YES Leo my grandfather was a Leo he gifted houses to his poor workers
He died before I was born  but everyone talks about his generosity even today

Thats so nice when people continue to praise your Grandfather after his passing  Yes i would agree... all the leo sun and rising signs i have met are generous to a fault! I wonder if Aquarius AC is also generous, with Leo being on DC? IP: Logged |

Tauruses I have dealt with have been hugely generous, esp materially. They had a lot of Taurus in their chart, not just their sun. My mother is a double Aqua with Leo on the Dc and she is disgustingly generous with like anyone lol. She also has a lot of Pisces as well so it's like she feels this need to give all the time. I do think Leos for the most part are VERY generous. The ones I have known are super generous because not just do they want to give but they also want to feel magnanimous and I feel it might even tickle their egos a bit to be the person who is in a position to be generous

I think the most generous is Libra, Gemini, Virgo, and Pisces. I mean, this is just from my personal observation.------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon)

Gemini, Virgo, Libra? omg i found totally the opposite lolI agree MVM - i find the fixed signs very generous. My man is taurus/scorpio/leo and he's the most caring, generous person i have met to date! It's just amazing. Aquarian moons are very generous too but i find consistently Leo is the most generous and they always do it with a smile Interesting answers!!! IP: Logged |

Nobody is um really generous..without some arseshat agenda...Especially Taurus and Pisces, it's like they give you something in order to own you in a twisted way.. It's always "Oh remember when I gave you this and that..and did this and that for you..well now I want a lil receprocation you ungrateful lil twat.." Thats why I do not accept gifts from people or allow people to buy stuff for me..if I can not afford then I obviously do not need it.. IP: Logged |

For generosity you look at the sign on the 2nd house.
Sag here is generous to a fault.Other than a specific aspect, I wouldn't think of a fixed sign as generous because they are collectors and save everything.

In honestly, I agree....though it varies across the signs. My father who has most of the same placements as me tended to pull that kind of crap in the past, but only with me. We have a double whammy Venus-Saturn opposition synastrically speaking.
I've found Taureans to be pretty giving, but that's my Jupiter sign so it could be my perception. Everyone else is pretty much 50-50. I actually had a bad experience with a Leo, who was generous in the beginning but then did a 180 after an incident where he felt 'rejected' by me. He was very aloof though so what did he expect? Anyways the story goes like this: a while after the incident, I wasted gas going to pick up him and my other friends up at 3am on Daylights Savings Time when the clocks were moving foward since they were stranded in the middle of the city (long story). Ummm, he was the only one with lots of cash and I had none and no way home since I had used up my gas getting them and driving them back to Massachussetts. You think he scratched my back after I scratched his? Heck no, it was like pulling teeth to get him to even put half of what I wasted back into my car. So yeah, Leonine can be generous....but there are conditions. Oh, and his Cancerian cousin was way nicer. IP: Logged |

I gotta speak up for Sag!
Sag is generous in spirit. No envy or sense of rivalry. It's an energy that sincerely wants everyone to flourish and be their best self, like that great teacher who saw your potential and wasn't threatened by that but supportive. It's a "more the merrier" magnanimous vibe, wishing good fortune on everyone.
Whether a particular Sag human being is like that is a whole different story though!
I've been naive about other people's generosity. When I give, it's w/o strings. (Sag on the 2nd.) My Leo Moon likes a good time and is trine my Sag Sun cnj Neptune that thinks we should all be in on the party.
The people I know with strong Leo energy have all been notably generous materially, but it does often come with a catch.
I remember years ago I was on a road trip with a big group of friends. It was the last day of the trip and I was down to nearly no money. We were at a restaurant and I only had enough cash for an appetizer but my Leo friend said to order a meal on him.
So afterwards we're leaving and I put my arm around his waist and said, "Thanks for lunch!" And he said, "Anytime. Just don't forget it."
That was such a foreign way of looking at giving to me, that I looked him in the eyes - who is this peculiar creature? - and cracked up from surprise and appreciation for his honesty. He cracked up too, laughing at his own Leo-ness and my recognition of it.
Even though that type of generosity has strings attached, it's sweet, in a way. Sag generosity is impersonal. Sag doesn't care if you remember because it's not giving in order to build a relationship. Leo gives (partly) to build a personal connection with someone, to show their warmth and have it seen by you. It's cute. IP: Logged |

I've noticed Taurean and Cancerain women to be generous with food, they will throw down on some cooking and offer dinner to the whole nieghborhood.There were these kids in our nieghborhood and you can tell that their mom did not have the time to cook a good home meal, so my sis and I made some extra food for them whenever we made dinner, whenever we could until they moved away. From what I've experienced, Taurus gives when they feel that you're theirs. If they consider you their friend or family or love, then all that they have is yours too. They feel responsible for you and will use their resources to care for you. If they have other placements in their chart which make them feel socially responsible, then they're also philanthropic.
From the other angle, part of their motivation for giving is to make you theirs. So if that dude with the Taurus Sun cnj Mars is giving you a gift out of the blue, be wary - he may be metaphorically p1ssing on you and will be hurt if you have no intention of ever being "his." Ulterior motives for generosity may be obvious to many, but I just wanted to give a heads up for other naive Jupiter-Neptune people. IP: Logged |

Well, I believe individuals with ANY chart can give selflessly. That's a spiritual maturity thing, feeling divine love in ourselves and recognizing the divine in all others. When we're like that, selfless and selfish aren't distinct any longer. Maybe the signs just describe a person's method for giving and how they experience it (personal or impersonal), regardless of whether the motive is selfless or selfish. I think a reason Leos are often so generous is because they're all about making an individual feel cherished. The spiritual Leos realize that when cherishing a person with their generosity, they're cherishing all of creation. IP: Logged |

 I've been trying to think of how I give, and whether or not I've given selfishly (I can think of a few times when I have, but it wasn't my intention - I'm too tired to explain, at the moment). My Dad likes to buy nice things for the people he loves, e.g. Mum has told me that he can always spot an outfit that will suit her. He'll browse, and visit as many stores as it takes, to find something that he thinks she will like. When he buys something, he does like it to be of good quality, of he can afford it. I try to be forgiving of mistakes - I make so many of my own, that I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't. (I might edit this out later.. I just needed distraction. I think aspects to Jupiter are pretty good indicators of generosity. Someone with a strong Jupiter by placement or aspect...I've noticed people with Moon in hard aspect to Jupiter to be generous to a fault!IP: Logged |
