I am thinking if you have a strong Mars and /or Pluto--you can get yourself where you need and want to go in life. My parents BOTH have their Pluto's conjunct my Cancer Mars.It felt like a relationship you should run away from but couldn't I have Scorpio ASC, Pluto sextile the Sun and sextile Mercury ,conjunct the MC and trine the NN. This should be enough of power drive to get me where I need to go.Am I right in seeing it this way? What are people's experience with their Mars/Pluto(positive and negative) in terms of being able to manifest your power and drive i.e go after what you want in life.
Thanks so much

Hey Ami Ann,I have Mars conjunct Pluto In Scorpio in the 10th house. I usually don't feel very aware this placement. Someone once told its because I never have to consciously utilize it, it's always on 24/7 more or less. I think some people find me to be intense, but it's usually because I'm keyed into their BS. I have no tolerance for BS and if I feel like someone is being a nuisance or completely ridiculous my energy shifts into a cold wall pattern and I shut them out and don't even bother with accommodating their behavior. As far as drive is concern...I think I am driven to succeed in life. I'm driven to do the research and do the time. I don't usually quit, even if I'm failing. The idea of failing makes me go into overdrive to succeed and most times I'll come out on top. One thing I've learned from life is that success isn't everything. Having what others have doesn't always promise happiness. Getting every job or gig means nothing if it isn't what you truly want. As I follow my heart my power increases. I hope that was helpful. Feel free to ask questions if you want more specifics on my experiences. IP: Logged |

I'm really glad you started this topic! I've been thinking about Mars and Pluto a lot both natally and in synastry. I feel like I'm inclined to avoid these energies, I guess in neither case are they really pleasant or comfortable, but feel like lately I am getting forced to confront them in various situations. I am curious about it in synastry too...I have it with someone I know but find the energy difficult to describe, and as always with aspects, hard to isolate. I am told I have a really strong Mars- at 0 Scorpio in the 7th. But I have a lot of Mars issues and am not totally attuned to it yet. I am stubborn though. And I do feel like when I want something, I can get it no matter what. Its not so much a confidence thing as it is that I feel like I can bite down on something really hard and just not let go. Kind of vicious sounding I know, lol, but I guess that's Scorpio. Sometimes I feel like this can get obsessive or narrow minded though. I also have a Merc/Pluto conjunction in Scorpio and am not always comfortable with the fact that I often form my goals and pursue them quietly if not secretly for a long time without falter, which often ends up feeling obsessive to me. Sometimes I wish I could just openly declare my wants and desires, put it all out there, and be at peace with what comes. I know Scorpio can be super picky and thats definitely in there too. I have a lot of Sag/Jupiter/Uranus rampant in my chart and am not very committal and I feel like my Scorpio influences sometimes add to that with an air of choosiness. But when I do I set my eyes on something I want, I form a really deep desire for it, more often than not keep it a secret (this is most comfortable anyway), and pursue it quietly/obsessively for a as long as I need to. I think part of it also has to do with pride, which again, feels Scorpio to me. I have to say though- whenever people say "power" related to Scorpio or Pluto, I'm not totally sure what this means. That term feels very abstract to me. Also I tend to associate it with status which doesn't feel like the same kind of Plutonian energy to me? I don't know..."control" feels more appropriate to me somehow. IP: Logged |

I am so glad this topic resonated with you JChristine and Staborgi. My Cancer Mars is it's own issue but does not seem that hard to deal with . It is an impotent, indirect Mars and needs to get more drive behind it.This seems kind of simple. The hard thing is Pluto .Saturn is thwarting Pluto, I think. I am new to astrology so just starting to figure things out. I have a Scorpio ASC conjunct Saturn. Pluto and Saturn seem to be fighting for dominance--if I have it right. I am open to opinions if I don't. Then, I have Pluto on the MC. So, the insecure ASC(me) is fighting with the bold me--MC. I have Pluto sextile the Sun and Mercury which is a strong use of Pluto and an accessible one-if I try . Pluto trine the NN must be Pluto helping me to get where I need to go. For me--experientially--Pluto hurts. I have been comfortable expressing my fragile Cancer moon since my teens. The Cancer Mars did not help. My parents thwarting my Mars energy by BOTH of their Plutos conjuncting it further pushed it down and made me afraid of my own power. By power,I mean-the strength of your core self.My goal is to have my core self be able to stand alone--trusting in it's own integrity,it's own sense of things. Ami

A guy that went to our school called Cephas Howard had Pluto conjunct Mars and was a rediculously fast runner. The school i went to was also previously attended by the famous 400m runner Roger Black. Cephas broke all the records set by Roger! Cephas was the fastest runner in the U.K for 100m, 200m, and 400m, for the age group above his one lol. All his national records still stand to this day and they were set over 20 years ago. He had Pluto exactly conjunct Mars in Libra, but i don't know his time so don't know the houses. He was white btw, not black, and was really skinny. Watching him run was actually amusing he was so fast. He was the fastest kid in the school at 12/13 even though there were 18 year olds there lol.IP: Logged |

It seems that wherever Pluto hits you--you must bow. If he gives you Trines and sextiles--he gives you usable power as Vapor and Aries said. If you get squares and oppositions---you must muster all your force to overcome. Conjunctions would go either way---I would think. My parents Plutos exactly conjunct my Cancer Mars put it in to shell shock but I think it can come out now that I know what happened. Has anyone dealt with Pluto/Mars conjunctions and oppositions in synastry? How was that? x o x Ami IP: Logged |

Ami -- A few important people in my life have Mars in Scorpio conjunct my Pluto, including family and past/current romances. I like the dynamic! It feels mutually supportive and there is understanding on a deep level. But I think it depends on the Pluto person's psychological maturity. I have a well-placed Jupiter trine Pluto so I try to be very ethical in the way I "use" my Pluto. IP: Logged |

Sure, Dynamite You know--it is amazing how you feel things. When I looked at the chart ---I knew there must be something and there it was lol. He is a Sag sun,Libra ASC, and Libra Mars(which surprised me) cuz he seems Scorpio--like. I would have guessed Scorpio Mars. Maybe the Pluto conjunct moon gives a Scorpio feel to a person. I will e mail it. Ami PS It is really funny cuz my Neptune is on his ASC. He would always say I was his perfect type of woman. I guess Neptune explains it. Girls, I guess we should make sure ALL our guy's charts have a good dose of Neptune in the right place . IP: Logged |

Hi Ami.. I just emailed you. Have a look quickly. You used the year wrongly - He actually has an Aries Mars. But he has Libra Moon and Libra AC. Aquarius Venus trine your Gemini Venus.. and Gemini Jupiter (which is great since Jupiter is the dispositor of his Saggy Sun). IP: Logged |

Vapor If you are still reading this thread--want to hear the strangest thing? I put in the new chart --with the right date -and my Neptune is STILL on his ASC. He tells me--to this day--that I can do things that would drive him crazy if other people did --and it is OK. IOW-he sees me through rose colored glasses i.e.Neptune. Another really interesting thing is HIS Venus is on MY Chiron. I teach him deeper things about life. Your Venus is on my Chiron. You showed me several things I needed to see. His Sun is conjunct my NN. I have shown him a spiritual path. I am still studying the proper synastry. x o x Ami

This its totally amazing. I just figured out my life problem by doing a synastry of both of my parents charts with mine. I wrote about both of their Pluto's conjuncting my moon but THIS part explains the rest Both of their Neptunes are conjunct MY Pluto. I had to buy lies and lies and lies until I finally went numb. They took my powerhouse--Pluto--and put deception on it. Ami PS I am thinking that any really significant relationship in life will have Pluto in a dominant way. This is just a theory but Pluto cannot be dismissed. It revolutionizes you in some way--for good or bad.

The Chiron-Venus thing is really interesting. Plus - His Venus is trine your own Venus. That means your natal Chiron in Aquarius is already trine your own Venus - right? quote: Your Venus is on my Chiron.
lol No.. My Chiron is on your Venus. I really think you and my mum would be best friends if you met. It's just strange how good your synastry is. Her Moon/NN is in the same spot conj your Venus. And her Venus is in Libra - trining. quote: His Sun is conjunct my NN. I have shown him a spiritual path.
With Sun-NN - there should be something about his overall behavior & personality that leads *you* down the spiritual path you are meant to take in this life time. It's also interesting that his Jupiter is in Gemini. Is this conjunct your SN? That sounds like the best of both worlds. quote: Both of their Neptunes are conjunct MY Pluto. I had to buy lies and lies and lies until I finally went numb.
That's an interesting one. Neptune and Pluto are "friendly" planets - both transpersonal, both ruling water signs.. BUT anything has its dark side. I could definitely see the Plutonian quest for reality and ultimate justice being flustered by the Neptunian tendency towards escapism, lies - and failing to face up to harsh realities. Pluto's reaction when things go wrong is to self destruct taking everything down with it. I think this is why you feel you became numb-cold. IP: Logged |

I guess I can hijack my own thread . I can really see how Neptune on the ASC plays out. I went out last night with the Sag guy. He is typical Sag--fast driver etc. He drives slowly and respectfully for me-Cancer planets don't like to drive fast lol. This is the first time I have had an ACTUAL sense of how Neptune plays out.Neptune is like a fairy tale lens. Now, I will try to apply it to the many Neptune aspects in my own chart. Thank you (((Dy-na-mite--ee)) Your insight rocks! Ami
PS Have you ever had a similar Neptune in synastry--Dy-na-mite or anyone who is reading ? IP: Logged |
