Yesterday, several in my shaman community did an ancestral unwinding ceremony. In this ceremony, we go and "unwine" karma or idea/beliefs/thoughts that no longer serve us. For example, one of the ancestors I choose to unwined was my grandmother, who was a child of a family of 13 children who survived the depression. One of the ideas she ingrained in us was that life is hard, and you can never have enough...life is struggle. Well, considering what she lived through, of course she thought this and passed it down to her children/grand children.

In one afternoon, we loving thanked her for her hard work in her lifetime, and undid that bit of karmic energy that she passed down to us that really wasn't in harmony to live with anymore. it was powerful to do what usually takes years in therapy to remove in an afternoon, for me, for my mother and for my children. Since the process removes it for them too.

I found it interesting that Gemini in Venus posted that for those with this lunar moon hitting the 5th house (which it did for me) that it would affect children and a maybe a romantic interest...for me it did both! This healing is helping my children start with a more clean slate and has helped me refocus on healing our family and moving forward in harmony and love. And, well my romantic interest and I had a discussion that started ugly but ended up being extremely healing for the both of us...diffinately helping us to move forward.

What I am noticing about these energies, is...we can either fear it or align with it and help heal and shift things in our lives that are not in harmony anymore. Either way this energy is coming, why not take advantage of it and heal? I really feel that these alignments are asking us to do that, bring up old things that are ready to move on and be cleared out...helping us welcome in the new.
