When I study my Natal Chart, most of the houses (the planets in and rulers) have hard aspects.1st house or ASC: Saturn 90 ASC Mercury 180 ASC Chiron 0 ASC (the head) Moon 150 ASC 2nd house (no planets): Ruler of 2nd, Pluto has 90 with cusp of 2nd: bad! 4th house (no planets): Ruler of 4th, Saturn in opposite sign, Cancer and has 180 to the cusp of 4th. There is explanation, when the ruler of 4th (home country) in exile is, the person is not happy in home country. Happiness is somewhere else. 5th house (with the Moon): Ruler of 5th, Uranus 90 Moon: bad! 6th house (with Mercury): Ruler of 6th, Neptune 180 Mercury: bad! 7th house (with the Sun): Ruler of 7th, Mars 90 Sun: bad! 10th house (with Mars, Saturn and Pluto): Ruler of 10th or MC, the Moon has 120 MC and Saturn. That should be good, but at the moment I don't feel it. 12th house (with Neptune): Ruler of 12th, Mercury 180 Neptune: bad! 9th house (with NN and Uranus): IT IS THE BEST HOUSE FOR ME! NN in 9th means luck in abroad. NN in 9th means also life beside the border. I live beside the border but there are mountains between us. NN in 9th means that help for me comes from foreigners or people have lived in abroad. NN in Gemini in 9th is good for foreign languages what one of my hobbies is. As the ruler of my 5th (joy, love and romances) Uranus in 9th is: my love was always in abroad or with foreigners. Somebody wrote: as Uranus and NN have 120 Jupiter in the 1st, I will meet foreigners in abroad. That is right again: in Germany I met Austrian (not only him); in Canada I met a man from Cairo, Egypt and more. 8th house (with Venus): Maybe somebody has seen that I write about love (Venus) and about death (Venus in 8th). If you see somewhere any GREAT LOVE, it is from me. How about you, where is your luck? B.

I think in Indian astrology the 9th house, if unafflicted, is considered the house where you can find happiness, the house of "karmic rewards". In my own chart:
my 1st house is not "unhappy", but there is so much energy in there, that the stress sometimes is too much. ASC in Sagittarius conjunct Mars, Neptune and NN. ASC sextile Pluto. ASC square Jupiter (actually there is a mutual reception and nearly exact square between Jupiter in Pisces and Neptune in Sagittarius, and with Neptune on my ASC and NN, it becomes personalized. It`s not a painful thing, but the tendency of "overdoing" is clearly there- Jupiter squares are never as harsh as Saturn, Uranus and Pluto-squares though). Sun conjunct Mercury on GC in my 1st house with no challenging aspects. Venus in Capricorn in 1st house is pretty challenging, maybe my most challenging planet, but it is pretty much at the end of my 1st house.
2nd house: Moon in Aquarius in there. Ruler of 2nd house is retro Saturn in Cancer in 8th house - both are in house-reception (ruler of 2nd in 8th, ruler of 8th in 2nd) and have an exact inconjunct. 3rd house: Jupiter in Pisces in there. Aquarius at the cusp with Uranus in Scorpio on the cusp of 11th house with no challenging aspects. Pisces is intercepted and Neptune sits on the ASC. So there is actually a reception of 1st and 3rd house - you can`t get one without the other. There are of course Jupiter and Neptune squares attached to them, but somehow they are more significant of "creative chaos" than really hurtful, even though there ARE drawbacks to these aspects. 4th house: Ruler of 4th house in Sagittarius in 12th house, conjunct Neptune, NN and ASC. IC widely opposes Pluto and squares Venus. Chiron is in here, too, squaring Saturn. So the 4th house is not as easy.
5th house: Ruler of 5th house in Capricorn in 1st house, squaring Pluto (which rules 11th and 12th house) and MC. Cusp of 5th house exactly opposing Uranus. So not a smooth house again.
6th house: Ruler of 6th house in Capricorn in 1st house, squaring Pluto and MC. 7th house: DESC opposes Neptune and Mars, conjuncts SN, trines Pluto, squares Jupiter. Ruler of 7th house in Sagittarius in 1st house on the GC conjunct Sun (ruler of my 9th house) exactly. This is actually one of the more harmoniously aspected houses in my chart. You should think that with the ruler of 7th house in 1st house exactly conjunct Sun in Sagittarius, and DESC in Gemini. I should have been married at least once or twice and have had numerous relationships, but I haven`t. 8th house: Ruler of 8th house in 2nd house and inconjunct Saturn. Saturn in 8th house (rules 2nd house), trines Jupiter in 3rd, which rules 1st house. Inconjunct Moon. 9th house: Cusp in Leo. no planets in there. Ruler of 9th house in Sagittarius in 1st house on the GC, exactly conjunct Mercury, which rules my DESC and intercepted Virgo in 9th house. Virgo intercepted, means that the second ruler of 9th house is MErcury, and this one is conjunct Sun, so both 9th house rulers are exact conjunct. So far I think that may be the smoothest house in my chart.
10th house: MC in Libra, conjunct Pluto, square Venus, sextile Mars. Ruler of 10 in Cappy in 1st house squaring Pluto and MC. Pluto in 10th squaring Venus and sextile Neptune, NN, Mars and ASC. Not an easy house.
11th house: Scorpio at the cusp. Uranus conjunct the housecusp exactly. Ruler of 11 in Libra in 10, squaring Venus and MC, sextile Neptune, NN, Mars and ASC. 12t house: Scorpio at the cusp: ruler of 12 in Libra in 10, squaring Venus and MC, sextile Neptune, NN, Mars and ASC. Mars in Sag in 12th, conjunct Neptune, ASC, NN, sextile Pluto, square Jupiter.
If we consider the ancient rulers, the ruler of my 12th and 11thhouse (Mars) also is in 12th house. the old ruler of my 3rd house (Saturn and Jupiter) are in 8th and 3rd house. All three placements make sense to me, too. Anyway, I think the only really harmonious house is the 9th house for me, too. The 7th house is pretty positive, too, as is the 3rd house.

Hi DD,That was very nice from you: typical YOU! About your 7th house: I would look Venus as well, as Venus brings luck or no luck. --I think in Indian astrology the 9th house, if unafflicted, is considered the house where you can find happiness, the house of "karmic rewards".-- About Indian Astrology: they say that my Venus in 9th is good for me. It brings some luxurias life for me. Hmmm. Maybe in the next life! I didn't mention my 3rd and 11th house: 3rd house (no planets): Ruler of 3rd is Jupiter R in the 1st. Jupiter 90 Saturn (the hardest aspect). Jupiter 0 ASC Jupiter 0 Chiron Jupiter 120 Uranus Jupiter 120 NN 11th house (no planets): Ruler is Sun in 7th. Sun 90 Mars Sun 90 Pluto Sun 150 Neptune (the worst aspect for the health, as Neptune is in 12th) Sun 60 MO (I had it all the time until 2 years ago). There are also good aspects: Venus 60 Mars (8th and 10th) Venus 120 Neptune (orb, 9 degrees) - I am Venus-Neptune person. Mercury 60 Uranus Mars 0 Pluto (in 10th) Mars 60 Neptune Mars 120 Mercury Neptune 60 Pluto (many people have that aspect). NN 0 Uranus (9th). Now there are four kinds of houses (sorry, I can’t remember the name of the houses): 1st, 5th and 9th - Jupiter, Chiron, Moon, Uranus and NN. 2nd, 6th and 10th - Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Pluto. 3rd, 7th and 11th – SUN (I am not very sociable person) 4th, 8th and 12th – Venus and Neptune. B. p.s. DD, you have enough time for 7th house IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree, Venus plays a role, too, even though personally I think the rulerships are dominant, and Venus will play her role particularly in the house she rules or is placed in, which is in my case 1st, 5th, 6th and 11th house.I am not too worried about my 7th house actually. I was always a little bit different in this regard. I have a friend who has never been without a relationship. It would make me feel like I am being suffocated. Well, Gemini on 7th house cusp with ruler in Sagittarius would explain this. Personally I think there are no exclusively good or bad planets / placements / aspects; there are more shades in life than black and white. Venus isn`t good per se, as Saturn is not bad per se. But that is only my personal view.

Hi DD,I know that you don't worry about your 7th house. I don't care about my 7th house, either. I wanted to show here, how rulers attacking planets in their houses can influence the life. In fact they are negative. If the ruler of my 7th, Mars has square to the Sun in 7th: here is all clear. Two years ago one Medical Astrologer has explained my 7th house. He told me, that we, women with Sun square Mars are so strong that men run away from us. No man has run away. The truth is: I don't leave to any man to use me or make me some damage. In that case I am very strong. From other side my Mars is my healer as it has good aspect to the ruler of 6th, Neptune. He told me what that is, but is not for this Topic. There are many people with much more squares and opposition than I have and they are luckier than I am. My Natal Chart looks good on the first sight until I look the rulers of the houses, where they are and how much damage they can do. I have list of aspects by Astrotheme, where are also Quintiles and Biquintiles. Quintiles are very important. Mars Quintile ASC Venus Quintile Pluto Sun Quintile Saturn Jupiter Quintile Pluto Moon BiQuintile Jupiter Venus BiQuintile Jupiter DD, do you do Vedic Astrology? I have posted question in Vedic Astrology Forum: where is my Venus Dasha (started end of 2004). Astrologer told me, I still have 14 years time as Venus Dasha runs for 20 years. B. IP: Logged |

I once looked at Vedic astrology, but never got into the Dashas.Anyway, what you wrote about Mars-Sun and how you will not let anyone use you is a perfect example that squares are not ONLY challenging and bad. They can give a lot of energy and strength, even though they tend to do TOO MUCH. And I definitely see differences between challenging aspects of different planets. A Jupiter square feels completely different to a Saturn square. Even a Saturn inconjunct can be pretty painful (My Moon could tell you long stories about that). Like you I also consider the rulerships to be very significant. Definitely. I am not really rejoicing about the fact that the ruler of my 6th house falls into my 1st house and squares the ruler of my 12th house. *sighs* I guess I was born to be hypochondric. lol BTW my Moon is exactly quintile my Mars; I am not completely sure what that means (but it is one of my closest aspects), but I guess it gives me a little bit of emotional strength, when needed most.

DD,I am totally stupid about Vedic Astrology. I don't understand that Astrology at all. I know only, that my first Dasha was Jupiter Dasha for 16 years. There is the point about my pains, starting after 16th birthday. I go there for a fun. I like the questions: will my marriage be love marriage or arranged marriage? The parents of two children visit Astrologer and see how is going on in the marriage of their children. In that case I can take Natal Charts (Western Astrology) from two children, male and female and see, will there be love or not. B. IP: Logged |

Thank you (((B))) My ASC is Scorpio with Saturn Conjunct the ASC. The 7th house has Taurus on the cusp with Venus in it. I like this house. I like to have people over , make nice meals and play music for them lol.The 8th house has Gemini on the cusp. It has Gem Sun, Gem Merc and Cancer moon in it. I like this house cuz it forces me to be a deep person . The 9th house has Cancer on the cusp and Uranus and Mars in it. I love the 9th house cuz it is a way to escape and overcome the world by learning . The 10th house has Leo on the cusp with Pluto conjunct MC and Jupiter in it. I like Pluto conjunct MC cuz it keeps me honest i.e good reputation LOL. The 12th house has Libra on the cusp with Neptune in it. My Neptune is aspected by every planet but the moon. I have a love /hate relationship with Neptune. I am psychic but sometimes I wish I had a heavier outer coat to wear in life LOL. I bet you know that that feels like B ! Ami PS My NN is in the second house with Sag on the cusp. It describes what I need perfectly. I need the Sag zest for life and courage.I need the 2nd house's comfort with the material world since I have no earth in the chart Pluto trines the NN so that should be a gift lol!

Hi Ami"I am psychic but sometimes I wish I had a heavier outer coat to wear in life LOL." I don't know what do you mean to be psychic with Neptune in 12th. I have Neptune also in 12th and can see less than I should (Neptune - Fog). With NN in 2nd trine Pluto: you are really happy about material things or better said: with the money. Regards, B. Neptune can actually be both, blind or ultra-perspective. Sometimes even at the same time.Often people with strong Neptune will be physically shortsighted, they somehow see "differently" than others, and often that translates either to complete confusion about how the world works and how others see things, or they are ultrasensitive. They don´t physically "see" things so much, as feel them. IP: Logged |

Dear B I am psychic and in that sense Neptune is good. It is hard when I want to live in a fairy tale and find it too hard to face real things with equanimity. Ami
