New Moon June 12, 2010Gemini 21:24 Sun and Moon
7:15 am EDT
4:15 am PDT
The New Moon for June 12, 2010 echoes the chart four days after the first of the three exceptionally creative Jupiter / Uranus conjunctions. The Jupiter / Uranus conjunction at 0 Aries took place at 7:25 am EDT on June 8, 2010. The New Moon in Gemini takes place at 7:15 am EDT four days later. Those two cosmic events make the angles in the charts virtually identical for our work under this directed New Moon.
Sitting right on the Ascendant angle of the chart cast for Washington, DC and the east coast of the United States is the South Node in Cancer which rules the past as well as the karma we arrived on earth to fulfill. On the 7th house cusp is Pluto and the North Node of destiny. Nodes on the angles indicate a major shift in the structure of our lives. In the next month, we have two major eclipses on those nodes, releasing our childhood and pasts and moving us forward to our next chapter. My father calls it moving up on the escalator of life. The folks ahead of us on the escalator get off and move on. We canft see them any more. In the meantime, behind us, new people get on the escalator (Hello Maeve!) as we move more towards the top of the moving staircase.
This is a transitional New Moon chart. We are supposed to transition. That means release, release, release the stuff that is part of our past and not going forward with us into the future. That means focus, focus, focus on the stuff we want to pack in our bags and our lives to take with us into the future.
There is a mystic rectangle in the New Moon chart. Events that seem like gfateh or gdestinyh or gmagich take place. It is like the doors are swung wide open for you to walk through. At the same time, the mystic rectangle will gblockh or ghinderh the directions the you are not supposed to go through. Do you remember the closing credits of the gGet Smart!h television show with Don Adams? The doors swing closed behind him as he walks through. There is also a sense under this New Moon of not being able to go back again. Often the universe lets us dawdle. Not now! It is crystal clear that we are to be moving on down the road to the next place or chapter in our lives.
The Gemini Moon brings a sense of choice with it. There is a sense of having to choose between various options or paths as we move forward. Mercury is in Gemini and just finished his trine to Saturn and square to Mars ~ so he and thus we are clear what we want to build and we are able to voice what we need, even if we might be a bit harsh in how we say it.
Mercury is moving into an inconjunct with Pluto where you are going to have to live in the moment and make a choice. The nice part is Venus is sextile to Saturn so you DO know what choice you want to make even if you are a bit anxious about it because Saturn is involved. Feel the anxiety. Hold onto your pinkie finger for clarity. Wiggle your thumbs for bravery and to get your will up. Then speak your heartfs desire and say what you want. The other person may, or may not, be able to do it. Regardless YOU need to know where YOU are clear! You need to speak your truth. You might even be surprised at how easy it is! Especially if youfve been doing your Saturn!
Jupiter and Uranus are high in the chart, joined up, making each other even more full of energy and fun. They are what made everything feel like it just sped up! They are in fast moving fire signs and raring to go out, kick butt, take action, jump up and go, move forward and conquer. Give them room to maneuver. They are full of brilliant ideas so let them have their vision quest to see what their brainstorming session brings up or comes up with. Highly creative, full of energy and perhaps even OVER wired, let them go forward full of the juices that fuel them.
Ceres moves backwards to square Saturn so we can find endings of our old life looming large before us or in our memory or in our heart. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, wrong with a good cry. Tears clear the air and help release the feelings so if you find emotions welling out of seemingly nowhere, let those tears flow. Saturn is inconjunct to Neptune so part of your old dream IS ending! You CANfT go back again. Like the steel doors in gGet Smarth slamming shut, there is a sense of permanence about the endings taking place now. There is a sadness to the endings too that must be held and comforted like a small child. Even as the ending marks the beginning of the new beginnings, it IS an ENDING. Honor it with a farewell ritual or tears or sadness. Hold it as part of your cherished past. It got you to where you are now.
It is a great New Moon for a ritual. Look at what house the New Moon falls (21:24 Gemini) and sit quietly with your dreams for that area of your life. Look at the burst of energy over in your Aries house where Jupiter and Uranus are starting a new story in your life. Combine the changes to move yourself forward.
DANCING COUPLES CROWD THE BARN IN A HARVEST FESTIVAL @
Commentary: eDancing Couples Crowd the Barn in a Harvest Festivalf. Successful achievements have been accomplished, such as the eHarvestf, and efforts have come to a fruitful conclusion and now it is time to gather together with others to celebrate. Everyone should share the pleasure that comes from a successful eHarvestf. The hard work is put behind them and they reap the rewards of the benefits available to them in their leisure time. As eThe Barnf is eCrowdedf, many people from the community come together to enjoy each other, the music and to dance. By gathering together and celebrating, a sense of community spirit can develop where there is always something to be celebrated, even if not your own success.
Oracle: This Symbol shows the need to be in tune with seasonal rhythms and the natural flow of life. The eHarvestf may mean many things. It can be the actual bringing in of a eHarvestf, the birth of a baby, the first performance at school, a religious ceremony, such as a communion or bar mitzvah, or a job well done. It is wonderful when we all come together and warmly and sincerely congratulate someone who has good news without nagging feelings of jealousy or resentment. There is a need to get back to a simpler, conservative level of enjoyment where each and every personfs achievement is everybodyfs pleasure. This can lead to an increased understanding and concern for the individuals within our community. It is also possible for one personfs pain to become everyonefs care. Whatever, the feeling of a healthy heart and a healthy mind, while taking a break from the struggles of providing, is what gives us the strength for the battles of life. Perhaps itfs time to kick up your heels and dance. Whatever, see if you can take some time out to enjoy your environment, the gifts of nature and the people around you.
Keywords: Celebrating the warmth and providence of the Earth. The joy of naturefs harvest. Joining with others to celebrate. The reality of rhythmical or seasonal adjustments. Agriculture. Good old time values. Issues of pride in onefs place. Going out, having fun, listening and dancing to music. Square dancing, ballroom dancing etc. Barns and dance halls.
The Caution: Being the wallflower and not participating. Waiting for a special invitation rather than responding to the possibilities available. Resentment. Isolation. Going alone. False displays of community. Shallowness. Attention paid to only those who are important. Not participating because of not having a partner.
