Topic: How to deal with Mars energy?

Hello Knowflakes!I was wondering if any of you could give me some advice on how to deal with Mars energy.
My Mars is not prominant in my chart, but my solar return this Wedensday shows a TON of mars energy for this year. Especially solar return Mars conjunct natal ascendent. Everything I read tells me to beware of accidents, cuts, burns, etc...
which is not very comforting. I can already feel it! It feels like a build up of something inside me that I need to get out. Somtimes I feel like I'm about to explode with emotion. My temper is so quick these days and I am SO quick to get angry. It's like I automatically react by fighting any thing, person, or situation that is opposing me. It's very strange for me to feel like this and I don't know how to channel all this energy into something productive. I feel like I have bounds of energy inside me, even if my physical body is worn out and tired. I'm so jumpy all of a sudden. I'm usually a very calm person. I'm going to try to meditate and do Yoga but I feel like I wouldn't be able to even make it through the class. I don't want all this pent up negative energy inside me to manifest in my life as negative events or situations. Any suggestions on releasing this negative energy? Has anyone had experience with a lot of Aries in their chart, or strong Mars forces? How do you deal with feeling like you are fighting the world all the time? Thanks so much! Gem IP: Logged |

perhaps you'll have a lot more energy that you're used to..mars in leo is all about self-empowerment and going for what you want and being clear about your desire. if you've had any issues being self assertive or putting yourself first, now is the time where you will be challenged to do so. the key is to direct and focus the energy. mars will rule the first house and the 9th house so your self image and your philosophy and worldview may be the areas that are being challenged. hope that helps... if you want can you post the chart and i'll look at it. -exercise
-lots of water
-saying how i feel otherwise head will explode. you need to be able to express when youre upset or disagree with something.

Mars is the ruler of Aries, 1st house.
Rather than looking at Mars in your natal, look at where you need to express your energy, house 1.Look at the sign, maybe it's placement (if you want to be detailed) and transfer that energy from one thing to another. Example, you are Gemini rising...express that energy (house 1) through reading (Gemini on 1st) IP: Logged |

Thank you everyone for the great advise!
I'm still trying to get a handle on all this energy and there are so many moments the past few days where I feel like people are trying to walk all over me, so I definitely feel the Leo wanting to roar back. My solar return is tomrrow and I also have moon conjunct Uranus in my 4th house and everything around me is breaking. Air conditioner, laundry machine, faucet, etc. I feel like I'm living murphys law here! So between mars conjunct ascendent in my first house and moon conjunct Uranus, I feel a bit nervous about
my life right now. My natal and solar return ascendent is in Leo in addition to mars conjunct ascendent in the 1st is a lot of "self" concentration. I've alway been on the quiet passive side so Self empowerment is definitely something I need some lessons in! Thanks again for the replies!  IP: Logged |

I have Mars conjunct my SR ASC this year too and I FEEL IT. I'm an Aries rising and this is the first time I've really identified with Mars energy to this extent. I'm about half way through the year and exhausted from it. Nothing awful has happened but I have had a lot of issues with my will power (esp. with regards to other people in my life), feeling constantly on edge/anxious/somehow overly energized. I just started running in the hopes of getting some of this out of me because I feel like this kind of energy and in these amounts can only drive me crazy. So far running has been great, I think Mars responds well to movement/action and NO THINKING. IP: Logged |

Sez this Mars in Capricorn in the 8th who is also a Sun in Aries....Find constructive and creative outlets for your energy. I really agree with some of the suggestions posted above. IP: Logged |

Exercise, most definitely. I know this, and yet I rarely do it as much I used to (I kept getting sick). I love feeling too exhausted - in a good way - to stress too much over anything that isn't an emergency. (I'm an Aries Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, with my Mars in Pisces trine Uranus/ascendant, square my Moon/Venus/Nodes.) IP: Logged |

I was reading that thread about Mars in the 1st, especially close to the Ascendent and scarring which made me wonder about solar returns with that placement.Anyone think that would be predictive for something during the year? I read quite a few things that talked about being accident prone with Mars in the 1st house and conjunct asc. IP: Logged |
