I'm just wondering how this would be?
this guy i have been seeing who is a strong plutonian type- his ex is a libra with taurus moon. I myself am a cap with gemini moon and aquarius venus. He is a cap with sag moon and aquarius venus. So my question is....
him and his ex have venus conjunct pluto in libra while he and i have venus trine pluto. His asc is pisces and mine is taurus. Hers is gemini. Knowing that venus conjunct pluto synastry is strong- what i want to know is how is it when its supposed to be over? Or can it ever be over? Squared suns are a challenge enough but can people with venus conjunct pluto ever be done with each other?

"...with venus conjunct pluto ever be done with each other?"

In my experience ANY Pluto is really never over...for better or worse. It takes much to pry those two people apart. And even if they are indeed apart then it will hurt like heck...and most likely end up in quiet (or loud) obsession or utter disgust, as ALL Pluto operates in an all or nothing manner.

I had the Conjunction in Scorpio with a double Sag ex and LITERALLY it took me two years to get over him. It was horrible. However other Pluto aspects can do this as well. I have a recent Aqua ex (and trust me you know Pluto is strong when you can get an Aqua with Virgo Moon, and Cap Venus/Rising to admit he doesn't want you to leave him and that he's obsessed with you) and we only have Venus Quintile Pluto...BUT we have a double whammy Sun/Pluto, Mer/Pluto, and Mars Pluto (which includes an Opposition from Mars.)

I'm having a VERY hard time letting go, and to be honest I don't want to. Even now both of us are playing games to even the score with each other (he blocked me on a website we go on because I made my posts private unless you're in my contacts, and he thought I blocked him...obviously I didn't lol). Well he proceeded to block me as well lol. So talk about trying to play a game. And we haven't even talked in like three weeks.

So that right there shows that Pluto in general can be VERY strong...what other Pluto aspects do you and this guy? What about him and her?

I don't see the big deal of sq suns. Sq Moons are a bigger challenge.

I had an exact sq of Venus/ Pluto with my ex husband (I was Pluto)... relevant to remember here that this is a generational aspect. EVERYONE in his generation will square his Venus, which you might keep in mind. Pluto/Venus is not really all that if you're in the same age range. It's highly overrated imo. Of course I still have problems with that relationship/past marriage. But it's an accumulation of things, not just Pluto alone. It was Saturn, Mars, and the B@stard himself.

We also had an almost exact sun trine. But things sucked. So it had to end. I say this because I don't really understand your question. What do you mean, how do you know if it ends? It ends. One of you ends it since both of you are in the relationship. If he and his ex are not over, it's got less to do with their astro aspects and more to do with maturity level.

PS - post the charts if you like, to get some additional feedback. Just good to keep in mind that the astro stuff will pick up on nuances but won't determine 100% who is meant to be with who, etc., or who's in love.

I will post the charts in a bit.
my concern is that i don't want to be in the shadow of anyone. I think that at this point he wants to remain friends with her but i know that their relationship was full of turmoil (we have mutual friends). She wants all or nothing but he doesn't get it. (venus in aquarius) Now ordinarily, he would not be someone i would consider trying to have a relationship (too much drama...) but the attraction is undeniable. We both came out of relationships where we were dealing with alot of squares and everything with us is easy and mutual.

I was dating a guy six months ago who had venus conjunct pluto double whammy with his ex....the orbs were very wide for both of them..something like 9 or 10 degrees but my god.....we split up because it was so obvious to me that he still harboured obsessive feelings for his ex and her for him. I investigated further after I split with him and it turns out her scorpio moon was conjunct his pluto aswell.....I could never have competed there....should have checked all the charts before I agreed to get involved with him lol. But to answer your question about pluto contacts.....If the orb is very tight...as in one degree or less and the aspect is hard then I believe that the tie between the two individuals in question is unbreakable....Let's face it..pluto moves soooo slowly that we have to keep the orbs tight on this one. But please do post all the charts, I' love to take a look.

Ive just taken a quick look at their basic natal synastry (ie him and her)....theres a lot of helpful mercury aspects between them:

Her sun trine his merc
Her merc sextile his moon
Her merc trine his saturn
Her merc conjunct his uranus
Her merc trine his jupiter

Her way of communicating and her conversation lit up a lot of his planets?

As for the pluto contacts between them:

Her Sun conjunct his pluto

( I had this with a guy who was obsessed with me for years)..... His pluto on my sun also in libra....

Her pluto is trine his mercury and trine his venus both orbs are just over 3 degrees...to be honest...imo they're not tight enough to warrant much pluto intensity...plus trines are nice and flowing so that energy again wouldn't be as intense as the harsh aspects.

Regardless of their birth times they're moons are square and her mars is opposing his moon....good for sexual chemistry....she has the upper hand here that's for sure. But im doubtfull here because the orbs are not tight on any of there aspects......

As for you and him: Your moon is trine his pluto, Your mars is square his pluto, I would consider that 5 degree orb square between your mars and his pluto quite binding and obsessive.

You two have a lot of tight synastry which him and his ex don't have.

Theres a lot of uranus aspects leaping out there, tight orbs and hard aspects....sexual attraction a go go. lol

Your neptune is on his moon and your moon is opposed his neptune. You are honest with him.....sometimes he may not be completely honest with you... Your ceres makes trines to his sun, venus and merc and a conjunction to his pluto..you mother him a bit? Id say thats part of his atraction to you. All in all I think the sexual chemistry that you share with him is better than what he had with his ex...they only had wide orb pluto trine aspects....not that exciting really lol. Are those birth times all pm???

{{in my boxing referee voice}}}....the winner is...!!! j/k lol

all birth times are pm.
the sexual attraction is amazing! i know for myself that that kind of attraction is hard to come by. she is ruled by mercury (what is sexy about that??) and i am ruled by venus & jupiter while he is ruled by neptune. makes for a better match i would think. a mercurial relationship would seem boring to me nonetheless, even me with my gemini moon and aquarius venus. if you noticed, check to see where our north nodes are. i know that they are in each other's 8th house. plus my juno in his 8th house. his lilith is widely conjunct my sun.

His eros is trine your psyche = fabulous!
His sun, venus and merc all sit near and on your mc.....planets to angles is very powerful in synastry...this looks good.

Even more amazing is his sun/moon midpoint at 11 cap is conjunct your sun at 12 cap....how nice is that...according to cafeastrology website, they consider hard aspects between the luminaries of one partner and the sun/moon midpoint of the other to hold the heighest weight in synastry analysis.

Your sun/moon lands in his seventh house at a 4 degree orb to his descendant. I think that you would be a good partner for him, his moon is on his own ic...he needs security and values it. I think he will stick with you. That moon is opposing his saturn....he craves security big time....maybe his parents didn't give him enough love and affection...

On the topic of Venus/Pluto synastry contacts, I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the semisquare. Was it noticable or not a strong pull at all?

I was also curious about anyone who may have experienced Pluto opposite chiron and how it may have manifested in the relationship? Also Pluto opposite mars. I had a guy in my life and we had:

My sun conjunct his Pluto
My Pluto square his merc
My Pluto opposite his mars
My Pluto square his moon
My Pluto opposite his Chiron
My Venus semisquare his pluto
My asc sextile his Pluto
My Pluto conjunct his Uranus

Not sure if I will ever get past it...

"I was also curious about anyone who may have experienced Pluto opposite chiron and how it may have manifested in the relationship? Also Pluto opposite mars?"

I have that with a recent ex...oh boy I am trying soooooo hard to get over him. I miss him tons, and I'll admit it sucks big time lol. I'm actually thinking of calling him.

Cappy1277
"She wants all or nothing but he doesn't get it. (venus in aquarius)"

I have a Taurus Venus BUT its in the 11th house...and I TOTALLY get your bf lol. I have an ex that won't be friends with me and he's an Aquarius...he wants all or nothing lol. And I also don't get it. Even with my Moon Square Pluto I STILL don't get it lol. But he does have Venus Sextile Pluto...so that might be it.

and i totally get it too with my venus in aquarius. i just explained to him that sometimes it can't be that way and you can't expect everyone to feel the same way. i personally don't choose to stay friends because i always seem to pick up the ones that have a hard time letting go.

A 5 degree orb for Pluto?
N e v e r.

Well, okay, sometimes, but let`s get to the real core of it.
It is exactly as MVM said, so many people of one generation will make that aspect to someone`s Venus. Hardly an individual one.
Interestingly it would be more individual (rare) for the Pluto-person, as Venus moves a lot faster.

Anyway, I DO think that Venus-Pluto can be very significant, if

- in close orb (max. 2 degrees, rather 1,5 degrees)

- part of a closed circuit

- also tightly aspects by a natal planet in the same chart.

Example:
PErson A has Venus square Pluto natally
Person B has Sun square Pluto natally.
A`s Venus and B?s Sun are conjunct and t hus squaring both Pluto`s.

I would take such a case more serious as if there was just an isolated Venus-Pluto trine of 5 degrees.

Does it ever end? Well, does it?
On the outside, yes, probably there can be a "going separate ways".
Does it mean people are separated on the inside, too, meaning, not thinking of each other, not harboring any kind of feelings or even a fondness for memories?
I think it depends on each person individually, and their "relating style" and if they tend to hold on to the past or just move into the future.

Personally, for me (having Venus Pluto square natally), it`s usually never completely over.
But you learn to live with it and move on.
Nothing wrong about having feelings for someone, even if you cannot be together or are not good for each other.
I find it easier to move on, when I accept that.

Well the Pluto aspects inclined me to call my ex (stupidly lol) and tell him I missed him haha. Obviously it didn't go well. First off he didn't know it was me due to the fact that he has a new phone or deleted my number either way (he said he had a new phone). I asked him how he was and we chatted for a bit, and then I went into a VERY awkward convo...about how I figured out why he couldn't be my friend (and how I realized that it wasn't that he hated me), and that if I go to grad school in an area closer I'd like to try because I miss him. Yeah, he stayed silent. And I asked if it made him feel awkward, and he had said no it wasn't,or if he was dating anyone, and he said no he had just been busy. And then he was like yeah...I gotta go a friend is waiting on me. Anyway it's fine. I got closure, I even added jokingly that he should unblock me from yahoo answers and he was like whatever. I gotta go.

So it's cool. I guess I thought that he still somewhat cared for me because he blocked me because he thought that I blocked him, so that would show that he does care somewhat. OR he just didn't want to deal with seeing my answers lol.
