-My mum's catch phrase to me when I was younger.

I have a book that states Libra moons are very VERY inquisitve as children. How true!

Do you feel the moon sign in children has a lot to do with how they learn and pick up on information around them?

My thoughts are that as children are more intuitive anyway as mostly they haven't been exposed to the harsh realities of life and responsibility therefore making them react to situations and people more on an emotional and instinctual level.

Having this knowledge could also help when raising your child (and how to handle situations) and you can help them get the most out of their learning and play.

Any thoughts?

Really, I would ask WHY of everything as a small child (I guess many kids do lol), but I asked it of other kids too and it drove them NUTS
I was less like my Aries moon and more like my Virgo sun/Mercury Libra in needing to know exact reasons for everything, and why lol.

By the time the teen years kicked, the Aries moon went, Why? Who cares?! Just DO IT lol.

I know a lot of people say the moon sign is more predominant in children and I would say it was not so for me as a young child ... not at ALL. But once I hit 12 years old my moon dominated everything, and in fact continued to well into my 20's. Learning to balance it out with my Virgo sun and everything else has been a challenge

Thats really interesting MVM!

I just had an epiphany when I was chatting with someone and thought I'd post it then and there hehe
I can't remember some of the things the book said, it wasn't a lot but I haven't read it in years. But I remember reading it thinknig 'that is just me to a T'. I can post the Aries moon child if you would like to see it. I am still annoyingly inquisitive and constantly ask questions so I know everything about what's going on But then again I have Merc in Aries LOL we are like moon and mercury opposites. I think I had more issues with my Mars Scorpio conj MC (determined and stubborn) when I was little than anything else. That has been hard to balance out!

I wish my mum read this Libra moon child thing when I was little because it would have helped her understand me better.

But you are right kids naturally ask lots of questions. I will get out the book and post the exact wording so it makes more sense

quote:

Children with the Moon in Libra make friends easily. They usually begin to talk at an early age too! They will ask questions incessantly as they grow. They can be a bit absent-minded, forgetting where they have left their favourite jumper or when they took off that new pair of socks. They can also forget to put things away, and can be a bit untidy. They crave intellectual stimulation, but are sweet-natured with it. They need to be encouraged to make simple decisions for themselves as they grow.

Aries is a bit shorter

quote:

The child with the Moon in this position does not want to take no for an answer and can become a bit of a bully if not checked. You need to channel the will of the Aries child into creative or inventive puruits.

(there is more on the moon sign though, but this is the child part).

I wouldn't say my brother was a bully though or wouldn't take no for an answer (we have close moon opposition). I've blown my own argument out of the water. dammit!
To be honest his Aries moon came to light when he was a teenager around 16. Not that he was a bully but definitely more firey and quick tempered.
But as kids we were very creative as well, perhaps positively channeling the energies of this.

i think my gemini moon was suppressed as a child because at that age my parents were dominating the scene telling me how to act and what to do i was not entitled to my own opinion and could never answer back so technically i was just my sun sign cancer. Closed in shy and reserved. Then in my teens i rebelled when i got my freedom and my gemini moon came out to play.

Wow, see, I can't relate to the moon part at all. I was never a bully or even close to it...but I was bullied because I was soooooooooo shy and reserved as a small child. But again, 12 hit, and I became aggressive. Never a bully, but my mouth started flapping lol.

Willpower is another thing altogether. Along with my Taurus Mars in the 1st and Taurus rising, my mother went crazy trying to get me to do anything...I wouldn't argue, but I would dig my trenches silently and wait it out. She would scream, yell, and try to make me do something (which I would do generally, unless I saw it as unreasonable lol) to the point of hysterics. I would say she had one hell of a time wearing down my resistance, and she never could.
Once, when I was 5, she was trying to force me to drink warm milk (which I HATED) and I wouldn't...she had shoved the glass in my face and I just opened my mouth and took a big bite out of the glass. Oooh, that freaked her out well enough
That story is general tone of my childhood as far as being told what to do by her. By my grandmother was another story tho.

I associate that more with Taurus than with Aries though the Aries in me never gave in to authority just because. Respect was a major motivator.
Warm milk was not lol

When I was a child, I was my Gemini Sun(also have Mercury and Venus there)
I felt very Gemini--fun,light.
I was my Scorpio Ascendent ,too, in that I could defend myself well from other people, when need be.I was not a bully but secure in my ability to defend.
As I grew and became afraid of myself and of life, I became the Cancer moon which is non threatening.
The Cancer moon is a cream puff lol.

My moon and rising sign are both in capricorn, so I've been very capricorn like my whole life. In addition, my chart-ruler is in Scorpio and my moon aspects my pluto in scorpio, so I had vengeful tendencies on top of my reserved nature. This made me people always wonder what I was thinking....or plotting. Lol.

I'm in my 20s now, and I'm still very capricorn like, but my silly gemini sun does make an occasional appearance.

I'm a Libra moon with a Aries Asc, there's a paradox for you

As a child I was a typical Libra moon. All I wanted to do was read my books and encyclopedias, draw, paint, write and focus on my dancing (Libra's are very much into the arts. A little ballerina is very Libra)

My family pushed me to do well in school and I was lucky to have an engineer uncle, another who was self educated in the esoteric and an aunty who was an English teacher and educated in Literature and American History, I was encouraged to ask any question I had and spent many long hours talking with adults about stuff like philosophy, ancient greek mythology, science, religion, politics etc.

I started school a year early as well as uni. I'm a huge nerd, I devour books and think nothing of spending hours researching a subject I'm interested in.

If only i could put that interest as motivation for my studies hahaha

Diablo;
I am a Libra Moon/ Aries Asc too.

I GOT IN SOOOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR TALKING AND NOT PAYING ATTENTION! LOL. Everything my teachers ever wrote was about how I didn't live up to my potential.

I finally got around to that in my late 30's when I went to college. My GPA was/is (I haven't finished, need 3 Maths) 3.78

As far as the Aries Moon, my daughter was never bullyish, she was super shy, like MVM said she was. My daughter is a Pisces Sun.

My Son has a Cappy Moon, but you would never know it. He acts alot like a Scorpio, which his Sun and Asc are in, but yet, people always say he acts just like me. He has Mars in Sag, maybe it's different for the sexes???

My youngest daughter has a Pisces Moon, and OMG, she never stopssssss talking.
Some days I have burst into tears from frustration!!
I think she talked earlier than any baby on EARTH (J/K, but it was realllllly early, and her first word, was "HI!!!!!!" [She is Leo sun, btw] which she repeated non stop, morning and night. To Everybody.
Not only does she talk nonstop, but she also requires constant eye contact.
You could be doing brain surgery, and she would interupt you to look at, IDK, fuzz on her sweater.
Not looking is unacceptable. If you don't look, she will say "Mom, Mom, Mom," over and over, like a Mantra.
That girl is a TRIP!

I got into trouble for talking too much - stepping out of the line I was in, to see the teacher, to talk to someone. I have a Gemini Moon conjunct Venus, Sun in Aries, and this happened just before the __ hit the fan at home, and I slowly turned into a very quiet little girl - super shy.

I never bullied, but I was bullied a lot, as I got older. I dropped out of school, and continued my studies at home, because I couldn't take it anymore. I sort of hover at the edge of groups, because high school left me gun shy, in that respect.

I haven't lived up to my potential, either, thanks to certain things that I won't go into here. (I can't allow myself to think about it, otherwise my mood will sink again - I want that time back, but it isn't going to happen.)

GypseeWind..lol i wish I knew how the GPA was scored properly cos we have VCE (victorian certificate of education) or HSC (higher school certificate).

Yeah, I had that problem too in both primary and secondary school. And even in tertiary education. Despite being so academic, like a typical Libra moon, I'm a social person who loves being around ppl so in school, I actually didn't work that hard.
The main reason was that I was so intelligent, I was bored and just wanted to amuse myself in class. Once I got to my 2 final years of high school, I worked my butt off and got into university, but I dropped out after 1 semester, just after i turned 18.

Funnily enough, most of my friends in high school were Libra suns. We'd try to study together but in class we were too busy chatting and talking to everyone.
At work last week my friend and I were seperated cos we were the only ones talking like we actually enjoyed being at work. I couldn't believe it when they split us up and even said,
"What the hell is this? Last time I checked, high school was OVER" (and this was in Gordon Ramsey's new restaurant too hahaha)

Having such a complicated mind that can absorb much, I need constant stimulation so after I dropped out of uni, i just partied my butt off instead. I went back to school when i was 20 but have found it really, really difficult to complete this stupid degree.

I find it so hard to sit down and write an essay, whereas on here, I could write and write and write.

Could be a Libra moon thing, going back to school at a later age. I do plan on getting my masters and then taking on another degree in another field when I'm in my 30s, maybe criminal law or journalism. Or politics, that would be pretty cool.

Diablo I am _exactly_ the same! I can write and write but when it comes to studying - nup. I will spend hours reading about subjects that are really interesting to me (well my studies are interesting, but the homework/essay part isn't!) I know that one day I'll get my degree lol just not sure when!

I also did dancing for 8 years when I was little and have always done crafts. At the moment I sell handmade soap and body products on the side of working and studying (I've been working on getting this degree for about 5 years lol). Still living out the Libra moon creativity.

MVM that's uncanny regarding your Mars in Taurus - my Mars is in Scorpio in 10th conjunct MC and I had a very similar experiences with my dad, I really didn't like to eat meat and one horrible experience when I was 5 I was force fed it and it was horrible. Haven't been able to eat a roast until the last one or two years! (20 yrs later..) Very determined, stubborn and fussy. But that mars is conjunct my MC, opposite sun (in 4th conj IC), square ASC. fun times.

Ami LOL cancer moons are cream puffs but also very self-protective!

belgz I relate to that too and felt my Libra moon was suppressed (and still is to a point) by my parents. Both my parents have cancer moons (one being a cancer sun too).

Astra haha luckily my Libra moon overrode my Scorpio plotting tendencies (Mars, MC, Saturn, Pluto in Scorp) when I was younger but they have come out more as I get older and life experiences are bringing the libra-light airy fairyness back down to reality! But the Scorp tendencies are fairly controlled. I guess when Scorpio is prevelant in a chart (i.e. personal planets/angles) then there'll always be that tendency at least hidden away somewhere.

Gypsee yesss I was the same! Me and my Aqua girlfriend in high school were always getting in trouble for chatting too much .. and bringing attention to ourselves in class lol good times.
I don't know what GPA score is good but my TEE (the west australian one) was 73 shameful (though I still got into uni.. just) but I was doing harder subjcts (app. maths, physics, chemistry, language, english) not turning up to class (because visiting friends was more important) and just managing to hand my assignments in. I called essay writing the "art of bullsh**ing" because I never read one of the text books only the synopses, but got fairly good marks in english lol.

teasel (hugs) I guess that a lot of kids don't have the chance to live their moons because life forces them to grow up quickly. If you know your potential you just need to believe in yourself then take baby steps towards achieving it (use that Aries focus ) xx

Gemini moon
quote:
The Gemini child also needs a rich imaginative life and to be encouraged in artistic pursuits. The child may not have the tenacity to stick at developing artistic interests, or may abandon one interest for another, which can drive you wild. You need to persist with helping such children find an outlet for creative expression

Capricorn moon
quote:
Capricorn moon children have a reserved demeanour. They understand the value of cash from an early age, and are great hoarders of pocket money. When you run short of the milk money, they will help you out - with interest! They do not make friends easily, but the ones they do have are likely to be long-term. They need to be encouraged to express their feelings rather than bottle them up.

Cancer moon
quote:
Children with the moon in Cancer are highly impressionable and home-loving too. They need support for their intuitions about feelings as they grow. But they also need to form relationships outside the home to achieve a balanced life. They can be fearful of venturing out into new and different experiences with others. They need to be helped to do this, rather than become brooders tied to the safety and security of their home base.

I agree though about the Aries one - the only Aries mooner I know of is my brother who wasn't exactly shy (little jokester) but wasn't a bully . But when he was losing at a board game he would flip the game off the table or wipe all the pieces off the board, then want to go and do something else lol
