Sometimes when I'm bored, I like to try and understand my Unaspected Singleton Venus via google. On one particularly slow night at work I stumbled across an interesting piece on ALL venuses: it was some heavy research project done by one of the astrologers at Astro.com, and the result is a number of really cool stories shared by real life people. I favorited it and completely forgot about it until now....when I've decided to share this with you all. Enjoy! http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_venus2_e.htm

Thanks for posting this link! To be honest, I'd preferred a more "scientific" approach ... - but still, I found the piece on VIRGO-Venus very good. It comes close to how I'd describe my own Venus (Virgo, 9th house, sq. ASC): quote: Consider Venus in Virgo. Astrology books typically portray her as an uptight school marm, cold in love, full of criticism. But as a group, the Virgo Venuses I found were more sensuous than any other sign-if sensuality is measured not by how quickly one falls into bed with a lover, but how developed are one's senses, how attuned one is to the pleasures of taste, sight, touch, and sound. The Venus Virgos loved quality more than criticism. They were so at home in the natural world, that shy as they indeed were, they enjoyed being naked to a much higher degree than any other sign. How should we write this up for a cookbook? Consider the following description from one of my Venus-in-Virgo participants:"My Venus is strong, willowy, and magical. Amazonian. Very grounded yet full of life force. She can perform seemingly impossible feats. She is a loner. Connected to nature. Out in the moonlight conversing with stars. She has the kind of eyes you fall into and don't want to climb out of. She is pure openness and fluidity. She can't be held or possessed, only delighted in-if you are fortunate enough to encounter her. She is strangely powerful yet timid, rare as a unicorn and equally as shy." The portrait is fanciful, but captures Virgo's femininity better than anything I've seen in an astrology book.
It also says: quote: Virgo and Scorpio are the signs most associated with research. Virgo has the patience and analytical curiosity to complete a lengthy survey. Scorpio enjoys probing beneath the surface into psychological patterns and causes.
I can relate to that pretty well - maybe beacuse I'm not only a Virgo-Venus, but also a Scorpio-ASC. IP: Logged |

haha, Diablo...going into Taurus Venus mode, eh? Alvarella777, I'm glad you liked and found truth in this. Im a Virgo Moon and I read an article posted in this forum about my placement that talked about the sensousness of Virgo, and it also said the same thing! Apparently its always overlooked just because we're picky or overcritical...haha.

Hahaha bad! Typical sensual taurus, likes to have the auditory senses pleased lol Very interesting article, despite having my Venus in an exalted sign, my mars & mercury are in their fall so it added a sort of new perspective to that IP: Logged |

My Venus is in the 5th house. Diablo, you have mercury in Cancer, no? I do too and I had no idea that it was in the fall there.

Benedict My Gemini Venus is unaspected ,too, as I have said. It is in the 7th house with Taurus on the cusp. Based on my sense of my Venus--I want to ask you some things about yours. Do you love fun? Do you love games, teasing, flirting lol? Do you feel you are joyful and creative? I am thinking that the house would be stronger if the Venus is unaspected. Ami

I feel like there has to be some 'fun' to everything I do. For example, I could never keep up an exercise (sp?) routine until I found Zumba (dance-workout routine). Because before Zumba, exercise was like a chore I had to do. O__o Even my job has to be fun, and it has been when I wasn't being constantly floated to other floors. *__* I do have a creative streak which oftens comes out in writing, or some other random ways. For instance, I just finished up a little make-up project based on the 2010 World Cup. I did different eye-make-up based on a bunch of countries/regions like Brasil, Pan Africa, Spain, USA, etc.
As for flirting, it depends on who you ask. If someone starts up a conversation and Im interested in them or what they have to say, then I won't snub them. But people just see me talking to another guy and assume its something else. But if Im not in the mood, then I won't even make small talk (the despositor of my Venus is in Cancer so maybe that has a say). Flirting, to me, would be my ex (with Venus in Libra). Whereas I liked interesting conversation, he just liked attention. Like I told MVM, I do relate to the sign placement on some levels (like my love of books and writing, and taste in clothes), but I can never attach myself to the 'fickle in love' part of the Gemini Venus description, and my venus expresses itself randomly and immodestly (or unbalanced) in romantic situations. Benedict If you don't want to bother fine---but I wanted to ask you a question. You have Gemini on the 5th house with your Venus in it--right? How is Cancer the despositor of it??? Is the moon the despositor of your chart? Thanks Benedict Ami ------------------ I am two with nature. Eighth House Stellium IP: Logged |

I have Taurus on the 5th house cusp, with 2/3 of Gemini in the 5th as well (I'm a 21 degree Capricorn Asc.) The dispositor (sp?) is the planet that recieves the energy of another planet via the sign rulership. Quite simply: since my Venus is in Gemini, mercury is its dispositor since Mercury rules Gemini. My mercury is in Cancer, so that's where my comment came from.

Thank you (((Benedict))) Mercury is in Cancer. I get it. So, the fickle quality of Gemini is modified by the constant quality of Cancer. x o x Ami
