For those who think it doesn't apply to them, are you sure that you have the right ascendant and/or the right 5th house either for you or for your parents or children? For a long time, I thought I was Aquarius rising because my mom told me the wrong time of birth, but when I found my birth document and I looked up the time, it turned out I was Pisces rising, which made much more sense in my chart...

I'm certain I have the right ascendants and 5th houses for all involved parties, but the theory doesn't bear out for my mother and her children nor does it bear out for many other mothers (friends and family) in my database. Sorry, but it's too hit-and-miss for me to consider it a viable theory.

I have no 5th house planets and the 5th house ruler is Cancer. My son is a Capricorn and a Libra ascendant so it doesn't work for him.

It might work for me though, my Mom's 5th house is empty also but the sign on the cusp is Pisces and I'm a Pisces rising.

My mother might have Mars/Pluto in her fifth house - we have no birth time, though (only my grandmother's insisting that she was born between 1pm and 3pm).

I have an Aries Sun, and Mars trine my Scorpio ascendant.

My sister's ascendant is at the very end of Pisces, and the rest of her first house is Aries. She also has Mars squaring her ascendant.
