for the change you want. People are in the mood to argue, from a frustrated place, not a clear place. Sun pushes the energy forward as he calms and lights up what the lack of clarity is from. Don’t be afraid to blue sky your dream. The other people listening might be able to help you actually make it come true. You have to talk about it and work on it to get it into your life. Where you are NOW is the result of your past actions. Where you will be in the future is based on what actions you take today.
Wednesday finds the Aquarius Moon open and connecting. Closing aspect is Moon joined to Neptune so the dream you have might be bigger than the reality but it still is a positive energy. Venus makes nice connections and has pleasant words for all involved. It is a good smooze day ~ connect and chat with folks you’ve misplaced or lost touch with. Mercury facilitates connections with higher ups ~ if you’ve got a boss meeting you’ve been trying to set up or an important call to make to a contact you feel is “higher” than you, today is a good day to do so as Mercury facilitates the connection. Jupiter has an overdoing aspect tonight so there can be arguments at home over silly stuff ~ more tied to the under lying tension than about the “surface” version of the fight.
Thursday, more Aquarius Moon connection but a bit more difficult. The day gets off to a stressful start with misplaced or lost valuables that set you on edge. Neptune actually knows where they are~ you don’t. Just remember to breathe. Venus makes slightly annoyed aspects ~ overdoing where you can insult or upset others because you were careless with your words. Remember lots of thin skinned energy flying around. You may be right but if it isn’t kind, it is probably best left unsaid!
Friday finds the Moon in sensitive Pisces with nice closing aspects of a conjunction to Uranus. It is a pleasant kind of day with flowing and creative aspects galore. Tonight, Venus sextiles Mars so it is a great evening for an outing, shopping, sex, and fun, laugh filled connections with others who you find attractive. The Goddess of Love in Flirty Gemini is batting her eyelashes and cooing at the Passionate drama of Leo Mars. Mars is soon to be released from his long retrograde captivity so he’s raring to go make his mark on the world. And Venus is totally in the mood to join him, snuggled into his big strong shoulders, for a night of laughter and fun. Go for it!
Saturn’s day finds More Pisces Moon so connections are deep and profound. Moon is supportive of what your ego wants to do. There is a strategic argument between the vision and the partner you currently have. Adjust your dream of Neptune. Adjust your structure of Saturn. Mercury has harsh words for people acting in their own interest without taking the other into account. Pisces Moon can continue to fix but it doesn’t want to. Let it go. Let it drift off into the sea. This is a great day for good will releases into the charity of Pisces. You’ll be in the mood to part with quite a bit! Get those boxes out of the house before you change your mind.
Sunday finds another passel of aspects, most of them stressed. Yesterday’s strategic argument between the vision and the partner you currently have turns into a fight. Adjust. Adjust. Adapt. The afternoon is a bit of crabby energy as Mercury slows to a stop and communications are not clear or heard properly. Remember Mercury is rolling around on the ground in fixed, stable Taurus ~ not his preferred placement at all. It reminds me of my Grandmother who could not hear but refused to get new hearing aids because she could die any minute. There is a sense of stubborn. And you are NOT hearing what they are saying properly. Grandma would get all offended by what she THOUGHT she heard others say. But as she was deaf as a post, she got mad at what she imagined she heard. Double check what YOU hear today as the opportunity for miscommunication is great. Sun is irritated with or has a failure with the creative force ~ this is a great day for birth control methods to fail so double check your precautions. And, if you are TRYING to get pregnant, it is a great night to go for it as the aspects support you and the life you want to create.
Personal: Been a rough couple of weeks regarding getting everything done that needs to be done. As a result, the column slipped off the radar screen. Apolgies for the delay in posting. I hate being late!
