I would judge that by his actions, not his chart.

I mean a birth chart can show so many possibilities. This guy could easily be a teacher, a writer, a journalist who travels around the world, an ambassador, a politician, a gambler, con-artist - and many other things.. if we go by "inclinations" his chart shows.

(Actually he has a pretty impressive chart.. Very charismatic - someone you would take notice of in a crowd - and someone who has something to *say* to the world.
I wouldn't be surprised if the theme of what happened - was something like "being idealized at first and falling from grace or being publicly humiliated for his actions")

It's more about the choices he makes and also the opportunities presented to him throughout his life (these can show up in transits/progressions sometimes).

I think that if this guy had an opportunity to make money in a relatively easy way that he enjoys... he wouldn't have been convicted. But sometimes we "make" our own opportunities materialize. Maybe he didn't know how to - or felt he couldn't find a way out (other than an illegal way).

I am guessing (this is a stab in the dark, purely based on his chart) that it was a theft - or something along those lines..

I agree

You can't tell morals and ethics from looking at an astrological chart.

I even tried to stress that point in another thread about selfishness.

I am also the son of 2 ex-convicts. My father spent time in prison for selling drugs for his uncle in Los Angeles back in the 1960's. He was an ex-convict and recovering drug addict when he met my mother.

My mother went to jail for a drug-related stuff when I was 2 as well as an attempted robbery with a gun lighter in a bar when she was drunk when I was 9 at a time when she was unemployed and on welfare with my stepfather away.

I don't think that people that spend time in correctional facilities are necessarily bad people.

I believe that what they did was bad, but I wouldn't necessarily say that they are bad.

People can change and can deserve 2nd chances.

Dy-na-mi-tee & Glaucus,

Excellent explainations. I whole heartedly agree. This guy is still young, probably in his late 20's. What a perfect time to have a 2nd chance and truly understand how valuable that is.

I see a chart of someone lazy. I think he will always have extreme difficulty with the "real world" and responsibilities. He will probably seek out someone who will take care of him or end up attracting that.

Writesomething-

Could you explain your answer please? I'm curious to see what lead you to your conclusion.

Thanks!

Agreed with some of the comments here.

Its hard to explain but I believe if you have a good heart with good intentions and have a strong personal moral code and ethic, well that to me would count so much more than someone's past.

I've done lots of bad things and probably do have a "past" (according to other people) but I'm not ashamed because it made me the good person I try to be everyday.

But of course, its definitely a case by case thing where you have to take in a lot of factors into the equation. Breaking a person down isn't so simple, though I wish it was. It would make life so much more simpler, true?

I noticed that he has Mercury square Mars-Jupiter
and that aspects the Geocentric Ixion Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius

I wish that I knew his birthdata, I'd checked his Ixion and his Geocentric Ixion Nodes

Ixion is a transneptunian dwarf planet candidate/plutino that has to do with 2nd chances, matters involving gratitude,lust/sex

as a transneptunian dwarf planet candidate, it has to do with evolutionary intensification

I see him a little on the selfish side, but I don't know why you'd think something is 'wrong' with him. He made a mistake and maybe he's better now, you never know.

I don't know, Ami. Just the way his chart looks to me...sorry I can't be more specific
I actually think more like self-absorbed maybe more than selfish, even self-centered. But I don't think 'bad' necessarily.

Re: Writesomething's response,

The whole lazy factor and the "being take care of" can be the case many times when you have a Jupiter-Neptune aspect, but I think that he experienced that on the most extreme level by being imprisoned, but I think that Mars being conjunct Jupiter and square to Neptune, this gives him more energy to work with than if Mars wasn't there.

Only by looking at future transits, progressions and Solar Arcs and discussion with this young man can we tell what his character is truly like.

I have venus and jupiter in the 5th both squaring neptune in the 8th. Neptune also exactly sextiles my sun in libra, moon is in cappy like him. I can be very lazy and sometimes selfish, i want to be taken care of and find it hard to stand on my own two feet. I'm a real dreamer and not much of a doer. I also attract other peolpe who are like this. I hate these traits in myself. I can also see the selfish maybe inconsiderate aspect in his chart with these factors three planets in sag. I read somewhere that in extreme cases people with venus square neptune will retreat into themselves and lead private lives of dreaming, I can sometimes see this in myself.
