Topic: Saturn Transits: 12th through 1st

Hi all.
I'm new to this forum, although I've been stalking it for months now.  I want to talk about Saturn, and judging from past posts, he's both feared and loved.
Does anyone have experience with Saturn transiting from the 12th house to the 1st? I went through it about 12 years ago, I was 10. I heard that when Saturn is in your 12th, things happen to you that make you "vulnerable". My mother died a few months before that transit, when Saturn was right in the middle of the house, making a conjunction to my Sun in Aries. Not a tight one, I believe about 7 degrees from it. I know Saturn is the "teacher" and I believe I learned SO much in those 7 years (Saturn moving from my 12th to my 3rd). A dear friend of mine is almost going through the same things I did all those years ago. Saturn was in 12th, and her mother died. Now its at the end of her 12th making a conjunction to her Ascendant. It's been a year, since her mother's passing and she took time away in November of 09 to "find herself" as she called it. Which I know Saturn transit the 1st house makes one more reserved and focused on self. The first house is self after all. We haven't really talked in 7 months. Anyway, I thought it was interesting that it both happen to us, especially after reading this article:

When Saturn went through my 12th it was a great 2 years for me! I realized I wasn't scared of the dark or loneliness. It was sextile all my cancer planets as it passed. Now it just entered my first and it will square all my cancer planets. I was the happiest I had been in so long while it wAs in my 12th and the most productive two years of my life along with transit Uranus trine my sun. Saturn rules my fifth and is natally placed in my first house. I did live alone and stayed home alot after I traveled for one year even when I traveled I stayed in the mountains far from civilisation IP: Logged |

yes ive been having it and now it is almost cj my ascendant.im sorry that you and your friend have had to pass such a death.hope you are in peace with it now. as for me,well,it was not that easy no...i had to digg in into myself and awake all my fears and skeletons i had in the closet.saturn made me face what i didnt wanted to see abot myself,all my insecurities and fears.but by doing that i was able to see that most of it,are afterall illusions and tricks of our Mind.we have nothing to be afraid of and we´re perfectly perfect in Essence. i was able to see things and Life from a higher perspective,started reading a lot,and came across with some very interesting things and people. im a new person now.a person that is more intune with my Higher Self and more aware of my own spirituality,which is the only thing that matters really. once we know ourselves,we are able to see "beyond" and start living life at its fullest. dont worry: saturn in 1st is the time for preparing to make dreams come true.there might appear added rsponsabilities for the person,and that s all great and needed for our growth.
