Do you think the Venus person could somehow be scared to give 'power' to the Pluto person (even if the person didn't want that) to the point where they act as if the Pluto person has done the deed even if they haven't?

In a Pluto opposition Venus aspect in synastry I would tend to think that the Pluto person would want the power or be scared to lose it.

Any thoughts?

rekon it might depend on the natal setup to start with .. i.e. pluto in the natals .. and its aspects ..

had the 'opposition' with a female 'friend' .. she be the pluto individual ..
my pluto did sextile her venus ..
the relationship nearly became physical .. and we were close emotionaly ..
generaly speaking .. no power-control tug of war occured between us as individuals ..
on the other hand .. both of us with major natal pluto aspects ( to personal placements ) .. suns for starters ..
although i'm a bit weightier with natal pluto aspects :-)

had just been disecting synastrys for another thread ..
and to answer a query to self regarding 'what attracts' ..
came to a conclusion earlier .. but then messed up with the method of approach
and i think my earlier conclusions are flawed .. .. need to re-do :-)

anyhow .. i noted that ..
i've pluto aspects with my close friends .. one's whose charts i know that is .. :-)
( the charts being of ppl i've known and met .. not including folk i've met online )
including both ex-romantic and platonic ..
i.e. two ways .. their pluto to a personal in my chart
and my pluto to a personal in theirs ..
the personal includes venus .. but no 'oppositions' .. so can't comment on the o.p.
( btw: nataly i'm pluto trine venus )

and can't remember any big power control issues occuring ..
( probably wouldn't still be friends if it had ;-) .. although .. who knows ..

anyhow i'm mostly comfortable with my natal pluto ..
(maybe every day has it's power control issues .. so it's 'normal' and part of life :-)

( today .. after various department phone calls and transfers .. it was all sorted in a pleasant manner ..
( took half the day though :-))

When people who have pluto in tight square to my venus/NN/mars (stellium) I often feel discomfort .
I've one friend who have her pluto in square to my venus and I really like her but I feel sometimes she must have control and know everything about me. She do not give much from her self. I also sometimes feel some discomfort and can't be my self. I can not always relax when she be in the same room. Sometimes she are fun but I never know when she must complain on me. Now I dont care about this because I like her and I know she is a kindly person.. but for me this describe hers pluto in square to my venus.

It played out differently with different people. Some of these people are my closest friends, others have betrayed my trust in a Plutonian way.

I don't think I was suspecting them of any wrong-doings...

Both of my long term exes had this aspect with me. Both great guys.. I did not feel weird giving away power at all.. but we had many other positive aspects.

My first love - was a jerk, in the end, in a Plutonian way -- and you are right I would not give an inch because I do not (and did not then) trust him as far as I could throw him.. But he had the same opposition in his chart (with Mars not Venus).

with an Aqua ex of mine who literally can't even hang out around me or be in the same room as me. Even if we are in the same room he doesn't acknowledge me, and goes out of his way to not even look at me. I sat next to him one time a few weeks ago the kid seriously couldn't even give me eye contact, and was sooooo fidgetity. He feels very awkward around me...and even claims this. He can't put his finger on it, but it's just awkward around me, and he doesn't know why. When we were together there was a LOT of passion, and intensity. And even though we were together a short time it's like we went through years of being together in 3 months lol. And even as friends there were so many passionate moments. But it kills me that he is awkward around me...whatever that means lol.

This would have to be one of our closest aspects. Actually thinkng about it, the fact that Mars is in exact conjunction with Venus and that opposes my Pluto would add a different dynamic.
Mars 0:34 Tau
Venus 0:33 Tau
Pluto 0:09 Sco
Neither of us have Pluto-Venus or Pluto-Mars aspects in our charts.

There is an unsaid intense connection. Venus is a personal planet for both of us.

I don't feel the Pluto - Mars aspect though. We've never yelled at each other or had arguments, but we have trine moons in air signs which could help with that I guess (rationalising our feelings).

You could cut the tension between us with a knife - been like that since we first laid eyes on each other. Good tension though, like a magnetism ..... and this is someone I could talk to and be oblivious to the world around when I am in his presence (My Merc conjunct the Venus/Mars which all oppose my Pluto) which is unusual for me.

Anyway it's been going on like this for a while, and my intuition is telling me he is scared of giving me 'power' by being himself and loving. Well he IS loving when he wants to be ... but it's more about respect and being equals... I hate the power plays. Like I will talk to him and open up to him and he will go cold. So I just start thinking that I am done with the games and pull away then he will start opening up and being emotional and nice and loving again (it's a vicious cycle). So if I reciprocate that as an equal - you would think him having a aqua moon he would be all into equality! (or is that more libra?? I always thought it was both of us) - and he goes cold again. I've given up now, and I hated to do this next thing but he wasn't being respectful... so I gave an ultimatum (either we sort out where we stand with each other or we don't have anything to do with each other and to sort it out before I go on holidays) which he said he would agree to, then ignored me again. So that's it we're done ... I am worried he will contact me again because I don't want to get hurt. I should be strong enough to ignore him though if he does come back. The holiday will be good to clear my head I have also started talking to someone else .. me and this guy have been in this cycle for 8 months and I think it's completely inappropriate hence why it's coming to a close. Just taken me a long time to break the bond and I've met a very special person as well. I want to make sure this is over between us before getting into anything else.

I just thought that he was acting as the Plutonian one in this and me the Venus, yet I am the one who is getting stuffed around and feeling manipulated and controlled.

So I was wondering if it was possible for each other to take on one or the other trait so it doesn't matter who is Venus and who is Pluto - the point is the aspect still plays out.

That is soooo true with Pluto Mars...I think it adds an intensity. We have had arguments...mainly only after we broke up. And it's deff true. But I'll admit the passion physically was amazing. It's not even that he was all that physically attractive...I just found him so sexy, and appealing. And we deff couldn't keep our hands off each other and would make out and get carried away in the most random of places. And deff had to guard between getting carried away to quickly. When we are around each other it's like each other is the only who who exists. It sucks because I'm trying sooooo hard to let this go. It is true everytime I think I'm done and through I feel stuff lol. I do finally think I'm done now...the last thing I did was send him a text for graduation saying congrats, and sorry for being psycho/emotional...it was pretty much due to the fact that I'm not over you/want to date you, and can't be your friend/non awkward. And good luck. OBVIOUSLY I didn't get a response lol...but at least I sent it. And said EXACTLY how I felt. It sucks really really badly. I think the worst with us was the Mercury Pluto...it could be deff cruel...and it was both ways. We said such horrible things to each other...and there were deff power struggles even if we didn't want to admit it. Someone would be vulnerable then go cold and be cruel...and it was a vicious cycle. I will admit though that I loved him very intensely (still do) and do think he is a good guy.

I'll also add with both the double sag guy, and aqua guy there were coupious pluto aspects in the natal chart. And maybe that magnified things.
