Just want a place talk/ask questions about Progressions in Synastry for any types of relationships.

Does anybody have an opinion on orbs?

Also, I feel like Progressions can show windows for when I relationship starts/or kicks into gear... do you think there needs to be a certain number of progressions for a relationship to start?

Plus, can Venus ever be negative in progressions when it's in a square aspect... say like, Natal Venus square progressed Sun?

I was asking Nine the same question about orbs in progressions.

"To be truthfully honest, sometimes, sometimes, I have no idea. Basically I think there's two kinds of attractions, the first kind wonders, "Hmmm, who is that?" With these kinds of attractions I find that the orbs are wider. I'll say 4, 5, & 6 degrees applying.

With the second kind of attractions you find yourself hand-in-hand, chest-to-chest, face-to-face with the other person. For these attractions I've observed the aspects are no wider than 3 degrees applying.

In conclusion, the closer the aspect the more intense the attraction on both sides. The wider the orb, the higher the chances of mixed messages, unrequited love, and the another swooping down and "stealing" your sweetie away."

This applies to applying aspects; once the aspect has reached exactness it loses strenght VERY quickly. In the cases I have seen it was out of range at about 00°30-1°00.

And yes, I think, one needs more than one progression for a relationship to "take off".
I had met this guy a while ago, and our meeting was really fun and exciting and I did feel a certain attraction and I think he wasn`t "dis-inclined" either, but except for that one meeting nothing happened.
We are having pretty interesting natal synastry including his Moon conjunct my Sun and my Venus trine his Mars, but at that time we only had one aspect in the progressions, his pr Venus trine my Uranus. Enough to give somehow exciting flair, but not more than this.

And yes I believe Venus can be "negative", especially in the Sun-Venus square. It seems to represent a certain block, that keeps people apart.

What do you mean?
Is this about the symbol?

Yes, I think there are two different symbols for Uranus. I do like this one though, as it has the Sun inside.

Hey DD this is what I got with the guy I have been talking about. I'm going to look at your guys tonight... I got to put them into my system than read the charts from the post (they are too small...LOL)

I can't remember what symbol ( +/-) goes with applying and separating...LOL

When we met (Sept 1998) this was what was going on...

His Prog Sun square my Natal Mars- applying 1-29
His Prog Sun square my Natal DSC/ADC- applying 1-35
His Prog Mars sextile my Natal DSC- applying 0-29
(not sure if sextiles really count)

*it just shows me that squares can be strong bind too since at this time we were very protective of each other and tied to the hip.

Now this is Feb 3, 2010- things turn romantic

His Prog Mars Trine My Natal Venus- applying 3-12
His Prog Venus Trine My Natal Neptune- applying 2-47
My Prog Sun Trine His Natal Jupiter- applying 2-31
My Prog Venus square His Natal Sun- applying 1.26
His Prog Venus Trine My Natal Sun- applying 1-20
My Prog Sun Trine His Natal Moon- applying 1-01
My Prog Mars Trine His Natal Moon- applying 0-31
His Prog Sun Trine My Natal Jupiter- separating 0-12
(jupiter is the ruler of my 7th)
My Prog Sun square his Prog Venus- separating 0-24
(his Venus is in Retro now and we have a DW Sun/Venus Trine natually)
My Prog MC conj his Prog Sun- separating 0-50
His Prog Mars conj My Natal MC- separating 0-51
My Prog Mars Trine His Natal Jupiter- separating 1-34

I know we have two Prog Venus squares... but I was thinking since we have soo many aspects going on right now that it might help with the squares.

That's a lot!
