" Mars is in BOTH Cancer and Leo. Yes i said both. It literally is passing from one to the other when she was born. "This is a crucial point and a very important discovery. IP: Logged |

Interesting. Had a friend that had the same sun/moon opposition and was definitely like two different people, I never met anyone quite like him. He was also diagnosed bipolar. I noticed that he seemed to rely on his venus/mars to get along but wasn't very successful. His cancer stellium including his sun are in the 12th with the cap moon in the 7th conj. the dc. He's very troubled and I think of him often, hoping that he will find his way out.I have read a lot about the sun/moon opposition being very difficult. The masculine and the feminine energies never able to join together. I have a few oppositions in my own chart and I find them more difficult to deal with than squares. I hope that your friend is able to find some relief in her discovery and diagnosis. Bi-polar disorder has its gifts but is very hard for friends and family to understand, furthering the sense of isolation that the bi-polar person already feels. IP: Logged |

I am just curious,Alf, if there were any placements which could be used as gifts i.e ways to help offset the hard aspects you described? Thanks very much, Ami

Yes how do you interpret this IQ? One could say this of itself may lend itself to having an element of 'devided self'. Although i feel it's hard to say in this instance as it is confounded by the potent opposition Mars itelf is part of. The tight oppostition of the Moon at 29 degrees Cap (perhaps ranging to 1 degree Aq) opposed by Mercury conjunct Mars occupying the end of Cancer and the start of Leo (in Mars' case) is a potent opposition. It is easy to see where this could effect the emotions, thinking patterns, and endocrine system resulting in a swinging pattern in the behaviours, thoughts, and even physiology of the subject. Hormonal imbalance is another part of what has been diagnosed. ------------------ Lack of Earth. Lack of Bu11shit.

My best friend has Sun in Cancer, Moon in Capricorn, and she's one of the most likable, stable people I know. Married since 2001, two children, popular, good-hearted, grounded, no need for drama. IP: Logged |

"Anyway interestingly this week she has been to see another psychiatrist who has said she probably has Bipolar disorder although they're not ruling out autism either."Why does the psychiatrist say that she probably has bipolar? Does she show signs of mania and depression like grandiosity, rapid/pressured speech, racing thoughts, extreme highs/lows. As for autism, does she come across as being autistic in any way. Does she have problems with nonverbal communications like difficulty understanding social/emotional cues? Does she have issues with extreme hypersensitivity to her environment that can lead to her shutting off or having emotional melt down. Does she have a history of speech delays? Speech delays would rule out Aspergers Syndrome. People with Aspergers Syndrome are said to have at least average intelligence. Many of them have above average intelligence and can be gifted. They can be very verbal, but they can have a monotonous and idiosyncratic way of speaking. They can have problems with small talk. They will tend to have obsessive interest in something and can be very good at it, and they can go on and on about it and be oblivious to what others think and feel about it even though they make it known with their gestures and facial expressions. People who don't understand Aspergers Syndrome might think that they have a Narcissists. They can take things too literally. Aspergers tend to have problems with motor skills/coordination and they can be clumsy. There is strong overlap between Autistic Spectrum and Dyspraxia. Psychiatrists that have a clue would know better to differentiate Aspergers Syndrome from Schizoid Personality Disorder, Schizotypal Personality Disorder.
It's not uncommon for people with Autistic Spectrum to be misdiagnosed as having Bipolar, Schizophrenia. In the book, The Bipolar Child by Demetri Paplos, Aspergers Syndrome was listed as one of the conditions that are often misdiagnosed as Bipolar. There are people that are high functioning autistics and aren't Aspergers. They have a history of delays in speech. Dr. Temple Grandin is a perfect example of that.
Autism doesn't necessarily effect intelligence. The wrong intelligence tests have been given to autistics who tend to be extremely visual, picture thinkers. " She's 37 but is like a 12 year old in alot of ways." How does she act like a 12 year old in a lot of ways?
" Also she has apparantly been having paranoid delusions and thinking her neighbours have it in for her." There are people that believe that aliens are among us and have taken over governments, etc. There are people that believe in conspiracy theories and they involve religion, politics, and other things where ideology is involved.
maybe she isn't paranoid delusional. Maybe she is sane. ------------------ Raymond Andrews, President,Executive Director of Developmental Neurodiversity Association Supporting the Neurodiversity Movement A Different Mind Is Not A Deficient Mind. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=131944976821905&ref=ts IP: Logged |

This thread is just another grand example of projection. Por exemple: quote: She's 37 but is like a 12 year old in alot of ways.

Actually, this kid was interested in your posts. I remember you blaming her Venus in Gemini, and not listening to those of us who have the placement, who said that we didn't act that way. IP: Logged |
