Who are your closest friends and what is your chart and theirs? You can post placements or post the charts - whatever you like. I'm mainly curious about personal planets. Do you find patterns - where you attract the same placements or aspects?
(Mention how many years you have been friends.) I'll start. Me: Aries Sun, Cap Moon, Cancer AC, Pisces Mercury, Taurus Venus, Capricorn Mars Best friend since high school (been friends for over 10 years): Pisces Sun, Taurus Moon, Pisces Mercury, Aries Venus, Aries Mars. This girl is just gold. Very close friend - always cheers me up and she's always there when something new happens in my life. I don't know how she does it: Gemini Sun, Gemini Moon, Taurus Mercury, Aries Venus, Gemini Mars. She so much fun! (I've known her for 10 years as well since school). We're all friends ^^ Me, Pisces and Gem girl. My mum is just the strongest person ever. She knows me inside and out. The only person who truly knows me - everything I stand for - the things that mean most to me. She's amazing. I am in complete awe of my mum and everything she's been through and the person she is. She's truly an inspiration and model of strength for me: Leo Sun, Gemini Moon, Leo Mercury, Libra Venus, Scorpio Mars.  I'd love to read other people's! :edit:
You know what else would be interesting? We could define what friendship is for us. For me friendship is *action*. A friend in need is a friend indeed. The reason these people mean so much to me is their *deeds* throughout the years. The fact that they were *there* through bad times and they listened to my thoughts, my cries.. They were there through the happy times and they shared them with me.. They know soooooooooo many ups and downs I've been through at so many ages. They just know ME..and I know them. I'd trust them with my life. They often offered support in important things.
I'm an earthy person - so friendship is a practical matter.. It's about *doing* - buying little presents (back and forth) - offering to do certain things to *help* the person practically when they have a problem etc. Also - friendship is *time* for me.. I can only truly feel someone is my *close* friend when I trust them and when we've both proven to each other that we were *there* when needed --- throughout the years. IP: Logged |

No need to post charts.Jupiter/Sun/Moon aspects dominate the synastry with my closest compadres. I have had three best friends since I was 14; My Jupiter conjuncts one's Sun, and the other's Moon. These two can Never be replaced. I'm 22 now and we are still closer than ever! My Jupiter in Taurus
One's Moon in Taurus
One's Sun in Taurus. When we were younger, we would never be apart from each other. My mom even thought they were taking me away from her. lol IP: Logged |

Cool!I gotta run, hafta work, but I'll add to this later when I can look them up. The ones I know for sure: Aries Sun, Pisces rising (28years?)

Saggie Sun, Pisces rising Ten years What defines friendship. Hmmm, lots of things, but with these girls, we can go months without talking, and pick right up where we left off.
They always 'get' me, no questions asked.

I may be in a different position cuz I am coming out of a numb state.
I did not chose friends but rather fell in to friendships.
I ,actually ,fell in to everything from age 14 until now lol
I have two wonderful real life friends and two wonderful online friends.
I am not sure of all the placements but my heart tells me it fits before the chart confirms it.
I think the people are all across the board--sign wise and placement wise but when I check the chart-they always fit in some special way.

My best friend of twenty-fours years is a Cancer (today is her birthday), Capricorn Moon, Mars/Jupiter in Aries (conjunct my Mercury/Sun), Venus in Leo (trine the same Aries planets).
I forget the rest of our synastry.

I hadn't read your signature, until you pointed it out (just skimming for now - not feeling so hot, and I have to go). I'm tempted to ask what brought that on (wondering if I missed something).  Mum: Sadge Sun, Libra Moon/Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune, Aries or taurus asc (most likely). Sister: Cappy Sun, Pisces Moon/ascendant, Aquarian Venus sextile my Mercury/Sun. Dad, at times: Taurus Sun/Moon conjunct my descendant, Venus in Pisces, Jupiter in Scorpio, Mars/mercury in Aries, Sadge ascendant trine my Mercury/Sun. No longer in my life, but was a friend first: taurus Sun/Moon conjunct my descendant, Venus/jupiter in Pisces, Mercury in Aries, conjunct my Mercury/Ceres/Chiron/Sun, Mars/Saturn in Cancer trine my Mars/Uranus/ascendant, Ascendant in Leo. lol Your best friend's chart sounds similar to my chart!I've had the new sig, since I changed my nick - but I usually forget to use it. Is there a way to make it automatic?

1. Sag Sun/Capricorn Moon/Possible Cancer Rising (guess I made based on her height and her face). Ummmm, we've known eachother since the 3rd grade and we used to be best friends, but grew apart after I went to a different middle school. We found eachother on FB last year and its nice to know we still have alot in common.
2. Sag Sun/Virgo Moon/ Unknown rising (my guess is Capricorn though, based on the number of Tauruses and Cancers she attracts). She is my best friend since highschool and we have things in common, but she hasn't always been reliable...especially when she has a boyfriend (she's a Scorpio Venus...go figure).
3. Sag Sun/Aquarius Moon/Unknown Rising. Cool thing about her is that even when we haven't seen eachother for aaages, we can still pick up where we left off. I've known her since highschool as well.
4. Pisces Sun/Scorpio Moon/Virgo Rising. Like wow...me and this girl's lives are PARALLEL. Its freaky...we have sooo much in common. LMAO. Its weird how not alot ruffles her, but she has some extreme likes and dislikes....just like I do. LOL We've been friends for almost 2 years now.
The pattern with the first 3 is obvious, but the last one is definitely the affinity we have with eachother being water suns and 8th house/Scorpio or 3rd house/Mercurial moons.

Gemini Venus

It'd be interesting to compare NN and angle synastry aspects with these best friends that last so long! I've noticed that the people who stay in my life the longest have strong angle/node contacts. Another strong point of comparison is the contacts the person's most "dominant" planet (chart ruler usually) makes to the other person, or that planet in the other person's chart making strong contacts to the first person's planets (wow hope that made sense).I met my best friend in high school and when we saw each other we both kinda decided that the other was going to be "the best friend". She introduces me as her "hetero-life mate" and I introduce her as my "German bodyguard". We've been best friends for six years, which is a record for me. I am Cancer Sun, Cap Moon, Leo Merc, Virgo Venus, Cap Mars, Gem Rising (The backstage) She is Aries Sun, Aries Moon, Pisces Merc, Pisces Venus, Taurus Mars, Leo Rising (The show) Her ruling planet is Mars to me. Her chart ruler is the Sun, but it is in Aries along with her Moon, Jupiter, and NN. So I find Mars to be more important to her (well, you can also deduce this from observing her). Her Mars is trine my Moon and sextile my Sun/Merc. Her Sun/Jupiter/NN conjunction is square my Mars. Her Moon is also conjunct my NN. My ruling planet is Mercury. Her AC is conjunct my Mercury and her Jupiter trine it. Her Mercury is square my AC and opposite my Venus, sextile my Mars. Huh, just noticed that she is "Mars" while I am "Mercury" and her Mars sextiles my Mercury and visa versa. Anyone else notice a chart ruler aspect similarity like that? IP: Logged |

At the moment my closest friend is one woman, Cancer Sun, Cancer ASC and Moon in Taurus, born 1976: Her Jupiter conjunct my Venus
Her Moon exact on my Sun.
Her Venus exact on my Mars (we are not that, but she helps me a lot!).

bopbop, you're on to something I've noticed that too, the nodal contact just has to be there.
And I also noticed that, as it is with unrequited love, it has to be a double whammy, or the planet person feels like it's too much, and backs off.And from what I've experienced, it's not just about the angles, the nodes could be contacting any personal planet. IP: Logged |

bopbop - I like your theory, but I seldom have accurate ascendants for people. Just my luck.The Nodes thing is true! My two close friends (above) had Pluto in Scorpio like my own (which is on my SN).. and they have Mercury in Taurus (Gem girl) and Moon in Taurus (Pisces girl)... conjunct my Venus/NN in Taurus. My mum has Mars in Scorpio on my SN. I have Chiron on her Moon/NN in Gemini. IP: Logged | |
